“Words cannot properly describe how awesome Lori is. My dog is young and has many personality and behavioral challenges. Lori cared for her for 60 hours straight. She is patient. She walked the dog even in the rainy weather. She taught my dog new habits and games. She stayed positive even though my dog wasn’t on her best behavior. My dog was thoroughly loved by Lori and her whole family despite the behavioral challenges. I am so very grateful for Lori. Thank you!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We left our golden retriever with this wonderful family and their golden while we were out of town celebrating our son’s birthday. From the very beginning, their communication was excellent and they made us feel completely at ease. Our dog had the best time — it was her very first time staying with another golden retriever, and the two of them clearly had a blast together! Knowing she was in such loving, attentive hands allowed us to fully enjoy our family trip without worry. The updates and photos we received were such a treat. This family clearly adores dogs and provides genuine, caring, home-away-from-home care. We are already planning to book them again for our next trip. Highly, highly recommend!”

“Tatiana did a fantastic job watching Appa for me. She kept me up to date with how Appa was doing and sent me videos daily. If anything went wrong, she was upfront and straightforward with me. She was also very kind.”

“Gina is the best doggie mama for our little Lulu when we are away! She’s so sweet, has a beautiful backyard for Lulu to sunbathe in & gives her lots of attention & cuddles. I always know Lulu is safe & well taken care of by Gina while we are away.🥰”
“Jenny & her husband were amazing at watching my pup! She was extremely communicative and was playing with him which helped my separation anxiety… lol! 100% going to book with them again :)”

About: A Little About Me 🐾 Ever since I was young, I’ve had a strong connection with animals, especially dogs. They have always been a constant part of my life, helping me develop a deep understanding of their behavior, communication, and social interactions. I am attentive, experienced, and always focused on maintaining a safe and positive environment for every dog in my care. I closely monitor all interactions and am proactive in addressing any unsafe behavior, whether playful or otherwise. My home features a secure property with tall fencing around the entire perimeter 🏡. The space is divided into separate areas to accommodate different playgroups, from small dogs to extra-large breeds, with plenty of shade and room to relax and play. Behavior Assessment 📋 For first-time guests, I typically require a behavior assessment before their stay. However, I understand that emergencies and last-minute situations happen, and I can be flexible when needed. If your dog has not completed an assessment beforehand, I will conduct one at drop-off. Introductions are done gradually and carefully, starting with my dog, Maya 🐕, before meeting the rest of the pack. If your dog is not comfortable in a group setting, they can be accommodated separately with their own indoor room and outdoor space. Before Your Dog’s Stay Please let me know: • Does your dog have any allergies? • Is your dog up to date on all vaccinations? • Is your dog currently taking any medications? Additionally, please share anything else that may help me provide the best care possible, including: • Resource guarding tendencies • Escape or fence-jumping behaviors • Eating non-food items or foreign objects • Previous incidents involving dogs or people • Anxiety, fears, or special handling needs Please also let me know about any special dietary requirements. If your dog eats wet food or requires refrigerated items, I have a full-size refrigerator available for storage. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for every dog in my care. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I am always happy to help! This is my full-time calling 🐾. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. There are occasional moments where I may need to step out for errands or appointments, but my family is always there to help with the dogs' care. Thank you for understanding 🙏. Pick-Up & Drop-Off 🚗 Our pick-up and drop-off times are flexible. We can accommodate as late as 11pm and as early as 5am if needed, including drop-offs the night before if you have an early departure — all at no extra cost 🙌. We also accommodate longer-term stays. The longest we've had a dog with us was around 8 months. No matter the length of the stay, we send regular updates — whether it's a text, photos, or videos — so you're always in the know. We offer a hybrid style of play — both free play and structured play 🐾. Negative behavior is calmly corrected, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all. Dogs sleep inside in a fully air-conditioned space ❄️, provided with beds and blankets, Dogs comfortable with pack life are welcome to free roam in a home-like environment 🏡, while higher energy dogs are separated as needed to ensure proper rest and health for all, fresh water is provided at all times. Safety is a top priority 🔒. Our property is fully enclosed with a 6ft fence & there is always someone present— keeping everyone happy and safe!
“Artem was incredible! Our other Rover sitter fell through at the last minute, and he willingly took in our pup that same day, so we could catch our flight on time! He was very responsive, and it was clear that he kept a safe and structured environment for the dogs. I would highly recommend him and will definitely call on him the next time we need our dog boarded. Thank you again, Artem!”

