“Geisel sent multiple pictures and videos each day. She seemed to have a true affection for my dog Ollie and I was very comfortable that Ollie was well cared for”

“Achara was fantastic! She took great care of my dog for a whole week, and was very accommodating with my last-minute request and when plans had to change. I will definitely rebook with her in the future.”

“This was my second time booking with Martha, and she was wonderful once again. She was very flexible with drop-off and pick-up, provided regular updates, and took great care of my dog while I was away. I felt completely at ease and would definitely book with Martha again!”

About: I have been a pet owner for virtually my entire life! Cats, dogs, rabbits and even a bird! My partner and I recently lost our beloved Jack Russell Terrier “Terrie” after 14 wonderful years. While regular travel commitments make it difficult to adopt another companion of our own at this time, we would love the opportunity to care for your “best fur-iend” when we are home! My partner and I both work from home, so, rest assured, someone will always be there with your pet for playtime, potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. The house is of a decent size and currently we are without a full-time pet of our own. Your pet will enjoy being the center of attention!
“Doh was great with boarding my dog who occasionally has issues with other dogs. She was able to play in her own separated yard. Doh was also willing to accept her last minute for a holiday. We will definitely be a repeat customer.”

“Matt was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, going above and beyond with our anxious Doberman puppy who struggled when we're away. He sent us detailed updates and photos every day, which was so reassuring - especially seeing them enjoy their daily walks together! His messages about their behavior and activities were super helpful, and we really appreciated how quickly he let us know about our pup's paw wound (which we already knew about). He truly understood how to handle our young Dobie's separation anxiety and kept both dogs happy and comfortable throughout their stay. His professional and attentive approach made what could have been a stressful time so much smoother for everyone. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter!”
“I just can’t say enough nice things about Jared and Andy. They take such wonderful care of our little pup and are great about sending daily pictures of what they’ve been up to. I feel lucky we found them!!!”

“Hana took great care of Evee! She sent frequent updates and lots of videos. Evee looked like she enjoyed a vacation away from home during her stay and loved the company of the other dogs Hana would board and walk. Would definitely book Hana again!”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Ana Carolina and her husband Chris! They were incredibly kind, responsive, and even offered to do a meet-and-greet on their own time, which meant so much to us. They took genuine interest in Mila’s care plan and asked thoughtful questions to make sure every detail was right, as well as serving regular updates and pictures. Mila can be slow to warm up to new people, but she absolutely loved them — which says everything. We’re so grateful for their care and would highly recommend them!”

“Danielle was a fantastic host. She is a good communicator, very accommodating and overall just a delightful person. Cersei felt 100% comfortable staying with Danielle and had fun playing with her own pups as well.”

“Great communication and responsiveness. Fenced dirt backyard with 2 French Bulldogs. First time staying at Amanda’s house. He came home clean and happy with resolution of his ear canal infection (needed daily ear drops given during his stay)”

“My fur-child did well staying overnight with Lety. It had been about 6 months since he needed boarding again. My sweet boy was taken care with much love and care as always. My mind is always at ease knowing Niko is with Lety.”

“We feel incredibly lucky to have found Julie for a last-minute booking from Tuesday to Friday night! From the moment I reached out to her, everything about the experience was seamless and reassuring. Julie invited us for a meet-and-greet at her home, and I immediately knew Toki would be in great hands. The next morning, I dropped Toki off feeling 100% confident that I had made the right choice. Julie’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine love for animals were clear from the start. Throughout Toki’s stay, Julie kept me updated and went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Her communication was excellent, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Toki was in such capable hands. I highly recommend Julie to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate dog sitter. She truly treats your pet like family, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her! Thank you, Julie – we’ll definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Miya is amazing!! She’s professional, caring, aware and trustworthy. She took such great care of our Frenchie for a week. She really went above and beyond and even took the time to celebrate her 2nd birthday while we were gone. We are so grateful to have her help and would absolutely schedule with Miya in the future. Thank you Miya!!”

“Sade was very sweet and patient. We really appreciate being able to go out of town and not worry about Nella being uncomfortable. I would definitely recommend her.”

“I couldn't recommend Michael more! This was the first time I left my newly adopted dog with a pet sitter, and I had concerns that my dog had issues with men. So I was a little nervous. Luckily, everything went very smoothly and without issue. Michael has a nice easy way with dogs and is very experienced. Additionally, Michael kept me apprised with regular updates and photos, which eased my mind so that I could enjoy my trip. I would definitely book with Michael again!”

“Cedric was honestly one of the best sitters I have ever used on Rover! He was so flexible in drop off and pick up, communicated very well and gave my boy Nitro all the attention he needed. He treated my dog like a part of the family. I would 100% use Cedric again without a doubt!”

