About: I have 2 cats that were escued from an animal shelter and backyard. Other than making sure that they have their food (wet and dry) as needed, brush their fur, clip their nails, clean their litterbox, it is also important to spend time with them. “Sabrina looked after my one cat, Chloe, for upwards of around 40 days some months ago and did an extraordinary job. Not only was my cat well looked after and was a happy kitty when I returned home, Sabrina made the process very easy despite extending the scheduled dates. This was my 2nd time using Rover and it was another great expereince. Sabrina patiently listened to me discuss Chloe's various quirks and asked questions to ensure my pet was loved during my first Pandemic trip. Sabrina sent pictures often and was very communicative with me as we discussed shifting schedules and concerns over possible excessive heat in the apartment. She made me feel comfortable in my absence and I could not have asked for anything more. Chloe is a shy cat and she seemed perfectly content with Sabrina as a caretaker and that is the highest praise there is. Thank you.”
About: I have loved animals my entire life and always went out of my way to interact with them whenever I could. At the age of 14, my family decided to adopt a cat. We rescued her from the SFSPCA and I was the one in charge of her car. We later adopted two more cats from the SFSPCA over the next two years. I also grew up with Akitas, a Pittbull/Labrador Retriever mix, fish, and hamsters. As a young adult, I adopted and trained a Blue Heeler/Pitbull mix from 9-weeks-old. I also fostered a variety of animals from 2010-2012, from dogs and cats, to hamsters and exotics (including a hedgehog, rabbits, ferrets, and chinchillas). Today I am a single mom with two amazing older children. Our household is still full of animal love! We are owned by an adopted, blind Pekingese/Tibetan Spaniel mix, two rescued cats, two rescued tortoises, two betta fish, two African dwarf frogs, a Pixie frog, two scorpions, two vinegaroons, and a Gargoyle Gecko. I currently work evenings only. This leaves my days free to care for my own family’s animals companions and for the animal companions of others! ❤️ I believe in treating anyone’s animals not only with the same respect and care I would want for my own, but also the love and care I offer to my own animal companions. I have animals with a variety of needs and am used to being flexible and meeting animals where they are. ❤️

“Another great experience with Nicole. Kiko was a little anxious this time because of noisy neighbors and work being done in our apartment building. Nicole was still able to get her to play and kept us informed of Kiko's moods/issues daily. A few unexpected things happened during this visit but Nicole was on top of it all. The scariest was a potential evacuation due to a wild fire close by. Nicole was in constant contact with us and ready to take Kiko to her home for safety if needed. We were 5000 miles away and felt helpless but knew Nicole would do what was needed to keep our fur baby safe. We received updates daily that included several photos and videos. About: We've used Rover many times while traveling, and now are happy to host as well. We've had dogs for the last 20 years, and before that, grew up with family dogs and cats. We view our pets as a part of the family. When your dog is staying with us, they will have daily walks and access to our enclosed yard for late night potties. If your dog likes to swim, they can also go for a swim in our pool in the summer. We allow dogs to roam and relax where they are comfortable to. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds here. Both my husband works from home while I keep a hybrid schedule, and therefore we are home most of the time. Your dog will always have a human and dog companion while staying with us. My husband works from home, while I keep a hybrid schedule, which makes it easy for us to care for your pet 24/7. We live in a flat walkable neighborhood with sidewalks and street lights. We take our own dog on frequent walks, and occasionally to the dog run (like Baldwin or Newhall) or on longer hikes (like Lime Ridge). Our backyard is fenced, and so is our pool. We have a lush grass patch for pets to potty on. We have some stairs (no more than 3), but in general our home is one level. We have mostly wood floors with some carpet. Dogs are allowed on furniture and at the foot of beds here.

Having one myself, I specialize in French bulldogs. I don't discriminate on the breed but I completely understand their sometimes difficult needs and also their funny little stubborn personalities. I also have a dog door that goes to the backyard if they're comfortable with using that, otherwise somebody is almost always home. We don't leave dogs unattended. My wife and I both permanently work from home, so your pets will rarely be left alone and will always have company throughout the day. Our schedules are flexible, which allows us to offer weekday daycare and consistent care. We usually take our dog on walks in the morning and afternoon, and we love including other furry friends in our routine. We currently live in a welcoming home with a secure backyard where pets can safely explore, play, or simply relax. Inside the house, pets are treated like family — they’re welcome on the couch and bed, and we also have a crate available if needed for comfort or training. Whether they enjoy being active or lounging indoors, we make sure every pet feels right at home with us. I’m permanently working from home now with my wife. My work is usually flexible. We’re free weekdays to do day care. I usually walk our dog in the morning and afternoon. We now live in a house with a backyard. They can still sit on the couch and bed, and we always have a crate available if needed. They are also free to explore the backyard or just relax inside. It's a very welcoming home.
About: I have had my own dogs for 28 years now and I love my dogs. The animals have contributed to my family life is such a positive way. I feed my dogs by 7:00 am and dinner at 5:00 pm. I walk them twice a day and take them to the dog park. My yard is fenced in, and my gates are locked with a padlock. My dogs have a doggie door so that they can come in or out of the house.
