About: Hello animal lovers - I have benefitted from Rover for dog sitting and realize it's something I'd love to do myself. My husband (a social worker) and I are both dog lovers and have a dog (a Frenchie) as well. I work from home (I run a marketing agency I started 12 year ago) and alas much of typical day I'm on zoom, and treasure the breaks for walking and loving on the dogs. While new to Rover, if been helping out friends and neighbors with dog care and logistics and sharing the love for years I'm reliable, work from home, and would love to know how you could use some help. Currently offering to sit or board one dog at a time or arrange prescheduled walks. I'll treat them like family. Comfortable with dogs of many sizes and personalities, and happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Our dog Fiona, a frenchie, plays well with others and has some unique needs including no rough play + daily medicine needs so we're familiar with special rules and medical needs. We do a morning walk, a mid day walk, an "after work" walk and a before bed walk. I work from home so am genrrally around all day. While flexible, I imagine at least initially the primary offering will be to host and care for your dog at our place but am open to house sitting if there's a great fit, I work from home. I can host your dog weekdays and weekends but know on weekends we may have friends (and sometimes friends with dogs) stop by. We have a fenced in deck otherwise for excercise we take leashed walks. I currently am only offering care in my own home and plan to only host one additional dog overnight at a time. Ask me any questions you'd like.
“Our dog loves Brandi and her family! She sends lots of updates, photos and is clearly diligent about Olive’s feeding regimen. Olive always comes back happy and tired from all of the playing :) thank you so much!”

“Lauren and Ben took such kind care of Mira for a few days. Their home is full of family warmth and happy dogs, and Mira felt right at home. Communication was smooth and easy, and Lauren sent daily updates and photos, which I really appreciated. I would definitely bring Mira back when I’m in the area. Thank you so much!”

“Sunny returned a very happy boy after getting to run around a beautiful property with lots of new friends. David was kind, responsive and flexible! Would love to have Sunny visit again when we're in the area :)”

“Leslie was a wonderful sitter for Lola. We have used her twice and she will continue to be our go-to whenever we're in Guernville. She has a great house perfect for dogs and she was incredibly easy going. Would highly recommend!”

About: I will spoil your dog with attention and provide you with complete peace of mind. You can rest assured that your dog is safe and happy and getting the care you specify (such as health needs or special diet) and the love your dog wants (games, walks, toys, treats, hugs, and other canine amusements). My work is part-time, online, and at my own pace, so I can easily shift my attention to your dog's needs for walks and playtime. I have a small fenced yard with artificial grass, and there is a large park at the end of the street, two or three small parks in the neighborhood, and a 2-mile trail to downtown. I have whatever a dog needs but ideally, pets should arrive with their own favorite "furniture," toys, and treats.
“Bernadette was very flexible when I needed to change my drop off time. She has a lovely shady yard and beautifully calm home. My DAISEY really enjoyed her stay there. I highly recommend Bernadette. Her two little doggies were great playmates.”

My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .

I have no doubt that Daisy is in good hands with Melissa .”

“Kathryn was wonderful with our dog Sesame during our weekend trip to Sea Ranch. She was communicative, flexible, and clearly experienced with dogs. Hers were calm and respectful, which made Sesame feel at ease. She even met us around town so we could take Sesame on some daytime adventures, which we really appreciated. We’d absolutely trust her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable sitter!”

“Sarah was great from start to finish! Awesome and quick communication, super punctual for dropoff and pickup, and sent many photos of our pup enjoying her time with her. Will definitely book again!”

“With only a couple of days notice I asked Stefanie if she’d watch our shy little dog overnight who also needed to receive a couple of oral medications. Stefanie responded quickly to my request. Drop off and pick was easy and I received texts with updates & pictures showing our dog enjoying her stay. Our dog came home happy and healthy. Thank you Stefanie!”

On occasion, I am in the field filming, or performing, however I spend most of my time at home on the computer coordinating and editing projects. I am flexible and willing to exercise, administer meds, clean-up after, and provide company, play, and cuddles. I am sensitive to your needs and the needs of your loved one(s).

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs for 30 years. I have two Pittbull mixes , one boxer Pitt and one Pitt bulldog. The Pitt Bull Dog has intervertebral disk disease and used my training in occupational therapy and massage and did physical therapy with him myself so he could use his back legs again, after being paralyzed and needing a wheelchair. He’s now able to walk without his wheelchair. I’ve also taken pittbull training classes with them and am knowledgeable about training cues. I currently work as a distribution sales executive, and work from home, so have free time in the afternoons and weekends. I have a baby and two dogs of my own and would still be able to take some time to visit other dogs in my area. I can check on pets during the day or while clients are on vacation . I can take them on walks, let them out in the yard, play fetch , feed them , snuggle them, and even give medicine.

