About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs, including a Golden Retriever and a Collie, and I’ve always had a soft spot for animals of all kinds. After settling down and starting our family, we were ready to welcome a dog back into our lives. In 2024, we adopted Izzy, our sweet and friendly German Shorthaired Pointer. Our family absolutely loves having Izzy around, and I’d love the opportunity to give your dog that same attention, affection, and care while you’re away. I work from home, so your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. They’ll have plenty of companionship throughout the day, along with playtime, potty breaks, attention, and lots of love. If you prefer I visit your home to check in on your animal, I am happy to do so. I can stay at your home between 9a-2pm M-F or pop in on weeknights and weekends, or you may opt to board them at our home. We live in a clean, comfortable, family-friendly home on nearly half an acre with a fully fenced yard and a doggie door. Dogs staying with us can easily go in and out throughout the day to play, explore, relax in the yard, or come back inside whenever they want. Your dog will be treated like one of the family and cared for in a safe, loving home environment. “Five stars, no hesitation. Luz came out to the curb to meet us at drop-off, which was such a thoughtful touch. There’s always that awkward moment as a first-time visitor where you’re not sure whether to knock or ring the doorbell, and she just took that off the table entirely. She followed all my care instructions carefully and, most impressively, rolled with a last-minute curveball: our younger dog ended up needing his neuter surgery earlier than expected, so she had to take on a whole set of post-op instructions with very little notice. She handled it without missing a beat. Her own dog was an absolute gem, calm, gentle, not a barker. That matters more than it might sound. I always worry about my dogs picking up bad habits from an anxious or reactive dog, and that was just never a concern here. Both of my dogs are Chihuahua mix puppies, which is exactly as much energy as it sounds like. She had nothing but kind things to say about them at pick-up, which honestly I appreciated, because I can barely say that about them on a high-energy day. Most telling: they were asleep within 60 seconds of getting in the car. That’s always my gold standard for a good stay. She was also wonderfully communicative throughout, sending pictures and videos regularly. I don’t always need that from a sitter, but with someone new, it means everything to know they’re being attentive. Luz absolutely was. I’ve used a number of sitters in the Roseville and Rocklin area over the years and honestly never walked away from a drop-off feeling truly at ease. This was the first time. I felt confident the whole time that my dogs were in the best possible hands. Highly recommend, especially if you have puppies or dogs with special needs.”

I would love to spend time and help with your animals by walking, bathing, feeding, or just give them some extra love. I love the pups and kitties that are happy to be loved and given attention but am aways ready for a crazy love bug or nervous pup/ a kitty that just needs space or might have spice (I don’t do at home cat boarding). If needed I can provide Nail clipping and grind for dogs! also clips for cats, bunny’s, guinea pig’s, and bearded dragons. My best interest is always your fur baby’s comfort and to not to stress him/her out, I have learned over the years body language of pups and kitties and when what’s going on is to much “how to read the room” I’ve cared for many puppies (preferably when vaccinated) And have dealt with many crazy puppies! I’ve cared for lots of older pups as well, if they need extra care I will always be sure to give them that and the love they need. If your older pup or younger pup needs medication I have been trained on giving medication in food/ treat, pilling, and injections. My weeks are always filled with taking care of Pups and kitties along with my own 4 legged friends and I couldn’t see it any other way, It always makes the day better meeting and getting to love your furry friend! I will always do my best to give your fur baby the space they need when needed or the love they want when wanted, making sure they have a good experience with someone new! And if needed give some special care for the fur baby's that need a little extra help and love, trying to give them the love and support I would give my own baby!

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 9 years now! I have experience caring for many different dogs, big and small, young and old. I adore dogs and cats, and it's a pleasure to care for them! I am available during the week and weekends to do overnight or check in visits. I currently work at the library, but only 4 hours at a time so the pets I look after aren’t alone for too long. Flexible drop off and pick up times are huge and are one of the biggest hassles when dealing with a kennel.
