“Sharon and Albert are a great Team. They are the real deal! Our 10 year old A.J. experiences anxiety when he is dropped off to Sitters. This is recent since his older Brother Gus died at age 15. Sharon and Albert are patient and very caring about everyone's Family Pet! I would recommend this Couple to love your Pet until you returned! Until next three day trip...”
“Kota gets totally spoiled with love, attention, and FUN when he stays by Michelle. I know he loves going there when he can’t stop wiggling with excitement when we arrive. He is so excited to be there! Love the pics and videos we get while we are gone. Kota is a part of our family and we love seeing a sneak peek of the fun he is having. Definitely zero guilt of “leaving Kota home” when we travel when we have him stay with Michelle.”

“Two weeks with Elisabeth and my little wild child came back a well behaved dog! How does she do it? Great communication, great experience and will DEFINITELY book again!”

“I will 100% leave my dogs with Sara on our future trips! She sent me pictures everyday which made me feel relaxed knowing my fur babies were in good hands! She has lots of space for the dogs to run and play so they are never bored! My dogs didn’t want to leave!! Thank you Sara!!”
“Jenn and her family provided great care for my GSP. He returned smiling and ecstatic! Jenn is very experienced with dogs and has her space is well thought out to accommodate different dogs.”

“Melissa and her family and pets were wonderful and took excellent care of my dog when I had to go out of town. She is easy to communicate with and sends regular updates which is appreciated. I can highly recommend her.”

“My dog stayed with Shannon for a week, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Shannon was friendly, responsive, and provided daily photo and video updates, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Shannon was also very accommodating with the pick-up time which I really appreciated. I think my dog enjoyed his little own "vacation" too!”

“Amy & Justin gave our German Shepard an incredible experience. He was well taken care of, loved, and enjoyed his time with them and their dog River. Would book again in a heartbeat!”

“The best review is the way my little guy went running to Michelle with his tail wagging when I dropped him off. He obviously enjoyed his stay with his doggie friends everything to explore in the big back yard.”
“Sara was amazing! Not only was she so sweet with our doggo but she lives on an amazing property which is a dogs paradise. Her dog Shadow was such a great playmate , and we received tons of photos while we were out of town. We will definitely book with Sara again!”

“This is the first time we left our dog Ginger in the care of Ruchi and her family, and we are happy that we did. At the Meet & Greet, we were impressed with how clean their home was and how orderly they attended to their dog guests and their own dogs. When we dropped off Ginger to stay, she immediately made herself at home. Ruchi gave us updates and sent photos and videos several times a day for the entire stay. We appreciated this as it gave us peace of mind that Ginger was in good hands. We look forward to bringing Ginger back to Ruchi's home the next time we need a sitter.”

“This was our first time boarding our puppy with Patti. I can’t say enough great things about her! She’s truly cares about your dog and keeps you updated with pictures. We can’t wait to use her again! Highly recommend!”

“Our first ever time using rover and it was a success thanks to Irina! Stitch had an absolute blast playing with the other dogs and I appreciated Irina sending photos to put us at ease.”

About: I have always had a pet dog throughout my life, so being around dogs feels natural to me. Taking care of them has been part of my daily routine, from feeding and walking them to making sure they are happy and healthy. Over time, I’ve learned how to understand their behavior and needs, which has helped me build a strong connection with them. Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy spending time with them and caring for them. I work from home and love the challenge of some dogs. I wake up at 5 and feed my own dog and do some work. After I usually take him out for walks through the day. I walk him about 2 miles and can also walk your own dog, just tell me and I can do it. I can also follow any strict dietary restrictions if your dogs requires it for food. After around 3 I am free and spend time with my dogs all day after and chill with him beside me. But, if your dogs requires sheds a lot, I can’t promise he will be sleeping with me or be laying on the couch, I have a specialized ginormous dog bed for he/she. I live in El Dorado Hills, so it is very hilly in some areas, including my home. I have a big dog kennel outside that is surrounded by a fence, while I have a large dog cage inside my house that can also be used. I also have a area for the dogs to run and play in my backyard.
“I cannot say enough good things about Meghan and Peter! To say I was nervous about leaving my dog for a week is an understatement. 🫣 After talking with Meghan for 5 minutes, I was completely comfortable and knew this was the right place for Clover. She is so kind, loving, and gentle. Her communication was detailed and I received pictures, updates, and reassurances. ❤️ Clover was SO happy to have 3 doggie friends to run and sniff with! (She honestly seems a little bored now at home! 😆) Peter was very generous in accommodating our pick up time, which really was above and beyond. Needless to say, I would not hesitate to book with them again. Thank you! ☺️”

Cat caregivers near you - Somerset
Prices are estimates per visit for 1 cat. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.

