“Achara is the BEST! I had a sitter lined up to watch my pup while I was out of town for my graduation, and the worst happened - 2 minutes before meeting up, the sitter canceled at the last minute. I was leaving for my grad the same day and scrambled to find anyone who was wiling to watch my pup. Achara saved the day! She was flexible, calm, and reassuring. She sent daily pics and updates, and she also works from home, so I didn't have to worry about my pup being cooped up in a crate all day. I HIGHLY recommend booking with Achara. I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for Achara <3”

“A+! Michael was fantastic with Priscilla. I could tell that she was well loved and taken care of. Michael's communication was great and he was easy going with my husband and my horrible calculations of arrivals for dropping off and picking up. You can easily tell that Michael is great with dogs as soon as you meet him. Glad to have found someone in the Sacramento area we can trust with our pooch!”
“Janessa took wonderful care of our pup for 10 days over the Christmas holiday. It was so nice knowing that she was well taken care of while we were gone for an extended period of time.”

“Knowing that Coco was in a safe and happy home helped me to enjoy my family time while out of town and not be stressed. Coco really enjoyed her walks and play time. Thank you”

“Pavel took such great care of our Eve. She was very comfortable around him and his home. She’s not friendly with other dogs. But, Pavel was attentive to her needs and trustworthy. He also provided a safe environment for her at his home by keeping things cool during a heat wave. We appreciate his care for Eve.”

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats in the past, as well as walked neighbors and friends dogs! Moved to a new city so looking for new pups and cats! Currently have a full time job but find myself in one place most of the day so looking for ways to stay active! I’m available most weekends, and week day nights! I like to keep a clean space so am sure to clean up after animals, as well as have a safe space for them to play, eat, and use the bathroom!

“Natalie is awesome. She has done a few drop ins for my cat. I used to leave him home alone, but he wouldn’t eat well and nervous when I got home. I love now that I come home and he is as content as can be. He eats and uses his litter box. He isn’t nervous and I love that I get so many pictures that I don’t feel guilty about taking the dog and leaving the cat lol. I think he’s getting as spoiled as the dog. Natalie is awesome.”

“Jenna was great with our two cats while we were out of town for the week! She made sure they had wet and dry food, water and clean litter boxes each day. Great communication and sent us pictures each day”

“Luis and Sonya were friendly, reliable, and communicative. They responded quickly to all of my messages and gave me updates on how the cats were doing. I would absolutely recommend them, and hope to have their help again in the future! :)”

“Jessica is an amazing cat sitter! She is so attentive and communicative and made me feel so comfortable leaving my shy kitten with her. I’ve never seen my kitten warm up to anyone as fast as Jessica, and can’t wait to book with her again!”

“Elizabeth always does such a great job! My two cats LOVE her and the time that they get to spend with her while I’m out of town. She regularly goes above and beyond when she pet sits — definitely book her if you need a sitter for your kitties!”

“Samantha was very responsive and great at communicating! She was great with Cleo even though Cleo can be sassy! She respected Cleo’s boundaries but also gave her lots of attention. She followed rules exactly and put me at ease while I was away. I knew my cat was in good hands!”

About: Hello! My name is Krystal. I’ve taken care of many cats throughout the years. I’ve also had two cats (one was 21yrs old and the other is now 4yrs old) both orange tabbies. I’ve come to know that cats all have different personalities and will adapt to their needs as I see fit. I love to cuddle them (if they let me) and give them all the pets. Beyond basic care, I focus on building trust. Not just with pets, but with their humans too. I keep you updated with photos, notes, and peace of mind. I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family member and looking forward to meeting you both!
About: I’ve taken care a few neighbor’s dogs over the years and always love doing it since I was 13. I love being able to bond and create a happy and safe environment for pups whether it be bathing them, feeding, walking/exercising or playing. I have two dogs of my own that I love and care for. Dogs really are man/woman’s best friend and I intend to love and care for every dog as much as my own have loved and cared for me :) Currently, I have a part-time job so I am almost always readily available, whether it be for a scheduled routine or on short notice. Dogs aren’t just pets, they’re family, and they deserve as much love and care as any member of every family. At home I feed, walk, every once in a while take my dogs to the dog park. We also play lots of fetch, cuddle, and get thoroughly groomed, as well as many amazing baths which are much needed as they love playing in the dirt. I also make sure their poop is picked up regularly and eat only what’s healthiest for them along with occasional treats once in a while :) They also receive a vast amount of petting time and I always make sure they have fresh, clean water to drink from.
“Christina is fantastic! She is a wonderful communicator and she always goes above and beyond (even goes as far as sweeping the space around the litter box and bringing in packages from the front porch :)). She is my go-to for checking on my cats when I'm out of town. I highly recommend her!!”

