Our male dog can be afraid of his own shadow, but I could tell with the daily check ins and photos they sent that they had both settled right in, felt safe and loved and made themselves feel right at home! When I went to pick them up, as excited as my dogs were to see me, they also kept going back to Jen (she was the one home at pick up time) to give more licks and get more pets. Stephanie was wonderful with prompt communication. Jen also has an amazing knack for capturing great candid shots, I seriously have some of the cutest pictures of my pups thanks to her! About: I have lived with many dogs and cats my whole life, in this way I have always been raised to care for animals. I have also trained a chocolate Labrador from puppy to adulthood! Not only have I had pets my whole life and worked for numerous families and friends caring for their pets, but I have professional experience caring for all types of animals. I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. About: I love all critters, large and small. I have two large dogs which I have both trained. They are incredibly well behaved, but I know how to give them space to be rambunctious and playful. It’s so important for pets to have a safe space to be themselves and show their beautiful, unique personalities. I know how to work with senior and leash-aggressive dogs. Kitties are wonderful with minds of their own. I give them attention when they want it, but distance if not. They are cats after all! I can take care of fish too, as I have a tank of them in addition to my dogs. My schedule is extremely flexible! I walk my dogs in the morning, but I can adjust my walk time as needed. For overnights, my husband will take care of our fur babies. I start off with an introduction to you and your pet. Treats are a great way to start off on the right paw! I ensure your pet feels safe and gets to know me. I am caring and loving, and I also know how to give space to your furry one when they need it.

About: I’ve taken care of medium-large dogs for the last 5 years. I’ve trained a puppy and feel very comfortable caring for them and know how important it is to get them out for their walks. I have 4 days off a week (varying days) that I’m very willing to spend time walking and visiting dogs. I enjoy runs myself so if the dogs are up for it we could go or just sit on the couch and relax. I can’t care for pets in my home as I only live in a studio, but I have lived in a house with a fenced in yard where dogs would go out. I have lived in an apartment with a puppy and got very used to going out frequently and running around at the dog parks

About: I have worked as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital that also administers emergency care. Because of this, I am very knowledgeable and experienced in medication administration, animal behavior, animal nutrition, emergency care, CPR, and all around animal care. I have owned many animals such as dogs, cats, chickens, a tortoise, and a bird. I also have been around many other animals as well having grown up in a small town with agriculture and having worked at a farm and a pet boarding facility. I have always loved animals and plan to become a veterinarian or RVT one day, caring for any and every animal I can. I am currently very free to spend time with your pet! I am available beginning around 9AM, possibly earlier if needed and discussed in more detail, until around 6PM, also flexible if discussed further. I am ready and excited to give your pets the best loving care throughout the day! In the client’s home, I can make at least 3 if not more daily check-ins and I will stay for at least 30 minutes during each check-in. Over the weekend, I generally am home unless I am running errands. I pay close attention to the pet’s needs and behavior to try to always make sure they are attended to and taken care of.

About: I am accustomed to living with pets of all sorts of sociability, health, and needs! This is my first year living without a pet, and I really miss it. As an outdoor educator, I'm always looking for an excuse to get outside, and absolutely love being with animals. I'm currently off-season with my guide job, and spend my time hiking, surfing, and volunteering. My availability is completely open, and I'd love to fill it by caring for some cute critters. As a former employee of the Santa Barbara Zoo, I've learned how to interpret an animal's feelings and needs. I am also (human) Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified, and spend much of the year working outdoors guiding children, so your pets will be in experienced hands.

About: I am a former kitten foster and also have precious dog sitting experience. I love animals so I will definitely give them the love and attention to feel secure when you are gone. I recently moved to San Diego and am looking for animal friends! I would never treat an animal differently than a way I would treat a human. They are equals in my eyes and I really just like to love them! Your animals would not be lonely or neglected at all in my care. I do not have any animals of my own currently so they would have plenty of one-on-one time with me. I have experience with puppies and neonatal kittens, as well as older dogs and cats. I won’t let you or your pet down :) I recently quit my job as I am starting Physician Assistant school in September so I have plenty of free time these days. Trying to make some money in the interim and figured this is right up my alley. I have a fenced in yard and one fluffy male resident tuxedo cat that has been with me through most of my fosters. He was a foster fail and the sweetest! He gets along with both cats and dogs. I keep my house clean and only have pet safe plants!
