About: Hi there! I’m Barr, a wife and mother with a lifelong love for animals. We have a sweet 15-year-old Jack Russell named Indie, and I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet. Animals have always been a huge part of our family, and our compassion for them is one of the reasons we chose a vegan lifestyle. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, where I gained hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their health and well-being. As a mom, I’m now looking to earn a little extra income while doing something that truly matters to me—spending time with and caring for animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. She came and met our furry family and was very attentive to the details of how to care for them. Prior to our vacation, she checked in and was very communicative and excited to come and stay. I sent a few videos via the app on some updated protocols with the kitty meds, and she was on it! While she was here, she sent sweet pics of our kitties and kept us posted. Our cats are “elders” and needs meds, and she did a great job handling all of it! She left our house spotless and communicated prior to heading out as well. About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was just a baby, all my family members have had puppies and doggies and can always rely on me to watch them when they’ve needed it. On days that I am not working I would love to be walking or sitting dogs! I usually go for morning and sunset walks everyday so I would be happy to have a friend join me! Also am available to watch dogs while you’re away on vacation, just not at my house because I’m not allowed to have pets in my apartment. I will follow exactly how you’d like your dog to be taken care of! About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life. I walk a malamute and husky a lot. I pet sit for smaller dogs too. I love walking dogs because it’s a good exercise for them I’m currently looking for a job so I have a lot of time to hangout and play with your animals and to care for them When walking dogs I walk them for an hour and I always bring water to make sure they get the water they need and don’t overheat
About: People often say I have a way with animals. They always seem drawn to me immediately, even when they are wary of others. I feel honored that animals feel this way about me because I feel the same about them! I have cared for many dogs of all sizes as well as owned cats. I have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand that has many disabled dogs as well as fostered cats/kittens here at home. I have a big fenced yard with both grass and forest to run and play. I don’t have multiple dogs staying with me at one time ( unless discussed in advance) so your baby will get all the attention. Although I will never replace you, I can provide love and safety until you return (and probably some treats and adventures too!) I'm currently not working and can dedicate my time to pet/house sitting and care. As you can see from my photo gallery, I love all animals and have volunteered at a dog rescue in Thailand, fostered kittens at home, and have seen very cool animals in the wild and at animal rescues/sanctuaries around the world. (I always vet them to make sure they are ethical and doing legit work) I have a large fenced yard and indoor space for cats or dogs. We have plenty of shade and are also willing to take pets with us on outings. I live with my husband and son and they also love and respect animals. As far as caring for pets at someone else's home, I can stay at your house or check in as often as needed. About: I grew up here in Northern California with many different loyal pet dogs. After high school I joined the Army and got out of active duty in 2017. Long story short I moved to Alaska with my pet dog from Yuba City where I learned to be a dog musher and she learned to be sled dog. I’ve worked for various different high level sled dog kennels, thousands of different dogs, thousands of hours with dogs, thousands of miles with dogs, and even spent a year working at an Athletic & Longevity Canine Research Facility under the mentorship of some of best veterinarians and scientists. Otherwise I am fully available for long weekends. :) In my own home I have reptiles and three cats and one older dog around. We have a sweet 15-year-old Jack Russell named Indie, and I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet. Animals have always been a huge part of our family, and our compassion for them is one of the reasons we chose a vegan lifestyle.