About: I have had cats since I was a child, and have taken on both long and short term cat care! I have always had a special connection to cats, and have had a kitty shaped hole in my heart since I lost my beloved kitty Rufio 8 years ago. I would be so happy to feed and play with your sweet feline and give them lots of love and pets! I will also sing to them, if they like it !!

About: Caring for cats has always been a joy for me. I’ve spent years looking after them at home and have come to truly appreciate their unique personalities. Cats may be known for their independence, but they also have a deep need for affection and companionship—on their own terms, of course! I understand how to respect a cat's space while also recognizing those sweet moments when they want to cuddle, play, or simply sit nearby. From keeping their litter box clean to making sure they’re eating well and feeling secure, I provide the calm, attentive care that helps cats feel at ease in their own environment. Whether your kitty is shy or a total lap cat, I’ll make sure they feel loved and cared for while you’re away.

About: I’ve been taking care of my own cat Sophie, for about 2 years now. I treat her like a princess and clean up after her every day. She’s become so healthy over the years, she was the runt of a litter so I had to put a lot of more time into her.

About: I grew up with many animals in our household from dogs, cats, turtles, birds, fish, and bunnies and always had a unique connection to them. I have an innate empathetic understanding with them. I have experience with training younger dogs, as well as taking care of elderly dogs. I have experience providing necessary medication if needed, as well as lots of love and snuggles and adventurous hikes or leisurely walks for elderly animals. Currently I have a cat and would love to have another dog but for now getting to take care of other people's dogs or cats would satisfy my desire to be around lots of animals. I am currently a full-time student and I work remotely online so my schedule is flexible and I can work from anywhere. I would prefer to watch dogs and cats in your home. I like to communicate with the owner of the pet and get a clear understanding if there is a particular feeding or walk schedule, as well as if medications are required, or crate preferences. I am happy to send a photo of your animal baby each day if you like daily check ups. I love communication so trust and understanding are developed between myself and the owner.
“When you first meet certain people, you know they are real and up front with you, such that you will have no worries leaving your pets and home in their care. Brianna is such a person. She was just like a gift coming to the front door to meet us and our pets. Her care and concern is the very best. We received updates and pictures of our cats with text messages about their activities. Three of our cats get meds and one needs a little bit of special attention. Brianna was on top of it all. We recommend her to anyone booking for pet care they can count on.”

About: I began my seriously joyous devotion to animals at the age of 11, as an SF ZOO volunteer in the barnyard, where I learned to care for a variety of animals, from miniature horses to coyotes to parrots, and more. I have continued to attract rescuing wayward beasts of all kinds, providing them with excellent love and care. I am a natural nurturer, the animals feel at home with me wherever we are. I have worked as a cat, dog and multi-pet sitter for many years, up until now, only through personal referrals. I am a kundalini yoga teacher, craniosacral and polarity therapist. My son is grown and I have a very flexible schedule. I love to get out with the dogs for long walks and if they don’t mind the car, we might get to the beach. I love nature, the outdoors and finding out how best to care for your animal so that they don’t miss you too much. I absolutely appreciate forming long term client relationships so that you and your animals can relax and have fun. I am self-employed and can accommodate your needs. When I am hired for a pet-sit, this is my focus and priority. I can schedule all my other work around it. I have a lovely minimalist home for your pet, a small garden and plenty of leashed walking in the woods space for regular exercise. If a dog is ok with car rides, I’m happy to take them to the beach.
“Laura is getting to know Yogee and also getting better at walking him. He is a energetic puppy and needs a good well paced walk. She is very patient with him which is lovely as he is slowly adapting to her. I hope to have her walk Yogee more in the future. She was very helpful and even started using the Rover cards. She is a really nice person.”
About: I've been caring for pets since I was 10 years old, and over the years, it's become second nature to me. I have hands-on experience with both small breed dogs and cats, and I understand their unique personalities and needs. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or just some quiet cuddles, I know how to make them feel comfortable and safe. I’m also very attentive to pets’ bathroom cues and routines—an important part of keeping them healthy and happy. Currently, I have a pug and a labrador at home, so I’m very familiar with both the playful energy of larger dogs and the special care smaller breeds often require. Your furry friend will be in loving, experienced hands! As someone who works from home, I have the flexibility and time to give pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. Pet sitting fits perfectly into my routine—I’m able to provide regular check-ins, walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions without any rush. Because I’m home most of the time, your pets won’t be left alone for long stretches. I can easily adapt to their schedule, whether that means early morning feedings, midday walks, or keeping them company during the quieter parts of the day. My flexible work setup allows me to be present, responsive, and fully committed to your pet’s comfort and well-being. At my home, your pet will feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I have a fully fenced yard, which is perfect for dogs to run, play, and get their exercise in a secure space. Whether it’s a quick potty break or some time to burn off energy, they’ll have room to move around freely and safely. Inside, I have crates available for dogs who are crate-trained or just need a quiet, cozy space to relax. I always make sure pets feel at ease, whether they prefer lounging indoors, exploring the yard, or snuggling up for some one-on-one attention. Your pet will be treated like part of the family in a clean, calm, and pet-friendly environment.