“I can’t recommend Kazue enough! She takes only one dog (or one family) at a time, which is a huge plus for a dog like Butter who doesn’t do well around other pets/dogs. Kazue updated me with photos and videos at least 3 times a day, which gave me so much peace of mind. I’ll definitely have her board Butter again. If you’re looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, Kazue is the one!”

“Chelsi did an amazing job with our 15 month old Miniature Schnauzer, Menace. We went on vacation for 5 days and couldn't take Menace. Since this would be his first time away from us for a long period of time we decided to look into having Menace stay with a pet sitter instead of putting him in boarding and we're so glad we found Chelsi. From my first interaction with Chelsi I was impressed and we did a meet and greet at her place with Menace to make sure he would be comfortable. Chelsi also told us she was raised around Miniature Schnauzers so she was familiar with the breed. Menace took to her right away and we instantly knew that she was a perfect fit for him. Throughout our vacation Chelsi was very responsive and sent daily updates and pictures which we appreciated as we were nervous about Menace being away from us. Menace had a blast with Chelsi and we will definitely use her again in the future. We recommend Chelsi to anyone looking for a pet sitter. She was amazing!”

“Carrie has literally saved our lives. She is so loving to our cats and truly is a blessing. She goes above and beyond everytime she comes to our house and I can’t thank her enough for her loving generosity.”

“Jazmine was communicative, attentive to our cat’s personality and needs, and went above and beyond to make sure she was well entertained and stimulated. Our cat wasn’t grumpy when we got home and seemed to really love her. Bonus: takes great photos for you while you miss your pet :)”

“We’re so grateful to Kelcya “Kacey” & Elizabeth B.! They took such sweet care of our kitten while we were away—making sure his food and water bowls were full, his litter box was clean, and most importantly, giving him plenty of love and playtime. He was clearly well cared for! Thank you both so much! 💛🐾”
“Payton was great! Very responsive and took the cutest pics of my cat while I was on vacation to give me peace of mind he was taken care of. Will def be using her again!”

“Katherine was fantastic! She was very easy to communicate and work with, and she set me totally at ease about my cat's wellbeing. She provided lots of good pictures and was attentive to my cat's needs.”

“Rebooking Markita was an easy decision. Though it’s always hard to leave our boys behind while we’re away, we always feel comfortable knowing she’s caring for them! Thanks as always, Markita ☺️ 5 meows (stars) from Charlie, Freddie 🐈⬛🐈”

“Danielle was great! Super flexible and communicative. Knowing she was taking care of my kitties me feel less worried about leaving them for a couple days!”

About: I've been caring for cats for most of my life and have helped care for 12 cats with a variety of personalities, ages, and energy levels - from kittens to senior cats! My experience includes feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning and changing litter boxes, playtime, brushing (when welcomed!), and making sure each cat feels safe and comfortable in their own environment. I understand that every cat is different—some love attention, while others prefer their space. I'll also provide regular photo and message updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your cat is happy and well cared for!

“Holly is simply the best. She is communicative, accommodating, and attentive to my cat’s needs. She also takes amazing photos of my cat during her visits. Highly recommended!”

“Natalie is awesome. Kolby (cat) is so much happier when I get home after a short trip. If I leave him for a day and.not have Natalie do a drop in, he is not happy. He will poo outside his litter box and he won’t come near me for a day or two to express his frustration. Since having Natalie, I’d come home to the sweetest cat, he snuggles like he missed me, not mad at me. Thanks, Natalie. You are Kolby’s forever Valentine 💌”

“Elaine is a great sitter! My cat doesn't like being left and I've never left him for 8 days before... I came back to a lovey chill feline. I know that's down to Elaine's style and going the extra mile! She even played my cat's favorite tunes for him. And watered my patio plants! So grateful to Elaine fir keeping him happy and healthy, and to feel less guilty and worry free when I leave him. I'm already asking to book again for Sept!”

“We’ve booked Grisel several times and will continue to rebook! She has gone above and beyond to provide exemplary care for my Otter boy (lending him a doggy sweater when it’s cold outside and successfully flushing his eyes with his eye wash during allergy flare-ups). I can rest easy knowing that he is in her care.”

“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

About: I may not have dogs of my own but I sure do love being around them. Before moving I use to volunteer at an animal shelter and I loved it there just to see how dogs were able to have at least a couple of minutes of happiness from pups to seniors. I also foster kitties and have two of my own! I am currently attending nursing school, so can’t fit a full time job into my schedule. This is the best option because it’s something I love and I can still complete my studies! I would first build trust with the animal ensuring they are not frightened by me. Aside from that I love for the owners to tell me more about their pet to allow me to best adjust my skills to accommodate the pet.
“My dogs came back super happy and tired from Marc’s. I needed someone quick and he was very accommodating. My dogs had fun with Marc and his dog Odin. We will definitely be using him in the future.”

