About: Hello, I am lexington a recent college graduate and I am trying to save money to go to vet school as well as get experience with different dogs or animals. I have experience with giving dogs shots and where to place the different kinds of shots on the dog or cat. I have worked with many different breeds at the butte humane society. I started out going twice a week to 3 times weeks for 6 hours weekly just to walk dogs and hang out with cats. I got up to 108 hours for a unit course which was cool. I have also helped with wags and whiskers events such as moving the dogs to the pen area so they could get adopted. I have also grown up with animals my whole life, since my first animal was when I was two and he was a black cat named mine. Full availability till the 27th of may and then I am available after 5:30 pm Monday-Thursday. Open availability on the weekends though. I would love to hang out with your animals since it makes me a happier person. I can feed them, clean litter boxes, play with the animal, I can also lay with the animal while watching tv with them. I'm extremely protective of my pups and was worried about leaving them, but once I met Lynn and saw how she was with my little guys and with her own "babies", and how secure her yard was, I felt completely at ease and comfortable leaving them in her care. I didn't bring their food with me because we weren't leaving them overnight and they won't eat when we're not there. She made them chicken! which of course they ate right up. This woman LOVES dogs. Volunteered 1200 hours- cleaned cages, helped adoptions run smoothly, fed animals, worked with supervisor to keep rescue updated online, edited rescue's website, took pictures and posted them, and trained new volunteers. Also worked in a veterinary hospital for a couple months in the kennel department giving medication, cleaning cages, and ensured animals well being. Whether it’s watching them overnight, or doing drop-ins to maintain a regular meal/medicine routine or making sure your pet stays hydrated throughout the day, I prioritize comfort and health for all animals in my care. I currently work 8-5pm from home, and I would like to offer my caregiving in around those hours. For stop overs/check in's during my lunch break, after work hours and on weekends, I will check in on your pet(s) and make sure they are taken care of and have what they need, per your specific instructions. For overnight care, I would simply need somewhere to sit with my computer and reliable wifi in order to work from your home, so I can be there all day with your pet(s). I do not offer care from my own home, but will travel to and/or stay at your home for the specific care you many need.