About: I've always had a cat since I was 5 years old. While they don't usually require everything a dog does, I understand that every cat is different and each has its own personality. If your cat needs special attention, or is a cuddle and wants someone to pet or brush them 3× a day, I will happily do it. I also know some cats are the kind you just feed and don't want you to touch them, and I can respect their boundaries too.
“Kylee did a great job watching our 3 cats while we were away. She sent us pictures and kept us posted daily, which for me is a big deal. We feel relieved to have found someone like Kylee to care for our animals and will definitely hire her again.”

“Brittni was great with my senior kitty, Toby. He let her pet him at the meet and greet, and looked up from his nap under the blankets when she dropped by to take care of him. Toby usually runs and hides when people drop by but he decided that Brittni is his friend.”

“We really appreciated Katelyn’s stay in our home to care for our two new kittens for the weekend. She sent us updates and the kittens were safe and sound when we returned. She even fed our fish. We would love to book her help again!”

About: I had been taking care of my family's assortment of animals and plants for quite some time before assisting neighbors, friends, and extended family with theirs. My experience includes but is not limited to feeding, bathing, cleaning living spaces, application of medicines, herding, and playing with animals! I truly enjoy spending time with animals, whether that be dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and even some livestock. Its fun getting to know them and their unique personalities while caring for their everyday needs. My weekly schedule jumps around with odd hours at my part-time job and taking care of my own animals, but I can bend my schedule easily to accommodate secondary jobs that come my way! Be it at 5am, 10pm, or any time in between As I usually work out of my client's home, I will observe and utilize all resources provided, including doors and gates that seal animals off from specific areas, watching for potential eating hazards, and ideally being introduced to the pets prior to sitting so that they are familiar with me. Every animal is different and I will accommodate them however is needed.

“Morgan really is a kitty whisperer☺️our lil’ guy just fell in love with her which made us feel so at ease. Thank you again Morgan I will definitely use you again and again!! 10 out of 10!! Thank you Suzy M😊”

“Amanda was great with our super shy kitty. He even came out of hiding! A first for any sitter we’ve had. I highly recommend Amanda. She’s kind, caring and attended to every detail. Thank you so much! Tracy & Taylor”

“Teri was fantastic! She went above and beyond trying to coax our timid cat out from under the bed. Everything was well taken care of and very timely. She was on top of everything and responded to communications very promptly. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

About: Certified Veterinary Assistant (Kaplan College). I worked as a canine groomer for 5 years, providing experience with all breeds of pups. I have a set schedule Monday through Friday, which allows me to provide a predictable time frame of my availability throughout the week. I commute from the the Swansboro area, to downtown Placerville which makes it easy to swing by most areas of Placerville for weekday visits. My weekends are completely open for mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I understand pets get lonely the second their people leave, and I understand what it's like to worry about your babies while you're away! I'm willing to visit, walk, feed, simply hang out, and of course provide photo updates so you can try to enjoy your time away.

“I can't thank Kat enough!! I had a unique situation, my cat that has diabetes and needs a shot every 12 hours. I have my mom to watch my animals but my little diabetic cat is a pill when I'm not the one giving her her shot, and it was getting more difficult for my mom to do it by herself. Kat literally saved the day!! I felt so much better that my mom had help to make sure she gets her shots! I will be booking her again for sure! Thank you again Kat for everything.”

About: With 9 years of experience raising an elderly cat until her final peaceful days at age 17, I am eager to apply what I have learned and appreciate about cat companionship to loving cat parents in need of a helping hand. I am open to cat care of all ages, but do feel a special connection towards senior cats. Whether they prefer their own sunny, cozy spot or prefer to loudly profess their needs and desires to me, I am all in for meeting your cat's needs wherever they are. ❈ Boarding, House Sitting, or single day needs I’m available for the full range of cat-sitting services but particularly enjoy boarding. I primarily work remotely from my quiet, spacious 4-bedroom apartment, and go in-office once or twice a week for about 8 hours a day. I have a large enclosed garden and walking area if your cat enjoys outside time. My intention is to host a comfortable, attuned environment for your pet(s) alone (no pets of my own nor multiple-family sitting) lead by respect and deep listening to your cat's needs. ❈ A Helping Hand When my cat was diagnosed with dementia, I felt lost and confused. I was scared to hire a cat-sitter because of her urgent and particular needs. Years later, I have gathered an abundance of care practices surrounding cat dementia / cognitive decline, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, and old age in general. The process of listening and learning alongside my cat was enlightening, and I realized I found my calling. Caring for and helping others care for cats is my favorite thing in the world. Whether your cat needs a day of play or a stable, long-term presence, I am committed to the well-being and joy of our cat companions. ❈ Specializations: • Reading cat body language • Cat training and conditioning • Harness and leashed walk training • Administering oral medications • Managing cat cognitive decline, hyperthyroidism, and kidney disease • Crisis management (cleaning vomit, managing panic, etc. First aid training in progress) • Safe and professional vet visits where needed [Rates are flexible, particularly if we make arrangements outside of this platform]
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, and no matter where I go, I always find myself surrounded by furry friends. I love staying active, and walking with a pup by my side is my favorite way to explore. I bring that same care and enthusiasm to every pet I look after. My schedule is very flexible, so pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. Since I’m self-employed, I can adjust my day to match your pet’s needs—whether that’s regular walks, feeding times, or just making sure they have plenty of attention and companionship. In my client’s home, I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I treat every home with respect—keeping things clean, secure, and just as I found them. While making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, care, and companionship
About: Lifelong pet owner/lover. I've had dogs and cats since before I can remember and have experience in house sitting and pet care. I also have basic training skills with dogs. I love taking care of animals with my whole heart and can bond/adapt to animals needs very well. I currently work a part time job where my hours are usually 6-8 hours a couple days a week so I have plenty of time to spend with your fur babies! I currently cannot board animals in my own home, but I can easily adapt to how you take care of your fur babies in your own home. I treat them as my own and want them to be as comfortable and happy as possible while their family away.

