“Achara is the BEST! I had a sitter lined up to watch my pup while I was out of town for my graduation, and the worst happened - 2 minutes before meeting up, the sitter canceled at the last minute. I was leaving for my grad the same day and scrambled to find anyone who was wiling to watch my pup. Achara saved the day! She was flexible, calm, and reassuring. She sent daily pics and updates, and she also works from home, so I didn't have to worry about my pup being cooped up in a crate all day. I HIGHLY recommend booking with Achara. I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for Achara <3”

“I needed a last minute sitter for my pup and luckily Martha accepted my request. She did a meet and greet the same day I submitted my request and asked a lot of questions about the care and schedule for my pup which made me feel reassured. During the stay Martha was very responsive and gave frequent updates with pictures and videos which I appreciated! When I picked up my pup she was very happy and healthy! I would definitely book again!”

“Mia was very considerate and caring about baby, Heera. We would love to leave Heera with her again. Thank you so much Mia for the care and compassion you have towards our fur babies!”

“Grisel took great care of my pup. She was very communicative & always kept me updated with pics of my girl, made me feel at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. Mila looks forward to her next visit with Grisel.”

“Our dog Max had a great stay with Danielle for 2 nights; he was reluctant leave when we picked him up which is a great sign. She was quite responsive when we needed to amend our pickup time and we really appreciated how she contacted us for some guidance when she was unsure of what Max was needing to settle him down near bedtime on the first night. Highly recommend Danielle”

“We were so pleased with our experience working with Jennifer! Our dog came back so happy and we could tell she was definitely well taken care of and loved! We were nervous to leave our dog over NYE with all of the fireworks but Jennifer did an excellent job of helping her to feel comfortable. She also provided great daily updates. So happy to have found her and will definitely look to her again for future stays.”

“It’s always a treat for our dog to stay with Jared and Andy! I just know that they love our little guy as much as we do, which is such a reassurance when you’re far away. I’ve booked them many times and will in the future for as long as they’ll have us!!”

“Sade is great and responded to a last minute request. She was communicative, and she responses very quickly. Her home is organized and clean, and her two fur babies are adorable. Trina stayed with her for one night and was well taken care of. I would come back again, thanks Sade!”

About: I have been a pet owner for virtually my entire life! Cats, dogs, rabbits and even a bird! My partner and I recently lost our beloved Jack Russell Terrier “Terrie” after 14 wonderful years. While regular travel commitments make it difficult to adopt another companion of our own at this time, we would love the opportunity to care for your “best fur-iend” when we are home! My partner and I both work from home, so, rest assured, someone will always be there with your pet for playtime, potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. The house is of a decent size and currently we are without a full-time pet of our own. Your pet will enjoy being the center of attention!
“Thank you so much for such wonderful care for our Miss Appa! It was so nice to relax at our out-of-town event and see the pics/videos of her getting walks and play times. And that was so nice of you to sleep down on the couch with her. She is a lucky dog!”

“Always available and communicative during the stay. He is consistent with sending photo updates and meeting food/medication needs. His elder pup is super patient and kind as well, and a great example for socializing.”

“Knowing that Coco was in a safe and happy home helped me to enjoy my family time while out of town and not be stressed. Coco really enjoyed her walks and play time. Thank you”

“I had concerns how my 5 year old rescued German Shepherd would adjust with the extended stay but Reginay handled him very professionally. She shared videos and kept us very informed which helped us extremely so we could enjoy our vacation. We are very glad we found her and know we can take future vacations with our boy being in good hands. Great Job Reginay!!!”

“Needed a last minute sitter for a week while we were away, and couldn’t be happier with Amanda! We have a really anxious dog but he settled in fairly quickly and had a playmate with Amanda’s daughter. In fact when picking Simon up, her daughter was carrying Simon … it was so sweet. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Amanda.”

