About: I have been a pet owner for virtually my entire life! Cats, dogs, rabbits and even a bird! My partner and I recently lost our beloved Jack Russell Terrier “Terrie” after 14 wonderful years. While regular travel commitments make it difficult to adopt another companion of our own at this time, we would love the opportunity to care for your “best fur-iend” when we are home! Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. Aside from that I love for the owners to tell me more about their pet to allow me to best adjust my skills to accommodate the pet.

“She was very patient and flexible with my ever changing plans due to weather and my commitments to be at a friend’s bday. I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.”

About: Hi there! I am a recent law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also have experience dealing with reactive dogs. For a time I had a rescue dog, Judge, who struggled with aggression, leash reactivity, and general fear/anxiety. “Achara is the BEST! I had a sitter lined up to watch my pup while I was out of town for my graduation, and the worst happened - 2 minutes before meeting up, the sitter canceled at the last minute. I was leaving for my grad the same day and scrambled to find anyone who was wiling to watch my pup. Achara saved the day! She was flexible, calm, and reassuring. She sent daily pics and updates, and she also works from home, so I didn't have to worry about my pup being cooped up in a crate all day. I HIGHLY recommend booking with Achara. “Sade was great, Rickie Boobie is a handful with tons of puppy energy, she connected with him right away, let him get acclimated. Everyday she sent me pictures and text reassuring me he was being a good boy . It was our first time and I am grateful for Sade, her husband and son for making Rickie Boobie welcome and loved. “Katherine was a fantastic sitter for our senior pup Amara and I would happily be a return customer! She was available to accommodate Amara super last minute, which was life saving, and she really understood the needs of a senior doggo with a particular personality. She was very thorough, even communicating which vet she would use in case of emergency (don’t worry, no emergencies occurred!). They had a great time hanging out in her back yard, going on strolls and snuggling on the couch. Amara was a very happy girl at the end of her stay and I would definitely recommend Katherine as a Rover sitter!”