“Yiyu was extremely accommodating with our last minute booking. She was extremely communicative with sending updates and pictures. We felt PeeWee was in GREAT hands which allowed us to have a worry and stress free time away. We will definitely be booking with Yiyu again! Thank you for taking care of our baby!”

“Nicholas was great with our Ollie! We had a good meet and greet. They have a wonderful yard for sniffing and a system of gates to keep your puppy safe. We felt good about leaving our Ollie with Nicholas and Cora because they were obviously experienced dog owners. He asked good questions to make sure he was prepared for making sure Ollie was as comfortable as possible. Nicholas was very communicative and gave us good updates on Ollie. Will definitely use their services again the next time we need a sitter”

“Kyle was above and beyond! My husband and I were a litter nervous leaving our little guy, but Kyle made sure we felt very comfortable! Our dog was very happy and well taken care of. Would definitely rebook with him in the future.”

“I felt such a relief after meeting Stephanie when I had to go out of town two days after moving here. She kept me updated with photos of my sweet boy and he seemed so happy and comfortable with her. Will definitely be using her services again!”

“Kimberlee was beyond amazing! This was my first experience with a Rover sitter and she really went above and beyond. My foster puppy Bubs is super high energy but Kim took it in stride. He came back so happy and tired, and I think better behaved than when I left. She picked him up and dropped him off because we live very close, which was so so helpful because he has a large crate, and while we we gone she even helped network him a ton to help find an adopter. Bubs had the best time, and I would trust Kim with any animal I ever have in the future! Thank you!”

“Brian was great - He was very communicative, friendly and took great care of our dog Pappy. He sent us great daily updates/pictures. Pappy is an older dog with separation anxiety issues. When we picked Pappy up, she seemed very happy and did not seem stressed at all. We would definitely recommend Brian if you need a sitter :)”

About: Are you the kind of dog parent who crosses the street if other dogs are in sight or purposely walking at off hours to protect your (and your babies) peace? I know the feeling. As a dog parent to one reactive nervous nelly and one perfectly social senior I know what it is like to balance both and how different both of their needs are in order for both to be happy and comfortable. Wether it be administering meds, special walk considerations or just a little extra tlc I’d love to give your pup the same special treatment I give my own. I frequently volunteer with rescue and have experience caring for dogs with medical needs. I currently work from home so am able to spend the majority of time with your pup and get walks in 4+ times per day or as needed. I live in an apartment with my two friendly senior dogs who are both on daily medication themselves. We go on minimum four walks a day emphasizing a slow sniff for all the leisure goodness. With seniors myself I know that energy can vary so I am used to monitoring for fatigue to adjust and taking their lead.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog owner living in the Seaside neighborhood of Torrance. I currently have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Mini Australian Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. My dogs are part of my family, and we stay active every day. We enjoy daily walks, hiking, trips to the dog beach, and playdates. I know how important it is for dogs to get both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I grew up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, chickens, rabbits, and cats, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I work from home during the week, and now that my kids are away at college, I have more time to dedicate to caring for pets. Whether your dog needs a neighborhood walk, extra exercise, or a longer adventure on a local hiking trail, I’d love to help keep them happy, healthy, and active. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand that trust, safety, and communication are the most important parts of caring for someone else’s beloved companion. SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY Your dog’s safety, my safety, and the safety of my pets are always my top priorities. I welcome friendly dogs of all sizes—from tiny pups to large breeds—as long as they are comfortable being handled by someone new. Because every dog is different, I require a meet-and-greet before accepting new clients. For dog walking, I’d like to meet your dog first to ensure we’re both comfortable together and that your dog walks calmly on a leash around people and other dogs. If I’m caring for your dog in my home, a meet-and-greet with my dogs is also required to make sure everyone gets along and feels comfortable. While I have many years of experience caring for dogs, I am not a professional dog trainer or behaviorist. For everyone’s safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly with people and can be safely managed on walks and in new environments. If your dog has a history of aggression toward people or other dogs, I may not be the right sitter for your pet. I love puppies and will take in un-spayed or un neutered young puppies (less than 9 months old), at my discretion. I work remote from home and have the flexibility to visit or walk your dog. I have my own three dogs that hang out with me when I work at my desk. I have some flexibility to take a dog to join us to hang out for the day or night. I walk the dogs every afternoon. I have a fenced yard, three friendly dogs to keep your’s company and an XL crate if needed. If I am dog sitting, I would not leave your dog home alone and unattended. There is shaded patio, artificial turf for running and not getting dirty, I have a magnetic screen so my dogs are free to walk in and out of the house at leisure.