“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Becky is the best dog sitter ever. She takes such good care of my dog Charlie, she’s very reliable and the best dog photographer. I know my dog is safe and happy when he’s with her. Thank you again!”

“Davis was flexible and allowed us to drop off Beryl earlier. He seems to be enjoying looking after pets. Our initial meet left a positive impression and we’ll definitely book again if we watch another event around Golden 1 stadium.”

“This was Mitzi’s first time staying with Matt, and it went really well. She was a little nervous at first, but Matt was patient and made her feel comfortable. He communicated regularly and sent photo updates, which I really appreciated. By the end of the stay, she seemed relaxed and happy. I’d definitely book with Matt again. Thanks for taking such great care of Mitzi!”

Puppies have a special place in my heart, and I don’t think I would ever turn down watching a puppy!!! I have my own two dogs that are super sweet and friendly, and would love some more friends to play with! I take them out every 2 hours if not more and we go on walks or play in the field!
“Risa was super welcoming when we arrived. She kept me updated during the stay and my doggy seemed very relaxed with Risa. She also drew an adorable picture of my doggo. Would recommend!”

“We did a trial daycare visit to prepare for a longer stay in a month. Everything went so well! Great communication and several updates were sent throughout the day of them playing and resting! I feel much more comfortable leaving them at a new place for their longer stay after this visit. Thanks Achara for your care with the pups and I can already tell they are looking forward to going back!”

About: Hi there! I am a recent law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also have experience dealing with reactive dogs. For a time I had a rescue dog, Judge, who struggled with aggression, leash reactivity, and general fear/anxiety. Training with him and learning from him made me extremely educated on dog safety, care, and proper protocols when out on walks to ensure a good time for everyone involved. I recently moved to Sacramento after graduating law school, and would love to walk your dog (and maybe even help with some training) while I am studying for the bar exam. Hope to hear from you! My study schedule for the bar is exam is flexible as it is a self-paced course. I normally go for a walk in the mornings before I start my day, but I am free any time to assist! I have a large SUV that I’m happy to take your dog along in for a little adventure! My favorite daily walks in Sac is along the American River and I’d love to bring a pup along. I am also happy to stay local to wherever you live and wherever your dog is most comfortable.

I currently work Sunday through Wednesday, and I’m fully available Thursday through Saturday. On those days, I can give your pet my full attention and focus on their care, routine, and needs. On Sunday through Wednesday, I am available before 8 am and after 8 pm. I provide dog sitting and dog walking with a strong focus on safety, trust, and maintaining each dog’s normal routine. About: As an educator with a bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development, caregiving, patience, and responsibility are a huge part of who I am. I'm dependable, attentive, and comfortable pet sitting, feeding, walking, playing with pets, following detailed routines, and providing plenty of companionship and affection. I'm also completely comfortable with the less glamorous parts of pet care, including cleaning up poop and other messes, because I know that's simply part of keeping animals happy, healthy, and comfortable. I've had many pets of my own over the years, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can genuinely trust to care for your pet and your home while you're away. While I'm not able to have a pet of my own right now, I would love the opportunity to give that same care, attention, and affection to yours. I look forward to getting to know your pet, making them feel comfortable and loved, and caring for them as if they were my own. 🐾 My schedule allows me to provide pet care on weekends and during times when I'm not working. I'm available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and pet sitting, and I do my best to work with each pet owner's routine and scheduling needs. I understand how important consistency is for pets, especially when their owners are away, so I make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and companionship. I take caring for someone's pet and being trusted in their home seriously. I carefully follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walking routines, household rules, and any special preferences their pet may have. I pay close attention to doors, gates, leashes, and the pet's surroundings to help keep them safe and secure. I also make sure to clean up after pets and leave the home tidy, because I believe respecting someone's home is just as important as providing loving and dependable care for their pet.

Treating every pet and home like my own, I follow routines closely by keeping doors locked, sending photo updates, and staying responsive throughout your trip.
“As first-time Rover users, we chose Alexandra and all we can say is Alexandra is the best! She is extremely prompt & communicative and was eager to help us navigate the app and Rover support when we realized we were being charged holiday fee outside of the holiday period. You can tell she genuinely cares about the pets she cares for while the owners are away. Thanks Alex!”

“Payton has been so good to my pup! Very reliable and helpful in a pinch. My pup is so much happier because of her walk when I’m at work. Thank you Payton!”

