I have experience with obedience training, grooming, as well as administering medications and meeting special dietary needs. Personally, I have a wonderful, smart and energetic Border Collie/Aussie mix who loves making new friends. We both enjoy playing fetch and tug, learning new tricks and practicing our commands to earn treats. Please let me know how I can help to keep your non-human family member safe, loved, and entertained! I am self-employed and generally have a very flexible schedule. I do often spend stretches of time out of town (mainly LA and Bay Area), so I appreciate scheduling gigs a bit in advance so I can plan accordingly. No one knows your pet better than you, so I will always defer to your lead as to what your pet needs and prefers. That being said, depending on what level of care you desire for your pet, I am happy and comfortable to take dogs for walks or to dog parks, play fetch or hide and seek, practice commands, and give all the belly rubs that they can stand. If you prefer they sleep in a crate, we can definitely manage that; or if they are like my pup and want to use me as a body pillow at night, I would be more that happy to oblige! Just let me know what you are comfortable with! If needed, I am also open to hosting pets at my home (with fenced in yard).

I have 2 portions to my property . One side is fenced on a hillside with a small astro-turfed area for potty breaks. The other side is open with a small water fall and full Astro turf. This gives dogs lots of time outside. I will also keep your dog in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time cooking and teaching my daughter kindergarten + computer work at the kitchen table. Your dog will be loved and well taken care of not only by me but my whole family. I have 2 goldendoodles that I got as puppies and potty trained them as well as taught them basic commands. I do not allow pets outside, even my fenced yard, without me outside with them. We never have visitors so an opened gate will never be a problem, because our gates are always shut. Your animals will be loved as if it were one of our own. If an overnight stay and they are used to sleeping with a human, myself or my child will be more than happy to comfort them throughout the night. They will be so spoiled, loved, and extremely well taken care of. I work less than part-time from home. I am always available and can fit in your pets needs at any time. My cat used to snuggle with me every night, and I can't wait to welcome more little fur-balls into my life to cuddle. My standard nightly rate includes up to 2 pets. In addition to my passion for animals, I have completed a cat and dog CPR certification course through the Red Cross, ensuring that I am prepared for unexpected situations that may arise. I also hold my own liability insurance underwritten by Lloyds of London, separate from Rover's insurance, giving you peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Furthermore, I have successfully passed an enhanced background check by a third-party provider. Animals are my passion, and I feel incredibly grateful to live in the mountains, surrounded by all the beautiful wildlife. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member/s! Pets need love, security and re-assurance when their human parents are on vacation. That is why I prefer to house sit. I can also just drop in for feedings and walks if you are more comfortable with that. I will treat your fur babies with love and respect and give them lots of play and cuddle time! Your wish is my command and I will follow any special instructions or routines you may have.
About: I have had family dogs growing up and as well as into adulthood and around my daughter. My dog passed a couple years ago and I thought I could give back to the pet community. I have my own business so I can set my own schedule which allows me to work around the schedule that you need. My business is local on the mountain so I am up and around the area. I care for the pets the way that you need. I will ask questions and find out from you how best to care for them and their needs. I then write those details down and remember them on the follow up visits.
“Karina was great. We got updates on all of our dog Calvin's walks, and pictures were great to have too. Calvin has a new friend and Karina definitely spoiled him with longer walks and attention. Calvin can be a bit anxious but took to Karina right away. It was comforting to know that we could count on her to take Calvin out at the prescribed times and didn't have to worry. This was Calvin's first time with a dog walker (he used to go to a pet boarding facility) and we felt he would be more comfortable staying in his own home - with Karina's help, that turned out to be just the right thing to do! In the future, we'll definitely use Karina whenever she's available!”
About: We are both huge animal lovers. Both having animals in our care at a very young age. These animals included dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, lizards, horses, cattle, lambs, and goats. I have years of experience providing pet sitting and dog walking, comfortable with dogs of all sizes! Kristina has works at many Humane Societies where she got hand on experience working with w cats of all temperaments and sizes. We reside in the beautiful Lake Arrowhead so we can take your pup for a dip in the water or for a scenic hike! I have a huge fenced yard your fur baby would love to explore. I work from home so your pet with have 24hr supervision while in our care! We will either be cuddled up or playing with your pup, they will NEVER be left alone I have a huge fenced yards. I do have dogs but will keep them separated unless asked otherwise by pet parent. Pets are allowed inside and on the furniture!

“Prince had an amazing time with Emily and Sam! I’m somewhat of a helicopter mom when it comes to my boy because of his background and his age/health. We met before the stay and went over everything regarding Prince’s background. During his stay, they did their best to accommodate him and make him feel comfortable and at ease. They updated me with pictures and texted me as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for my boy to stay. I knew he was loved and cared for not just by Emily and Sam, but by their kids as well! I have already rebooked for next weekend!”