“Carissa was amazing! She had a drop in visit to meet our kitty before we left and kept us in the loop every single day! My kitty who is a little shy took to her so well and she had snuggles and rollover pictures! I’m so glad she was loved by Carissa during our weekend trip. I am definitely reaching out to Carissa again if we need to leave her again!”

“Ginny was so kind and sweet with my cat! My cat gets lonely when I’m away so I mainly needed someone to come play with her for a while everyday. When I got back, my cat was noticeably less lonely and Ginny was great about sending photos and letting me know how my cat was doing everyday! Highly recommend!!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! Carolyn is kind and reliable, Juan and Lupita absolutely love her, and she always goes above and beyond, taking care of the little extras without ever being asked. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. We came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and couldn’t be more grateful. We’ll definitely book her again and highly recommend her!”

“Lisa is incredible. She was SO professional, kind, sweet and went out of her way to make sure our cats were comfortable and loved while we were gone. She sent lots of detailed information and feedback so we could enjoy our vacation knowing our cats were safe and having a good time too. We will not think twice to re book Lisa. I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who wants to rest assured their pet will be in good hands while they are gone. Thank you Lisa! ??”

About: I begged my parents for a cat when I was 5 and have been a cat person ever since. I’m a a go-to contact for many friends and have cared for 5+ cats (my family’s and my own) from kittenhood to adulthood. As a result, I’ve accumulated quite a wide range of experience, including but not limited to: sneaky medication administration, efficient nail clippings sessions, and the best laser-wielding techniques.

About: Although I am a newer cat owner, caring for our cat has quickly become a rewarding experience. She was adopted by my sister at six years old after being abandoned on a farm, and she's now a happy, loved member of our family. When she first cam home, she was understandably nervous - especially around our two dogs. We took things slowly, giving her the time and space she needed while introducing them patiently and gently. Watching her grow from a timid, uncertain cat into one who confidently shares the house with our dogs has taught me the important of patience, understanding, and respecting eat cat's unique personality. I know every cat has different needs and comfort levels, and I am committed to providing calm, attentive care that helps them feel safe and secure while you are away.

About: I've had a lot of experience caring for cats of all ages along with cats with specific dietary and health needs. In addition to being able to administer medicine and monitor any health concerns, I am able to do simpler things such as regularly clean their litter box, feed them, change water, etc.
About: I previously volunteered for a greyhound adoption agency in Australia where I gained hands-on experience caring for retired greyhounds, including those with anxiety. Before moving to the U.S I also had my own greyhound and successfully transitioned her to apartment living, so I understand the unique needs of the breed. I currently work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m often available on short notice and can adjust my availability to suit your needs. I’m tall and confident handling larger dogs, and I approach every animal with patience, gentleness, and care. Your pets will be treated well and will always be in safe, loving hands. I currently work and study remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m often available on short notice and can adjust my availability to suit your needs. I am Tall so I can handle bigger dogs. “Dorle was SO wonderful with my dog Arthur. So easy to work with, very trustworthy, and gave me lots of updates throughout the day. Her house is dog HEAVEN. Wish I could stay with Dorle and Arthur could go to work. Thank you so much!”

“Jessica is an absolute angel. I was in a bit of a pickle and I went on Rover and asked if she could please pick up my dog and watch him for a few hours. He was so happy he had a good time she came promptly and was so kind and helpful and I cannot thank her enough. We will forever use Jessica.”

“We were so lucky to find Samantha on Rover. Our 90lb puppy had minor stitches so during the day we needed someone to watch him to make sure he didn’t mess with his injury. We got way more than that - Duke was walked, watched and spoiled. He came home tired 🙏 and happy. Highly recommend”