“Our experience with Erin has been wonderful! In the past, our dog Cinnamon hasn't liked being away from home. But she has been to Erin's multiple times now and is always super excited to go. Erin is an excellent communicator when coordinating dropoff/pickup times and sending photos/updates while Cinnamon is visiting. We are so happy we found her (and Cinnamon is too!)”

“So happy with the care Davis gave my Marsha! From the very first meet-up, he was warm, kind, and clearly knew his stuff when it came to animals. It made choosing him as our sitter a no-brainer. During Marsha’s stay, Davis kept me in the loop with regular updates and the sweetest photos—she looked so cozy and content snuggled up with him! I’ll absolutely be booking with Davis again and highly recommend him if you’re looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

“Mir was amazing! She accommodated Toki last minute. She was super communicative before and during his stay. Toki looked relaxed and happy in all of his photos and he was super chill when we picked him up. I will definitely use Mir for our boarding needs again. 10/10 Thank you!”

“I wanted to send a big thank you to you for watching Moose. I am often hesitant about leaving him with someone else, but I truly feel I left him with the right person. I really appreciate how responsive, sweet, and respectful you were throughout the stay. Your knowledge about dogs is clear, and it was wonderful that you could take him on walks and spend time with him while working from home and sending daily updates. I would definitely like to book with you again for my next trip. You are a 10/10 for me :) Thanks again!”

“First time using Rover and found the best cat sitter. Jazmine is absolutely amazing, reliable, and wonderful with my cat. Definitely recommend and will for sure book with her next time we need a sitter. Thank you!!”

“Payton did a phenomenal job of checking on my cat while I was out of town for a few days! She was very communicative from the start and sent many photos of playtime during daily check-ins. When I returned home it was clear that things had been well maintained in my absence. I hope she’s available again next time I’m headed out of town.”

“Kacey and Liz took care of our babies and we couldn't be more happy to have booked them. They were very sweet and patient with our cats and we were left with no worry during our trip. I will be booking them again!”

About: I've taken care of cats and kittens since I was around 11. My mom and I have fostered over 20 babies and gotten them into great homes. I also have taken care of multiple adult cats in my years, and volunteered with my local shelter as well. I've had experience with both feral and sick cats, and have spent a long time learning about cat care over the years.

About: I have worked with cats and dogs of all ages & sizes for the past 3 years with my previous employer, McCulloch Pet Sitting located in Las Vegas, NV. I recently have moved to Sacramento and am looking to continue pet sitting. I am Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid certified through American Red Cross. I currently am available for drop in visits and walks as of right now. Availability for overnight stays may open up in the near future. I am comfortable with pets of all kinds and will gladly perform proper feeding, walking and playing routines to ensure that they are well taken care of in the times requested.

“Holly was a lifesaver when our pet sitter fell through last minute. She is reliable and my cat Fonz was very happy with her. Would definitely rebook with Holly again in the future and recommend her to those looking for a pet sitter.”

“Mindi did such a wonderful job of making sure my cat was well-cared for while I was gone. He gets really anxious when I’m away, and I could tell that she did a great job playing with him because he was calmer than normal once I came back. She also made sure he had water and a clean litter box everyday. I really recommend Mindi if you’re looking for someone to take care of your pet!”

“Christina did such a great job with my cat Quizzy! In the intro meeting, she paid close attention to instructions and showed strong knowledge of cat care. My boy warmed up to her right away and she was so sweet with him. I felt relieved knowing he would be in capable hands. It was a last-minute booking over Christmas too, so I was super glad she could be available! While I was gone, Christina left wonderful notes and took many adorable pictures of Quizzy so I felt comfortable knowing he was having fun. She was great with communication too - she let me know in advance if she needed to come a bit earlier or later in the day than planned, and always stayed for plenty of time. She followed instructions perfectly and made sure everything was neat and tidy by the time she left. All in all it was a stress-free trip and I’ll definitely be requesting her help again next time Quizzy needs a sitter. Thank you Christina!!”