About: I have been a full-time puppy whelper for the past 8 years and come highly recommended with lots of references. I welcome all different breeds. I am always home. While I do have to pick up and drop off my children for their various sports and activities, it’s just a five minute drive away.I am always available. Plus, I’m attending school online from the comfort of my home. I live on 1 1/2 acres with a mini horse, two small goats that like to visit the neighbors and two potbelly pigs. Additionally I have two older French bulldogs who are house trained and very friendly, as well as two cane corsos who get along well with all animals including pony, goats, and pigs- they’re all pals! All of my animals are well-behaved , and I’ve often been told I should’ve been a vet or a dog trainer because of my love for animals. I have two separate backyards-one for the smaller dogs and one for the bigger ones. However I’m accustomed to rotating them due to my experience as a whelper. I know how to manage introducing new dogs and keeping them separate if needed. My dogs have access to indoors and outdoors, and they sleep in the house at night. I’ve set up set up my garage to be cozy and welcoming for dogs to stay in at night.
“Michelle and Dave are amazing! I knew I had found the perfect sitters within minutes. Truly dog lovers. My three year old Pom Chi has never had day care, she loves them! I highly recommend them!”

About: I've always had personal pets and have been the designated petsitter for my neighborhood since i was a child. I've spent the last decade professionally training & boarding all types of dogs, cat, and falconry birds. I'm currently open and available all days of the week. My life is my dogs/family and there is always room for more furry (& feathery, scaley, ect) friends. 💜 I have a fenced garden area and 4 dogs at home who are crate trained. I can accommodate most requests and love a schedule & routine, whether in my home or in yours.
“Sara was wonderful! Kind and warm-hearted. She eased my anxiety about leaving our new pup and took great care of Domingo. He loved playing with Shadow and his cuddle time with Sara. 100% recommend booking with Sara for anyone who wants their pup to have a lovely safe time!!!”

“Michelle was great with my dog Oakley! I was so thankful she was able to take him on short notice and accommodate whatever we needed... Her house is on a large property that's fully enclosed and in a beautiful gated community in the hills. Whether you have a big dog that loves to run around and interact with other friendly animals or a small dog that prefers to spend time inside close to people, Michelle's house is an awesome place for pets! My dog has major separation anxiety, but instead of stressing out like he normally does when he knows I'm leaving him, Oakley immediately settled in and started exploring the property with one of her dogs right after we got there! I could tell from Michelle's updates and photos that Oakley was really enjoying his time there and felt comfortable he would be well taken care of if he needed to stay even longer in the future. The location of her house turned out to be really convenient and close to where I was going, but even if I'm further away the next time I'm in town and need a sitter, I know that Michelle will be our first choice for sure!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. All of my experiences with my own animals, have made me a knowledgeable, responsible and compassionate animal care provider. I am currently semi-retired from working in the hospitality industry. I have plenty of time and I would thoroughly enjoy taking care of your beloved pets. I have an adorable mini schnauzer, Dudley, and a domestic short hair cat, Pete. I love them both so much and get so much enjoyment out of having and caring for them. We love cuddling, talking, and playing. I make sure they have the food, treats, exercise and attention they desire, and are well taken care of and will treat yours with the same love and respect that I show to my own pets.