About: I have experience with different collars and leashes, I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, and I have experience with reading dog body language, and leash training. I don’t currently have a job, so I have an open schedule to dog walks at almost any time. I can also do a scheduled walk weekly I have a large fenced yard in my own home that I own. But I prefer to take care of your animals at your own home so they feel more comfortable. Or walk them in a completely different location.
“Shang was amazing with my dogs. She was always on time and communicated when she arrived at my house. One of my dogs requires more time to get comfortable with and Shang was very patient with him. She understood their own comfortability levels which allowed them to trust her. I can tell that the dogs are fond of her from the smiles in the photos she sends me! Shang is reliable, caring and I would recommend her to anyone looking for help with the pups!”

About: Ever since I was 10 I've taken care of dogs. I have experience in many different ages of dogs from newborn puppies to full grown. Since it is summer your pets will always fit in my schedule! Saturday and Sunday will be the only days I can't fit your pets in. I will always be willing to feed, clean, play and walk with your pets if they need it. I can stay overnight too as well.

“My first rover experience with Jennifer went very well! She is super friendly and was patient with my shy pup. I will definitely recommend her and use her services again :)”

About: What sets me apart is my experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I fostered puppies and adult dogs for four years, which gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I also grew up with working dogs, so I am very comfortable handling high-energy breeds and understand the exercise, structure, and attention they require. Whether it's a playful puppy, an active working dog, or a senior pet needing extra patience and care, I adapt to each animal's individual needs. I am confident handling dogs on walks and prioritize safety, consistency, and positive interactions. I am comfortable working with reactive dogs as well :) I am a full time student looking to fill my summer by taking care pets instead of adopting more! I have extremely open availability, whatever your pet needs Ill be there. I wholeheartedly understand the anxiety and stress that can come with leaving your pet in someone else's care, I have those same feelings when it comes to my own pets. Because of that, I will treat your pet as if they were my own, providing them with the same love, attention, and care that I would expect for my animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness, along with your peace of mind, are always my top priorities. While I am caring for your pet, I will be readily available by text or phone and happy to provide updates, photos, and videos to help you feel connected and reassured while you're away. 🐾
About: I have been a dog owner for over a decade. I have owned rat/Boston/French terriers and German shepherds. Currently I have two dogs, Sally and Maggie. They are Boston terrier mixes who love to sunbathe and chase around tennis balls! I love dogs and am responsible and trustworthy. I am looking for full time employment at the moment, therefore I am a dog walker for the flexibility. A very close friend of mine, who I admire, recommended becoming a dog walker because I adore dogs. I have pet sat before and am high energy for these dogs. I would love to be able to form relationships with dogs on this site so regular customers are always welcomed. I tend to take my dog to Discovery Park regularly and they meet other dogs as well. I am currently looking for full time employment so I am flexible so I can chat with owners and find times that work for the pets! I have a fenced backyard and two lovely dogs although potential clients would need to meet my dogs to ensure safety! In a client's home, I would ensure they have a list of expectations regarding roles and am always respectful of the space, keeping the home as it was left.

“So happy with the care Davis gave my Marsha! From the very first meet-up, he was warm, kind, and clearly knew his stuff when it came to animals. It made choosing him as our sitter a no-brainer. During Marsha’s stay, Davis kept me in the loop with regular updates and the sweetest photos—she looked so cozy and content snuggled up with him! I’ll absolutely be booking with Davis again and highly recommend him if you’re looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

“Becky was really patient when I was anxious about my pet staying at her place and sent updates in timely manner. My pet looked like he had fun with her as his company :)”

I want my clients dog to feel as comfortable as they do at home providing love and care. I have a fenced in yard back and front. About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 10. I have experience caring for senior dogs as well as puppy care! I also have experience with training. Puppies have a special place in my heart, and I don’t think I would ever turn down watching a puppy!!! I currently work from home, so I am just hanging out with my dogs all day and taking them outside, so I thought why not have some more dogs come hangout with us! I have my own two dogs that are super sweet and friendly, and would love some more friends to play with! I take them out every 2 hours if not more and we go on walks or play in the field!
“Alexandra was so great with our puppy Louie! She sent me daily photos with updates on how he was doing and all about the new friends he was making. She was extremely flexible with our drop off and pick up times and easy to communicate with. Thank you Alexandra!”

“Anna was completely accommodating to my doggo during her stay at Anna's clean house. Anna provided regular updates during the boarding process, and made sure my dog was healthy, happy, and surrounded by other friendly dogs. Thank you again!”

“Mir is a great babysitter! She is a very caring and nurturing furbaby sitter! Took Charlie for walks, sent pictures of him and must say he looked so happy! We will definitely have her sit Charlie again.”