“Natalie did drop in visits for my cat while I took my dog on a camping trip. I feel horrible leaving my cat, but Colby is in great hands with Natalie. I love that I get lots of pictures and a report card every day it makes me miss him less and he is so happy when we get home. I know he’s well cared for and happy. Thanks, Natalie, you’re awesome.”

“Elizabeth is beyond the best sitter for my cat “Timber” my fiance and I just moved here and travel a lot for work. We have already booked Liz 3 times first for stop by visits as our fur baby needs special attention for his nose and sinus issues and twice for staying at our place. She is practically family now as our cat loves her visits (even sleeps by her head for stay in visits). Very trustworthy as she sends photos and keeps us in the loop on everything with updates and if she notices something out of the ordinary she lets us know. She is the BEST! I wouldn’t pick anyone else to take care of our lil dude but her. Thank you sooooo much.”

“Elaine is an awesome pet sitter. She takes her job seriously and communicates efficiently. My cat LowKey loves her! He even looked for her once I returned home. I will definitely book her in the future when needed.”

About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. Aside from that I love for the owners to tell me more about their pet to allow me to best adjust my skills to accommodate the pet.
“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Becky is the best dog sitter ever. She takes such good care of my dog Charlie, she’s very reliable and the best dog photographer. I know my dog is safe and happy when he’s with her. Thank you again!”

“It’s been 6 months last time my fur-child visited Martha. His reacquaintance with Martha & her family went smoothly! I received a comforting video of him playing with Misty and pictures during his stay. Happy to have found Martha!!”

“Always amazing care for my energetic beagle. Grisel kindly accommodated as I needed to extend my pick up time last minute. Always reliable and sweet updates.”

“My dogs came back super happy and tired from Marc’s. I needed someone quick and he was very accommodating. My dogs had fun with Marc and his dog Odin. We will definitely be using him in the future.”

“I’m so grateful to Achara for taking such good care of my pup! He did so well and had so much fun. Achara completely took my worries away from leaving my dog in a new place and sent me such good pictures! Thank you to Achara!”

“Miya was very kind with Kono. He is very active for a near 2 year old, and she kept up with his energy. She modified her care plan to suit his needs, more walks and play - she learned of his obsession with balls. He inherited the traits of a working dog in a small package, and he definitely worked Miya. Thanks for being patient and caring for my furbaby.”

“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

“This was Mitzi’s first time staying with Matt, and it went really well. She was a little nervous at first, but Matt was patient and made her feel comfortable. He communicated regularly and sent photo updates, which I really appreciated. By the end of the stay, she seemed relaxed and happy. I’d definitely book with Matt again. Thanks for taking such great care of Mitzi!”

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

“Omega had a wonderful, long day staying with Lisa and Brett for the first time. I appreciate their flexibility and great care they provided him. Free runs in the back yard and lots of walks.”

“I am happy to have found Sade! She has 5 stars & repeat clients! (Check) She responded promptly & was interactive. (Check) Her profile page is informative, especially for newbies. (BONUS) She has such a kind disposition that when I met her, I knew my baby would be in good hands.(Check) I was happy that she also had pets, including a puppy, which was a plus for my active pup. (BONUS) She sent short text upates, pics & a video throughout the day so I didn't have to wonder what was going on. (Check) She took my active pup on two walks. (BONUS) And I could tell my pup had a great time because when I came to pick her up I almost couldnt get my pup to leave the steps of Sade's front porch! (BONUS Check! )”

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 10. I have experience caring for senior dogs as well as puppy care! I also have experience with training. I currently work from home, so I am just hanging out with my dogs all day and taking them outside, so I thought why not have some more dogs come hangout with us! I have my own two dogs that are super sweet and friendly, and would love some more friends to play with! I take them out every 2 hours if not more and we go on walks or play in the field!
“Debra was so wonderful! I was in town for a wedding and she watched my pup from the morning until the evening when the wedding ended. Since I didn't have a car she even picked up and dropped her off. Plus she sent me photos of my baby throughout the day. Thanks so much!!”