About: Hi I'm Jess! I'm a dog lover with experience caring for dogs with seperation anxiety, dogs who need medication, reactive, and deaf dogs! Personally, a year ago I adopted a problem child dog from a local shelter and am currently trying to make more money to pay for his medical bills! I used to care for a deaf dog and am familiar with basic signs. Also, I worked as a professional dog walker for summers during college with a dog walking service called Sniff Seattle! Let me know if you'd like to chat about how I could best meet your pet care needs. I will note that I would need to bring my 2 year old basset lab mix with me for overnight stays. He is dog and human friendly, doesn't chew, or have accidents. He also has lived with a cat before and is not aggressive. Hello! I work from home so I am almost completely available to stay with your pet at all times. I walk Bartleby 3 times a day with one bonus potty break. I'm happy to play fetch or even run with your dog as needed. I am respectful of house rules and privacy. I do my best to leave the house cleaner than I found it while providing the best possible care for your pup or kitty! Be assured I'm an animal lover and will give your good boi or girl all the attention they need.
“She was very patient and flexible with my ever changing plans due to weather and my commitments to be at a friend’s bday. I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.”

“Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.”

“Fantastic Dog Sitter! I highly recommend! She was very nice and kept me updated with adorable photos of my dog throughout the stay. When I picked him up, he was happy and well-cared for. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!”

“Athena was happy to stay with Janessa. We got cute photo and updates during the day which was really helpful for us because Athena is not used to stay away from us. We had to prolong her stay for a couple of hours and Janessa was super understanding and helpful.”

“Thank you Jackie for taking care of our little tee cup chihuahua for the day!! From start to finish the booking was easy and we felt our dog was in great hands. Jackie sent us pictures through out the day, was professional and very easy to communicate with. Would definitely use her again if ever in the area. Thank you!!”

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

“It’s always a good sign when the dogs tail starts wagging going up to a door. My pup clearly enjoys his days at Aubree’s and playing with her lab. Her daughters are also so good around and with the dogs, so it’s like he’s spending time with an adopted family.”

“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

About: Having grown up with animals including dogs, cats, chickens, fish and even hamsters, I have always felt connected to animals and pride myself in my ability to help them live their best lives! I am currently a full-time high school teacher with a fixed 8am - 3:30pm work day most weeks Monday - Friday, so I am primarily only free after 4:30pm during the week to help out with all of your pet needs. During the summer and during short breaks throughout the school year I am free nearly 24/7! I am happy to help out as much as I can! I am new to the Rover app as a sitter; however, having a dog and a cat in my home I am knowledgeable in how to best take care of these animals both inside and outside of the home.
“Sunshine and Shannon are wonderful and were so kind to me and my pup! They send multiple updates throughout the day and are very understanding of your dogs needs. Thank you both for looking after Ollie!”

