“I’ve had one bad experience with rover and I swore to never use it again but Cooper and Nora changed my mind. I booked with them very last minute and they responded within a few minutes! Showing up to the house the environment seemed so friendly and safe and I’m so thankful for that. Cooper and Nora gave my puppy the time and attention and fun he needed all while sending me pictures as an update! And even gave my baby breezy a bath before I picked him up. We have many years of experience as dog owners and understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. We’re a great fit for small to medium, friendly dogs who enjoy playing and being around other dogs and children. We can only consider dogs that are non-aggressive and great with other dogs and children. Please communicate with us about your pets needs and we’d be happy to accommodate. We’d love to care for your doggy like our own! We both work from home with flexible schedules, so your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, and love throughout the day. We are available to board weekdays and weekends and over holidays. We have a fenced backyard and a French bulldog who loves company. “We couldn't be happier with the care Skilly received! From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in great hands. They made Skilly feel comfortable, loved, and right at home, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received updates and could tell she was being treated like part of the family. When we picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Skilly. We will absolutely be using your services again and highly recommend you to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“We had a wonderful experience and would give more than 5 stars if we could! Our dog was so comfortable and happy during her stay, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout our trip - we received regular updates and felt confident that our dog was well cared for. It’s clear they genuinely love animals and provide a safe, welcoming environment. We would happily book with them again and highly recommend to other pet parents!”

“We had a wonderful experience booking with Kalia. She was always quick to respond to booking requests, messages, and was very understanding when we had to cancel a different booking due to a change in plans. She sent regular updates and pictures of our boy and I could tell he was having a great visit with her and her two goldens. She put our mind at ease as this was our first time booking through Rover. We had used boarding facilities in the past and our boy would come back overstimulated and often with tummy issues, but it was not the case when he stayed with Kalia. We will definitely book with her again next time!”

“Our dog is a typical German Shepherd, super attached and a good amount of anxiety. So we were definitely concerned about leaving her for 10 days. With Ashley, we learned quickly we had nothing to worry about. They bonded right away and the happy dog photos she sent along during our trip are some of the best photos we have of her. Ashley was incredibly caring and kept our pup on a consistent daily schedule. I highly recommend Ashley for caring for your pets.”

“My dog can be a bit leery of new people but she trusted Kalia right away. Kalia was super professional, kind, on time and even sent me a photo during their walk. I will be booking again!”

About: My life has always been centered around animals. From the age of nine, I’ve been a dedicated pet owner, consistently sharing my home with both dogs and cats. A Lifetime of Compassionate Care: My extensive, lifelong experience covers a wide range of needs. I recently cared for my own beloved senior dog through age-related health issues, providing me with intimate and patient experience in senior pet care, including managing specialized needs and medication. Over the years, I've been the go-to sitter for family and friends, looking after their pets with the same dedication I give my own. This, combined with my prior volunteer work at local animal shelters, has given me a deep understanding of animal behavior and welfare. I approach pet sitting not just as a service, but as a commitment to ensuring your furry family member feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I work part-time from home, which means I am present most of the day, ensuring constant supervision and a predictable, secure routine. I'm available seven days a week to provide reliable and loving care for your furry family member. I live in a comfortable, clean apartment that is free of other pets and children, ensuring a calm and focused environment for your dog. While I don't have a private yard, we have immediate access to open fields and a walking trail right nearby. We enjoy daily walks and adventures on the trails for exercise and stimulation!