“Cedric was amazing!!! Hands down the best doggy care one could ask for. He consistently kept me updated about what they had done for the day. Thank you again Cedric!!”

“Athena was happy to stay with Janessa. We got cute photo and updates during the day which was really helpful for us because Athena is not used to stay away from us. We had to prolong her stay for a couple of hours and Janessa was super understanding and helpful.”

About: Hi there! I am a recent law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also have experience dealing with reactive dogs. For a time I had a rescue dog, Judge, who struggled with aggression, leash reactivity, and general fear/anxiety. Training with him and learning from him made me extremely educated on dog safety, care, and proper protocols when out on walks to ensure a good time for everyone involved. I recently moved to Sacramento after graduating law school, and would love to walk your dog (and maybe even help with some training) while I am studying for the bar exam. Hope to hear from you! My study schedule for the bar is exam is flexible as it is a self-paced course. I normally go for a walk in the mornings before I start my day, but I am free any time to assist! I have a large SUV that I’m happy to take your dog along in for a little adventure! My favorite daily walks in Sac is along the American River and I’d love to bring a pup along. I am also happy to stay local to wherever you live and wherever your dog is most comfortable.
“Payton has been so good to my pup! Very reliable and helpful in a pinch. My pup is so much happier because of her walk when I’m at work. Thank you Payton!”

About: Hi! I’m originally from Norway and currently live with my husband and our very friendly cat. I’ll treat them like they’re my own❤️❤️ I currently work part time starting around 4 PM, and my husband gets off work around the same time (3:30pm) so there will almost always be someone home to care for your pet. I also have a lot of free time and love to stay active during the day, I love to walk, hike and run,so pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I’m excited to give your pet lots of attention and care while you are away! I always want pets to feel safe and comfortable in my home. We recently moved into our apartment, so there isn’t a lot of clutter or things pets can get into. Our cat is also very nosy, so we’ve already made sure our home is very pet-proof and safe. Whether that’s walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medication, or just giving them extra attention and comfort, I’ll make sure they feel cared for and at home while you’re away. I also love going on walks and staying active, so dogs will get plenty of exercise, attention, and outdoor time with me💓
“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best!
“Always available and communicative during the stay. He is consistent with sending photo updates and meeting food/medication needs. His elder pup is super patient and kind as well, and a great example for socializing.”

“It was our first time using Rover and I was a little nervous. Michael eased my mind and I knew Cooper would be in great hands. From the meet n greet I knew Michael was going to give my boy plenty of attention and then once we dropped him off I saw them on a walk right away. I got plenty of updates of them on walks and pictures of him on their adventures and him pooped out afterwards. Cooper enjoyed his stay and we will definitely be booking a stay with Michael again!”

“Aaron is the best. This is the first time I left my pup with a sitter and I knew he was in good hands. Aaron kept me updated and sent lots of pictures. I fully trust him with my pup. Highly recommend !!!!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Ana Carolina and her husband Chris! They were incredibly kind, responsive, and even offered to do a meet-and-greet on their own time, which meant so much to us. They took genuine interest in Mila’s care plan and asked thoughtful questions to make sure every detail was right, as well as serving regular updates and pictures. Mila can be slow to warm up to new people, but she absolutely loved them — which says everything. We’re so grateful for their care and would highly recommend them!”

“Annie was great with my nervous dog. Annie responded quickly to my messages as we prepared for my dog's stay with her, and sent me pictures while my dog was in her care.”

“Alexandra was an amazing sitter and pet boarder! She sent plenty of pictures of our dog and kept him entertained with play time in the backyard and visits with other dogs to the parks/her salon. We will definitely use her service again.”

“Demetra was a lifesaver after a last-minute cancellation of another sitter. Demetra was prompt, thoughtful, and flexible, and even arranged a meet and greet on short notice, which gave us peace of mind. Most importantly, my pup seemed to have a great time playing with her dogs!”