About: Hi! My name is chynna (China), I know life can be expensive and I know my rates are higher. However please send me a message and I am willing to work with any budget! :) I've grown up with dogs my whole life, I work currently as a barber which gives me the flexibility to enjoy daily walks and cuddles with your furry friends. I come from a loving family who has always had a soft spot for dogs in our lives. There isn't a day I can't remember not having a pup. I reallly hope that I can look after your pup for you! I can guarantee you that your puppy is in great hands! I currently work part time and have more then enough time to watch and love on your animals. I have been doing so for the past 10 years and would love to help your loved one feel cozy when you are away! I have a fenced in patio, a close by dog park, and huge water bowls. If you would like your dog crated please provide a crate!
“Grace was wonderful! She was able to watch Indy on short notice while we spent the day exploring Sacramento, and she took great care of him. She made sure he got plenty of exercise and attention, and it was clear he had a great time with her. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We’d happily book with Grace again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Martha was very attentive with my dog Arthur! We had booked a daycare visit and will be using her again in May twice! She was very professional and was always keeping me updated with my dog. I love how detail oriented she was with always letting me know how Arthur was.”

About: Hello! My name is Krystal. I bring a calm, attentive, and personalized approach to every pet I care for. I’ve taken care of many dogs throughout the years. Small dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs. I also had two dogs (one mixed doggy who was 15yrs old and our golden retriever who is now 2yrs old). I’ve come to know that all dogs have different personalities and will adapt to their needs. I currently work full time but I work from home W-F and off every other Monday. I have the flexibility to give your animals much needed attention throughout the day. I am able to come walk your dog during lunch or before/after work. I can also watch your pet from my home where I have a friendly dog and cat. If I were to watch your pet, I would ask for their feeding schedule and any medications I’m supposed to give them. A walk is always a must with my visit. Depending on your needs. If your dog was being watched in my home, they would be in safe hands and in an active home. We have a toddler who loves dogs and cats. And dog who would love the opportunity to play and cuddle. We also go on daily walks in the morning and evening.

About: I have owned a multitude of pets since I was a child, including dogs, cats, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and rodents. I am adaptable and amenable to all animals and any sort of medical needs, strange likes, and behaviors they might have. I am currently on summer break from college and am therefore available for any time or day of the week. Most of my plans are moveable and I’m very flexible with time. I’m adaptable to whatever your household rules are! I can stay all day or just drop in or even sleep on the couch. Whatever helps you to feel comfortable leaving your precious pet, I will do to the fullest and give them lots of love!
About: I’ve always had animals around growing up - dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses… I took care of my sweet & (very!) energetic dog Missy (golden retriever/lab) for most of her life, and gave her lots of extra attention and medical care in her later years. Recently I’ve been dog sitting for neighbors and friends and it’s such a joy! I love having the opportunity to connect with animals and give them lots of love! 💗 My schedule is currently very open, so I’m available most days of the week as well as some weekends and can generally be available on short notice. I am able to care for your pet(s) in your home according to your specific needs. I’m a respectful and responsible individual and will always treat your home with care!

About: I have been pet sitting since I can remember and grew up with two dogs of my own. Been caring for many families' pets in for over 15 years, have been caring for my S.O.'s dog for almost 2 years and have my own little ACD as of July... so I can provide multiple references! Currently living in Midtown and looking to help out families in Midtown, Downtown, and surrounding neighborhoods for any single day service or daily dog walking. Can service in most of the Sacramento area for overnight services. I'm responsible, communicate well and will make sure your pet feels loved while you are away! Also a volunteered at Charleston Animal Society (prior to moving here) socializing dogs/participating in dog play groups. Looking forward to taking care of your fur babies like they were one of my own!
About: I love animals and making sure they are happy. I can accommodate for any specific needs they may have. I take care of our family pets daily & have done multiple pet & house sits for friends and family. I am trying to find a stable job with reasonable income while helping my mother, my schedule is mostly open when im not needed to watch my other 2 pets. I love my pets company, giving them things too do like running round and playing chase. Cleaning, Feeding and making sure they're happy and if they need their medicine. Usually taking care or them for most of the day.
About: In my younger years I was known as that house you could trust your pets with, which sadly led to less boarding and daycare services and more abandonment of pets on my doorstep. I accepted each surrender because I always figured better here with me then on the streets. After successfully adopting out all these love bugs to people I knew and trusted over the years, I've found myself in smaller quarters. I've found comfort and fulfillment in caring for outdoor cats (commonly referred to as strays) Taking in an orange Tabby to call my own in the process. I've made friends with neighbors who share the same love and passion and through these connections found community - a cat community! I currently care for three cats (siblings), house-sitting as well while their human parents are away. Each individual cat has it's different wants/needs. Through these experiences I've learned gaining trust and love is different for each individual feline. I'm looking to expand my care/services to neighboring cat families mainly because I love cats and know how important it is to have a community of cat folks in your corner when duty, vacation or emergencies call. I'm currently employed by Uber Eats so I make my own schedule. I'm open to weekend care as well. The only thing I do religiously is cultural dancing on Wednesday nights. My current clients are all indoor kitties so I am used to securing the household, feeding on a schedule throughout the day and doing enrichment with them be that play or individual love and cuddle time. I prepare meals specific to each cats needs, keep litterboxes and surrounding areas clean and keeping water stations fresh.