About: Hi, I am Arousha, a meditation teacher and animal lover. My work and projects require a lot of at home hours so I am not out much so I love boarding animals or hosting doggy or kitty day care! I have all 5 star reviews on THS a platform for petcare while owners are away. My home and pet owners all rave about me, I've put some of the reviews in my photos. I grew up with pets my whole life and am a volunteer with the animal shelters. I volunteered at the SPCA and San Diego Humane Society. I really enjoy helping people with their pets, which is why my rates are pretty low! I am actively fostering pets as well, so if your furry friend wants play time I am also able to host that! I am a true animal lover the happiest I am is around pets. I work from home and don’t have kids so I’m available to give pets all the love and attention needed. I truly enjoy morning and evening walks which I take daily anyway. If boarding at my home, I live across the street from the beach and within 5 minutes of a dog park. There are many beach paths and dog walking areas as well as areas to avoid dogs if your baby is reactive to other dogs. My priority is the safety and comfort of all the pets I look after. I do everything I can to make sure your pet is happy and safe. I have extra crates if you need crate training and plenty of toys and treats!
“Five stars—no hesitation. Christy adores dogs, especially golden retrievers. We left our golden pup, Honey, with her for one day while we hit Disneyland. When we returned Honey had several new BFFs: Christy and her canine savvy family, with couch-snuggle photos as proof; and Phoebe (Christy’s own golden retriever). Christy’s day plan nailed all Honey's need—timed meals and potty breaks along with the perfect play–nap balance. Christy sent updates and snapshots, so we stayed relaxed and guilt free at the park. I had zero pet-parent stress. When I picked up Honey she trotted out tail-wagging, paws dragging, slightly heavier (treats happen!) and blissfully wiped out. We all slept like babies after our day at Disneyland, including the dog. Safe arms, golden fluency, endless love—Christy is our go-to sitter. Book Christy—your retriever will thank you!”

“First time with Kyle; I have a very anxious Chihuahua mix & Kyle was very patient with her and gave her her own space until she became comfortable. I can tell he has plenty of experience dealing with this type of situation. Communication was easy and efficient with Kyle the entire time that I was at my function. I did check it quite often. Kyle was very responsive which I really appreciated because I was a little bit nervous seeing that my poor baby is very anxious.. We will see you again! Thank you.”

Pet care is an important part of my routine with my 12 year old Maltipoo. We go on night walks, quick morning strolls & if I’m ever off for the day, we love to go on fun, adventurous car rides. My dog, Pogo, always stays with one of my parents if I’m at work or away. Due to all of our schedules, he is never alone, so he is taken to the bathroom regularly. I like to keep him active & engage with him, allowing him to have the fullest enjoyment. That said, I carry the same actions when pet sitting. They receive full attention from me, because I know how crucial it is for pets to feel loved, especially when their pet parent is away.
“Amelia has been great and very patient with our little Daisy. She is a great communicator and makes us feel super comfortable when she spends time with Daisy. So glad to have someone reliable and so kind to help us!”

“Courtney has been great with walking our 2 year old dog Boba! She is on time, great at communication, and very friendly and patient with our pup. She took the time to get to know all the little quirks of our puppy and every morning Boba is excited to see her. Highly recommend Courtney :)”

About: I’m a life-long animal lover and Pomeranian pet sitting was my first job as a kid. Since then I’ve earned 5 stars on Trusted Housesitters and expanded into horse and farm care as well. I’ve studied +R (positive reinforcement) training and can help you stay consistent with your dog’s training and positive socialization. I currently work part time locally, but my days and hours change week to week (other than having Mondays off), so I really appreciate advance booking! I love getting to know each dog’s personality and their likes and dislikes, habits & routines. When I walk with a dog, I always tune into what they’re in the mood for and I know that it’s important to allow dogs to get lots of sniffing in as well as getting exercise and “taking care of business.”
About: I have over 30 years experience with small breed dogs. I so miss having my own dog for the time being, that I decided to babysit not because I need the money but because of my love for dogs. It's been a wonderful rewarding experience! Since I only take ONE dog per stay, they get all my attention, lot's of play time and love. I will consider 2 dogs if from the same family/client. I have a lovely home near the beach with a fenced in yard. Think of it as a "spa getaway" for your fur baby. I prefer them to be potty trained, but no worries I will work with them. We can have play time in the yard and I would be home with them during their stay. I can take them on walks around my neighborhood if you like. I live in a safe community near the beach. I adore animals and will take great care of your baby while you are gone! I can't wait to meet your special family member and see if we are a fit! I work remote from home Mon - Fri and have alot of flexibility. Plus I have most weekends available. I am fully 100% focused on the dogs I watch. I have toys, a dog bed," my bed" and lots of green grass to run around and play. I have a large backyard that is fully fenced in, lots of room to play and explore. For sleeping, I can crate your dog if you prefer, but I usually have them sleep with me and they have a wonderful front view window to look outside at the neighborhood while on my bed. I currently work remote and have a very easy schedule. Dogs love to sit with me, play in the yard, look out the window and go for walks if you request. Safety is my #1 priority. I have a fenced yard, completly secure with plenty of grass to run around and play! It's a beautiful, tropical, relaxing environment and dogs love my yard. I never leave them unattended at any time.
“Connor has a wonderfully calm presence which has been so helpful as he has walked our two dogs, one of whom is large, extremely high strung and skittish. He is communicative, reliable, and attentive to details. We will definitely continue to use him.”

