“I have been meaning to find another Rover dogsitter for my GSD but many Rover sitters do not take in large breed dogs. I found Casey online, she confirmed she will take a GSD so we arranged a meet and greet first so I could see how my dog was reacting to the environment and other dogs. That went fine, so I booked a 4 night stay recently. I was so pleased with how Casey took care of Pipa, she sent me a photo, gave me updates on how Pipa was doing and everything went really well. Casey let Pipa sleep at the foot of her bed and I think that made my dog feel really secure and she played well with the other dogs. Great stay and I was very pleased all around.”

“Shellie took in our Obi and treated him as if he were her own. She and her husband were very warm and friendly. I left our geriatric dog in her care feeling very at ease with him in her care. She’s got two small dogs who were very friendly and our dog wasn’t nervous around them at all. She did a great job of keeping us aware of how he was doing. As long as Shellie is available and willing, I don’t think we’ll ever leave our dog with anyone else. I highly recommend her. She always replied promptly, sent lots of updates and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We have two senior dogs, one who takes daily medication, and both have some anxiety when we’re not home. Jessa was so patient and caring with them, and it was obvious they felt comfortable in her care. She handled everything perfectly. The biggest surprise was our cat! She almost never comes out for anyone, but she came out to see Jessa every single visit. My whole family couldn’t believe it when we saw the photos and videos. But our 5 kitties (2 outdoor, 2 indoor, and 1 in & out) were extremely well taken care of, and they went above and beyond when it came to taking care of our persnickety teenager. She did not want to come in at night cuz she was unsure of these new folks. But Amanda took the time and effort to bond with her while we were gone. It took several days of sitting with her in the backyard, hand feeding her with gradual petting sessions, but she was finally able to get Midge inside using soft spoken words and a kind touch. I recently graduated from Fresno SJVC's Veterinary Assistant program with a 3.42 GPA. I performed my externship hours at Animal Hospital and Dental Clinic in Fresno, CA. About: I am 48 years old and have had dogs, cats and horses my entire life. I have been an elementary teacher in Fresno for twenty years. I have rescued three dogs from my school in the years that I have been there. I am familiar with local vets, dog parks, pet stores, and walking trails. What sets me apart is that I am a big softy. Animals can tell this and always gravitate towards me. I believe dogs and cats should be allowed on the couch, in the bed and anywhere that is safe for them to be.