We look forward to reaching out to them again when we’re back in the area! 🐾”

“Had a great experience with daycare! Bethany was very easy to communicate with. Could tell my pup had a great time and was really convenient for dropoff/pickup for our day trip to Channel Islands. Would highly recommend”

About: Hi! I’m Kayla, a lifelong dog lover and animal person. I raised a 15-year-old Havanese from puppyhood through her senior years, and now share my life with Willow, my playful and social one-year-old cattle dog mix who absolutely loves having dog friends around. We live on a peaceful mountain property near Carpinteria with lots of outdoor space to explore. Our days are full but relaxed — usually a mix of time at home while I work on graduate school coursework, walks around the property, afternoon rest time, and beach outings or little adventures into town. I love matching each dog’s energy level — whether that means active hikes and play sessions or a slower-paced day with cozy naps and calm companionship. I’m currently in graduate school studying acupuncture, so I’m home most of the day and able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care. I also love sending photo and video updates so you can see your pup enjoying their stay. I have experience with training and behavior work, including helping raise a previously reactive rescue dog. While I have that background, I’m currently focused on hosting dogs who are comfortable social playmates for Willow, so I’m not taking reactive dogs at this time. Our home also includes chickens (securely enclosed), and I’m happy to accommodate pickups or coordinate logistics to make things easy. If you’re looking for a safe, loving environment where your dog can enjoy outdoor adventures, companionship, and attentive care — I’d love to connect! As a graduate acupuncture student, I spend most of my days at home studying, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and structured care. Our daily routine includes relaxed time at home, walks around our mountain property near Carpinteria, rest breaks, and beach or town outings depending on your dog’s energy level. I’m able to accommodate active dogs who love adventure as well as pups who prefer a slower, cozy pace. Because I’m home frequently, dogs are rarely left alone and get lots of attention, enrichment, and outdoor time throughout the day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. We live on a peaceful mountain property with plenty of outdoor space and a calm home environment. This property is unfenced. My dog Willow is a friendly, playful cattle dog mix who enjoys respectful dog companions. Dogs are supervised during interactions and introductions are done thoughtfully to ensure everyone feels comfortable. I’m experienced with training and behavior awareness, comfortable administering basic care, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs and boundaries. Our chickens are securely enclosed. I provide regular photo/video updates and maintain clear communication so you always feel confident while your pet is in my care.
“Kelsey is my fave, and my dog loves her. When he recognizes that we're getting close to Her house, he gets excited and starts barking that he wants to go! She is super loving to him and is a true herding breed dog lover.”

I love to spend time with my dog whether it’s lounging around or going on hikes/to the beach with him. At clients house, I usually tend to check in with the dogs throughout my day, stay overnight at the house, or even board them at my house. I make sure that they’re fed, let out to go potty, and even give them the love/attention they need.

About: I love all critters, large and small. I have two large dogs which I have both trained. They are incredibly well behaved, but I know how to give them space to be rambunctious and playful. It’s so important for pets to have a safe space to be themselves and show their beautiful, unique personalities. I know how to work with senior and leash-aggressive dogs. Kitties are wonderful with minds of their own. I give them attention when they want it, but distance if not. They are cats after all! I can take care of fish too, as I have a tank of them in addition to my dogs. My schedule is extremely flexible! I walk my dogs in the morning, but I can adjust my walk time as needed. I ensure your pet feels safe and gets to know me. I am caring and loving, and I also know how to give space to your furry one when they need it.
About: Animals are my passion. I cared for my beloved Parson Russell Terrier, Milo, from 2000 to 2015, and he’s the reason I fell in love with caring for all animals. That love led me to volunteer at the Berkeley Humane Society as a cat companion in 2014, and later at the Santa Cruz SPCA as a dog walker from 2024 to 2025. I’ve also transported rescued animals—most memorably a German Shepherd from NYC to his forever home in Florida—and have cared for friends’ and family’s pets for many years. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’m fully committed to providing exceptional, reliable, and compassionate care for yours. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, your pet will be treated like family. I follow your pet’s established routine—feeding, walking, medication, and comfort—and during extended stays, I’m happy to water plants, collect mail, and keep your home tidy. My mission is simple: to care for your pets with genuine love, respect, and dependability. I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week for you and your pet. My background in customer service has taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and attention to detail—qualities I bring to every pet care visit. I provide reliable, compassionate care that keeps your pet comfortable and secure in their own home. I follow their regular routine, prioritize safety, and care for them with the same attention and love I would give my own pets.