“First and best experience with doggy day care! Sara is amazing - so amazing Sugar acted as if I was a stranger. Sugar had so much fun she was tired and napping away when I picked her up. She was definitely showing me some attitude when leaving Sara’s; I’m sure Sugar wanted me to continue working for another 8+ hours. Sugar and I both highly recommend!”

“We had to find a sitter for one day for Issa, our German Shepard. We were able to drop her off early and pick her up the same day. Elisabeth made the arrangements very accommodating. Our puppy played in the water and seemed to have had great day. We would love to have her watch Issa again.”

About: I have always had dogs/animals. We have 5 dogs of our own. We also foster with a local rescue. We specialize in the squish face breeds. We completely understand climate control. We love to exercise outside and go out often to romp. I am currently working remote part of the time (office days are Tues/Thurs). We typically always have someone home and the dogs are likely never alone for more than a 2-3 hour period. Our dogs are very friendly and love to play! We do not have a fenced yard, so our preference would be dogs that are not a flight risk! We can use a flexi leash for potty breaks but that would limit outside play for our guests. We live on 2.5 acres with a lot of grass to romp and play. Our dogs do not go outside unless supervised.

“Elaine did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of my two dogs! Her communication was excellent throughout, keeping me updated with adorable pictures that showed just how much fun they were having. “Alexa was wonderful with our shy pup Ollie. She sent regular updates and photos throughout the day, which gave us such peace of mind. Ollie takes time to warm up to new people, and Alexa was incredibly patient and she let him come around on his own terms. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our little guy. Highly recommend Alexa!”

About: After having a senior dog who couldn't be by himself for even 10 minutes, I understand how hard it can be when you can't make any plans, or take a vacation, because you are worried about your dog. I just want to help people who are in the same situation I was.. I am available nights, and weekends and holidays. Basically, all those times it is most difficult to find anyone to petsit-I can be there. For one afternoon or two weeks, whatever you need.. I am just trying to help pet parents out. I have always been the person who family, friends and neighbors call when they need someone to watch their pets. I just started doing this professionally, but already have glowing recommendations from everyone I have worked for. I understand how important it is for your pet to be comfortable and have found the best way to do this, is to come prior to the petsitting job to do a meet and greet with your pet so they know me, when I show up to watch them. I provide updates throughout the time I am there with videos sent so you can see for yourself how your dog is doing in my care. I love taking dogs on walks and playing fetch,

About: I have had animals since I was a young girl and was always responsible for caring for them in any way the family needed. I helped watch friends animals as well. I currently have animals of my own that I adore as much as my adult children :). They bring love and light into our home. I am a part time dental hygienist as well as an undergraduate student studying Criminal Justice/ Forensics with plenty of flexibility. I am home full time doing school so my availability is open. I only pick up dental hygiene shifts as needed as I have been in the dental field 32 years. We have a a nice chunk of land with a fence and one dog to play with your furbaby her name is Shadow and she is so sweet and old, but still has energy for fun. We have a pond to wade in as well which is Shadows favorite thing to do. We are always keeping an eye on all of our animals and make sure they are safe and always have what they need. We also have 4 indoor kitties but they usually hide when company is around.
“Elizabeth is so sweet and good with my dogs , i hired her because i was going on a trip tovisit family and on the way to airport i was in a car accident! Shes been very flexible thankfully because i will. Need her some more!!”

About: I've been a pet/house sitter for about 10 years, I started when I was a teenager helping my family friends and neighbors to now as an adult. I've grown up my whole life surrounded by animals and I couldn't imagine it any other way. Love connecting with the pets and fellow animal lovers! I do my sitting job full time so I'm available for more attentive care and easy contacting. I do house sit as well if you'd like me to stay with your pet overnight for a peace of mind and comfort of the animals. I don't like to overlap my jobs so that I can give each person and their pets my full attention and presence. I'm always very aware of animals boundaries and environment, wheather that is separate feeding or toy aggression. Taking any necessary walks or have play time to keep their energy and spirits up. Also, I always try to keep everything as you left it. I always clean up after myself and the animals if needed, I'm consistent with any schedule given, and I also give frequent updates including pictures of your pets so you know they're doing good!
“Danielle has been the best person I've ever had for Bodhi. She takes the best care of him and talks to him so kindly. I will always hire Danielle when I need someone to take care of my Bodhi💕”

Thank you! ☺️”

“Alicia was great, she kept us up to date the whole time. Maxine seem to do very well there. Hopefully Maxine will have the pleasure of staying again in the future. Thanks!!”

“Amber did a great job! She stepped up and accepted Osa at the last moment. Osa was happy, and Amber ensured it was not too hot to take her out until it cooled off during a 100-degree day.”

“Absolutely wonderful person and family for our pup to stay with! Amanda was great at caring for our senior pup and we appreciate knowing she was in safe hands during our trip.”
