Our usual dog care fell through right before a long out-of-state trip, and we were genuinely considering postponing because our senior dog, Indi, has recently been diagnosed with IBD and needs a specialized diet, daily meds, and a calm, attentive environment. She can get stressed easily in new places, which has previously led to tummy issues and even skin flare-ups — so we were very nervous about leaving her with someone new. Once we dropped Indi off, it was clear Luna treats animals like family. Her own dog, Jim, also has IBD, so she had first-hand experience and comfort caring for a pup with similar needs. Throughout the two weeks, Luna provided detailed updates every single day — including meals, meds, walks, and yes, digestion reports (very appreciated 😂). She took so many adorable photos and videos that we could see how happy and relaxed Indi was. Our dog walker also commented on how noticeably happier and healthier Indi seemed while staying at Luna’s — her stools even improved (a true win for IBD dog parents!). Communication was flawless, kind, and reassuring the whole time. We felt completely at ease, which is priceless. I’ve worked with many large dog breeds, which include malamutes, German shepherds, pitbulls and even Akita’s. I’m currently work during the day so I am free most evenings Sunday through Thursday. I have more availability on Fridays and Saturdays during the day. I make sure the pets are in safe areas for them so that they don’t get into anything that isn’t safe. About: I absolutely love animals and I’m always excited to meet new little personalities. I work well with all sizes and ages, and I’m patient, calm, and consistent. I’m great with basic training, potty routines, leash manners, and socializing. I’m very loving but also structured, so your baby will feel safe and cared for!🫶🏻 I work during the week (about 8am–3pm) and I’m currently off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Outside of that, I’m usually home and available, so I’m still able to give a lot of attention and one-on-one care! I split my time between San Francisco and Petaluma on our family farm. It’s a calm, simple environment and it’s usually just me and my two-year-old, who is very gentle and used to being around animals. “Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

About: Hi there, I’m Chris! I’ve had some kind of pet in my life ever since I was little, from cats to dogs to aquatic acquaintances! I currently have two cats that bring me so much happiness. I’ve been my friend’s and family’s go to pet sitter for many years due to my obvious love of pets and animals. I’ve taken care of all sizes of dogs and of all ages, as well as mixed species pet families. I establish bonds with the animals I care for which can sometimes make it hard to say goodbye. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. Please let me know if there are any special requests or needs for your animal! I understand the importance of an animals happiness and mental state. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! About: I am empathetic towards others and have a soft spot for all animals. I am a friendly, loving, energetic person who owns 2 dogs and one bunny. Simba the bunny is 3 years old, my 12 year old schnoodle named Coco and my 6 year old Pitbull named Bella. I enjoy walking Coco in downtown or the beach, after 3 knee surgeries she can't keep up like before. Bella and I on the other hand enjoy taking long hikes or walks across town. Bella can be reactive with other dogs so I do have experience handling dogs who are anxious. I have successful trained puppies in basic commands such as to sit, stay, shake hands, and roll over. I believe it is important to spend time to stimulate the mind by teaching them new tricks. The smallest dog I have dog sat was a 5lb Yorki and the biggest dog weighed in at 65lbs. I do feel comfortable caring for all dog sizes and all dog ages. I'm currently working part-time and once we agree on a schedule I will be committed to sticking to it as I know the importance of structure for a dog. I like to have the dog/cat feel as comfortable as possible. Giving them time to adjust to me. I ask specific questions about feeding time, how and when. I have my dogs on a schedule and my day flows a lot smoother. When walking I like to make sure they are calm and following my commands before we start our walk. I don't just walk your dog I study them, look for cues of anxiety, nervousness or stress. Something I often do with my dog Bella. Because of how she reacts to other dogs I find places and times of the day she won't have many distractions so we can both enjoy the walk.

Janette was concerned that the dogs were not eating. I immediately ordered alternative food and treats and Janette was flexible and did whatever necessary to ensure that my dogs ate something. I especially appreciated Janette and her Husband for accommodating pickup time. My flight was delayed about 5 hours. I wasn't able to pickup my dogs until after midnight. Janette was very graceful and helped make a smooth transition for my pets being returned to my care. With Janette, I found reliable and trusted care for my pets.