“Mellisa is so sweet and was so patient with my wynni! At the last minute I contacted Mellisa for help walking my dog and she worked with wynni until she felt comfortable going out with her. A lot of walkers would have given up!! I would definitely recommend Mellisa especially if you have a dog that’s guarded toward strangers!”

“Ari is a gem. Great personality, grounded, responsible and kind. Dogs have a sixth sense. When my Sofi ran into the house to greet me after her walk to say I’m back she immediately returned to Ari for some rubs. I knew then I was totally comfortable giving my sweet girl’s care to Ari. Three walks done and many more planned. Thank you, Ari, for making Sofi’s life better. She loves her walks.”

“We've left our baby (dog) with Misty a few times and every time she makes us feel more and more comfortable. It sure makes a difference to know that we have someone like Misty and her family to care for our pet while we are away.”

“My Teddy Bear enjoyed his stay at Amber's house! He had a ball running around in her big, fenced in backyard and playing with her two girls! Teddy also enjoyed a nature walk! Amber's home is comfortable and she provided a very nice stay for my pup. She even gave me fresh eggs from her chickens! I highly recommend Amber and would not hesitate to use her again!”

I highly recommend this family if anyone needs a trustworthy and kind dog sitter :) thank you Cooper and Nora for making my second experience with Rover way better than my last!”

“Claudia is not only our favorite but our dogs favorite. Briggs, our dog, loves her and can’t wait to see her when we pull up to her house. She is compassionate and thoughtful. We get regular picture updates and texts about how he is doing. He is also in love with her two pups. We are lucky to have Claudias help, she is kind and responsible. Thank you.”

“Sheena was outstanding! Very communicative and took great care of our dog. Loved all of the photos she sent along the way. We felt very comfortable with her and our dog was happy when we arrived. If we need a sitter again, I will definitely see if she is available.”

“I had zero concerns having Bax stay with Matt and Stefanie. He was safe, having fun, and well-looked after. They treat your pet as if they are one of their own. Will absolutely be using their services again!”

“Mark and Yulia have the sweetest family and they took such incredible care of my Hazel! She is very expressive and her happiness was beaming through the photo updates I was sent regularly. I get anxious to leave my dog but having her in their care was a big relief to me. Thank you so much for everything!!!”

We’d love to care for your doggy like our own! We both work from home with flexible schedules, so your dog will get plenty of attention, supervision, and love throughout the day.

“Jody is so sweet and took such good care of Koda. He got lots of love from her and her family. When we picked him up he seemed like he didn’t even want to go home, he was enjoying it so much. She even washed his doggie bed.♥️ Jody’s location is perfect for us since we need to pass her house on the way to the airport. We will definitely choose Jody again to take care of our Koda.”

“Such a great sitter! I needed a same day boarding for my puppy and she was available, which was so great. She was very quick to respond and communicated well the entire time both before and during the boarding! She sent me tons of photos and updates and gave my puppy a super fun sleepover experience and I’m super grateful! I’ll absolutely be a returning client. She did amazing!”

“Ellen was fantastic, she responded promptly and was flexible with my schedule. She took great care of my cat Nalla while I was away. She even had a whole room set up for cats to play and hangout. I would definitely recommend her for all your pet care needs.thanks again Ellen!”

“Amanda and her family were great! Archie had 2 doodles and 3 kids to play with. Amanda was very responsive when we texted and sent cute pics of Archie enjoying his time with her family. He is pretty attached to us and can be nervous so we really appreciated the updates on how he was adjusting. Next time we go out of town we will definitely book with Amanda again!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Sara! She took the BEST care of our pup Rascal, showering him with endless love, attention, and playing! She sent detailed and thoughtful updates periodically which I really appreciated and enjoyed. Every update came with photos which was not just adorable but gave me so much peace of mind to see that Rascal was not only safe and healthy, but sooo happy. Rascal can’t wait to go back! Thank you Sara!!!”

“Steph was great with my dogs. She was flexible and understanding to my dogs individual needs. She is wonderful and very easy to work with! I look forward to booking with her again soon.”
