About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, patience, and exercise. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks. I respect people's spaces, and I am good at following detailed instructions for homes and their pets. I have references and happy clients to tell you about it!

About: Although I have never owned a dog myself, I have several years of experience caring for family dogs. My sister has had a dog since 2016, and my mom got a dog in 2023. I regularly help care for them when my family is out of town, including feeding them on schedule, providing fresh food and water, taking them on walks, and making sure they are safe and comfortable. I’ve seen Edward around the neighborhood before, and his dogs always look so happy, relaxed, and well-behaved — now I understand why! He even took extra time to show my mom how to be more assertive with Luna, and I swear she turned into a dog whisperer after just a short session with him. About: I'm excited to meet new pets and their people! While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for animals. I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for pets and homes, along with a lifetime of loving animals of my own. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality, as well as cats, birds, and other small animals. Most recently, I spent four years living in Hawaii with my own dog, cat, and bird, and have cared for pets throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, Oakland, Contra Costa, and Napa. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If your dog enjoys adventure and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to include longer walks or outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. I enjoy keeping active dogs both physically and mentally engaged, while always respecting each pet's individual needs and routine. During COVID, while my massage therapy practice was on pause, I got a certification in canine massage, deepening my understanding of canine anatomy, mobility, and comfort. This experience has been especially valuable when caring for senior dogs, anxious pets, and those who benefit from right amount of exercise and a calm, gentle touch. Every pet is different, and I take pride in carefully following your instructions so they feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, patience, and exercise. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks. I respect people's spaces, and I am good at following detailed instructions for homes and their pets. I have references and happy clients to tell you about it!

About: I was raised in a home full of dogs and cats. We took in any and all strays. Even had a pet duck that lived to be 12 years old. I have bottle fed puppies that the mom dog was too spoiled to care for and my English Bulldog taught me so much about how to deal with a dog with medical challenges. I'm patient and kind. I'm currently working as an assistant TK teacher and I only work part-time so I have plenty of time to watch over your fur babies. My apt is safe and I can take them on neighborhood walks or hikes. I'm fully capable of taking care of dogs or cats in my home or yours.