About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I’m the perfect person to hang out with and cuddle your furry friend while you’re away. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I am home for most of the day and am typically not gone from the home for more than a couple hours at a time. Love having the pets sleep with me and venture out to hiking spots or day trips if that is something that suits them.

About: I am a kind, reliable, loving college student who loves spending time with furry friends. I have two dogs of my own and have had a few felines as well in my household. I have volunteered at animal shelters and shadowed veterinarian hospitals and I learned I rather spend time having fun with animals and taking care of them in a surrounding that is most comfortable for them. I am honest and value honesty and integrity as well as family. Our pets are a part of our family and I know from experience it can be hard leaving them home alone for a week or couple of hours. I am here to make that easier by relieving the stress of the unkown of what is happening with your pet at home by being with them and taking excellent care of them. I am available week days and weekend to sit, walk or visit your furry friends from 6am-8pm which give me plenty of time to play and make sure your pets are taken care of. About: I am a life-long dog owner and lover. In the past few years I have helped raise multiple puppies and been a professional pet and house sitter. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from teeny tiny to 130+ lbs ! I love going on walks in nature and making sure dogs get sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. And of course, lots of snuggles! I have experience with elderly and special needs dogs as well, including medication and special diets. I look forward to meeting your sweet pup! I am a musician who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility and time to pour into the animals I am caring for. Daily walks are my favorite! I treat every space I enter as sacred and care for it like my own. My home has 2 small dogs currently, so it is designed for their care and safety. I love to leave a space cleaner than when I found it! And bless it with positive energy, leaving you with a happy pet.

About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .
“Very happy with Jennifer looking after our dog. She took great photos of him and sent us updates of his stay. We just picked him up and he's one happy and very tired dog! We will definitely have her look after him again. Highly recommend!”

“Crystal was great! She took wonderful care of my golden retriever, Shawn. She sent cute pictures and updates daily! After playing with her dog Rosie and a couple other dogs she was watching, Shawn came back a happy sleepy boy! Thank you for taking such good care of my furry buddy!”
“Melissa was so thoughtful and kind to both Daisy and I. It was our first time leaving Daisy since we adopted her. Melissa took the time to let us visit her home for a meet-and -greet and sniffs of her property a few days before Daisy’s stay. Melissa was so thoughtful and attentive to Daisy’s needs.

“This has been our dog's second stay with Amber and Michael, and they have been fantastic! Amber keeps us informed with updates and pictures so that we can feel relaxed and confident that our dog is being well cared for. I would highly recommend them!”

“We had a dog care need come up with two weeks notice and Sheila was able to help us out. This was our first time using Rover for a sitter or boarding and Sheila (with her husband) made Rory feel at home. She got her cuddles, scritches, treats and a big yard to run after the ball. I loved the updates and pictures of Rory enjoying her weekend doggy getaway.”

About: Hey, I’m Chappy! Christopher is my legal name… I specialize in walking / caring for large dogs and working breeds, but am happy to work with all breeds and sizes. I have worked with high-energy, reactive, less than sociable dogs too, giving them the physical and metal fulfillment they need. I personally have two larger dogs, Count (German Shepherd Husky mix, 110lbs) and Bentley (German Shepherd Dutch Shepherd mix, 80lbs). I’ve also worked with a range of breeds from pugs to golden retrievers to Alsatian shepherds to American bull dogs. I’m a freelance, work from home marketer, so I’m pretty much always at home and available to take care of dogs, or am able to come to you and take your pup out. We live on roughly 8 acres in Sonoma County, so there is plenty of room at our home for dogs to run and explore. I have two friendly German Shepherd mix dogs that love having friends over. We also have a secure deck that the dogs loving sunbathing on and watching the world go by. I can crate your dog, if need be (we have a crate / room for crates), along with the ability to keep dogs separate if need be. Should your dog use a e-collar of any sort, I’m trained in properly using them, as both of my dogs are trained to them. If your dog loves to hike, we regularly go for hikes on the trails around Sonoma County, or to Dillon Beach to run around off leash.