About: I am 31 years old and have been a dog / cat lover & owner my whole life! I have grown up with dogs and cats, and I love each and every one of them. I currently have two mini Australian Shepard’s and one rescue cat who bring me so much joy, even though they are high energy handfuls! I live in West Adams in close proximity to various parks. I am more than willing to go on runs, walks, or whatever your pet needs in order to get the exercise and play time they need! I am available at various times throughout the day (I work remotely most of the time) and anytime after 6 pm Monday - Friday, and usually any time on weekends as well. I care deeply about animals and am committed to making their time away from their loved ones as comfortable and fun as possible. I look forward to meeting you and spending time with your furry friends! I currently work remotely and have a very light and flexible remote work schedule. I typically have 1 or 2 short meetings a day between 9-6, and the rest of my time can be spent caring for pets. I care for pets based on their specific needs. This is why it is important to get adequate info prior to staying with or walking your pet. This includes medication and feeding schedules, exercise and training needs, and how affectionate or playful they are. I am perfectly comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and energy levels.

About: I have cared for animals my entire life, but dogs have touched me the most. The dog that I grew up with made my life great as a child. After raising her, horses and a cat, pet sitting brought me so much joy. I have so much respect for animals, and dogs deserve so much. Caring for dogs is my passion and I love to offer what I have learned, to them and their owners. Dogs give so much to their owners. Play is very important for how the dog feels health wise and the relationships they have with people in general. With my animal experience, I have learned to pay attention to an animal's body language, and I never met a dog that I didn't gain friendship from.
“Linda is the first rover sitter I have ever received services from. My dog is an escape artist so I felt extra apprehensive about entrusting my dog to a stranger but I can assure you that Linda is very reliable and took care of my dog as if she was her own! My dog can be stubborn and takes FOREVER to potty, but Linda was so patient with my dog and made sure she did her business before she took her back inside. She also took many pictures and videos of her, which was a huge plus ☺️ I would definitely entrust my dog to Linda again, especially bc my dog loves her now ❤️”

“Gina is the best doggie mama for our little Lulu when we are away! She’s so sweet, has a beautiful backyard for Lulu to sunbathe in & gives her lots of attention & cuddles. I always know Lulu is safe & well taken care of by Gina while we are away.🥰”

“Qing was amazing with my dog Daisy. From the photos and videos updates Qing sent me, I could tell that Daisy was so happy with her. Qing took great care of Daisy, she is definitely my go-to pet sitter from now on.”

“If I could leave a 100 star rating for Delaney I would! I had my dog at a boarding place while I was out of the country but an unexpected situation happened. I needed someone to pick Bash up and take him to the vet as soon as possible, I contacted over 20 rover people and Delaney was the angel to accept the request. She not only took him to the vet but she also kept him with her for the rest of the time I was out. Her communication and flexibility were on point. There was not a picture she sent of Bash where he didn’t look happy, comfortable, and safe. Next time I need someone to look after my baby, forget the boarding place, Delaney will be the one! Again, thank you so much!! Much love from Bash and I?”

“Lulu loved her 2+ week stay with Ziya. It showed through the photos where she was hanging with her new dog friends and even cuddling on the couch with humans. Lulu isn’t much of a cuddler yet she has been since she got home! Lulu found a new home when we’re out of town and definitely will be back with Ziya in the future!”

“Bethany and her family are fantastic! She has a great house environment with a yard and treated my dog like family. She sent daily updates and lots of pictures. She went above and beyond and kept onto my dog for several extra hours when I had a delayed flight. I would highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

“Perla was really sweet, great and super nice. She goes above and beyond to make sure our Jazz was comfortable and cared for. With that alone that is priceless! I knew her energy was perfect. Thank you so much for everything and we will definitely be using her again!”

“They took wonderful care of my guy! They sent updates with pictures and I knew he was in good hands! Thanks so much for helping me breathe easy knowing my dog was in good hands while I was away!”

“This was a repeat stay for my Dillon with Elaine and again, she took such good care of my big guy! pictures and videos were great! I will definitely choose Elaine again for boarding!”

“Ashley was amazing. My dog, Nipsey, had a great time at her house. After the initial meet and greet, my worries all left as I could tell she would be the perfect person for the job. She was super attentive and followed all directions. She provided medications as needed but most importantly she gave him tons of love. I highly recommend Ashley if you're looking for a trustworthy person with a great heart and love for animals.”