“Natalie was great! She has great energy, handled my strong and enthusiastic dog expertly and patiently. She is an excellent communicator and my dog thinks she is awesome!”

“Grace saved the day! I was too sick to take my dogs out after work but Grace came over with just a couple hours notice to walk my two energetic dogs. She took them on nice long walk and brought them back to me nice and tired. I could tell my dogs felt comfortable with her right away and she was not at all overwhelmed by their high energy. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs in my family for my entire life and have been around them for over 30 years. I have a cattle dog Bjorn, and grew up with those, and my cousin has 2 large breed mix dogs that I also love to spend time with. We have 2 cats in our house as well, an orange cat named Fritz and a siamese named Tut. I am currently working part time, and on summer break, so I have lots of time available to assist with feeding and walking dogs currently. I am an experienced walker and have no issues following special instructions to make sure your pup is safe and cared for the way they recognize.
“I 100% trust my dog with Arianna! She always leaves notes about how he did on his walk and I really appreciate it! She gives me peace of mind while I’m at work. I know my dog is in good hands :)”

“Andrea has been walking my dog Jack for a a couple of weeks now and he has been so happy with her! He is skiddish and shy, but has taken very well to Andrea, which I think speaks well of her! They walk during lunch and he is so much more calmer in the afternoons and when I get home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11, including my own family golden retriever and the pets of neighbors and friends! No matter what stage your pup is at, I’ll make sure to take great care of them! I’m a student currently, but on the days I don’t have class or need a break from studying, I like to stay active by walking with furry friends. I keep a tight schedule when taking care of pets, making sure to keep pups on their regular routine when their parents are away. I can accommodate any needs be that dietary, crating, activities etc. My main priority is to keep your pup healthy and happy.

About: I have 2 years of hands-on experience caring for a dog I lived with in college, starting from when she was a puppy. She was very high-energy, so I’m comfortable with frequent walks, lots of playtime, and keeping dogs mentally and physically engaged. I helped with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and reinforcing training. I also took on full responsibility for her when my roommate was out of town, making sure she stayed on her routine and was well-exercised, safe, and happy. I work remotely during the week, which gives me lots of flexibility to provide pet care throughout the day. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits, as well as walks, drop-ins, and weekend care. I can easily accommodate pets who need more frequent attention, potty breaks, or companionship during the day. I prioritize each pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. Since I work remotely, I’m able to give more consistent supervision, attention, and timely potty breaks when needed. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), and home care. I make sure pets are secure on walks and always in a safe environment. I also pay close attention to behavior and energy levels—especially with high-energy dogs—to ensure they get the right balance of exercise and rest (as we all need!). I keep spaces clean, respect the home, and provide regular updates so owners feel confident their pet is in good hands.
About: Hi there! I am a recent law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. In addition to growing up with dogs, I also have experience dealing with reactive dogs. For a time I had a rescue dog, Judge, who struggled with aggression, leash reactivity, and general fear/anxiety. Training with him and learning from him made me extremely educated on dog safety, care, and proper protocols when out on walks to ensure a good time for everyone involved. I recently moved to Sacramento after graduating law school, and would love to walk your dog (and maybe even help with some training) while I am studying for the bar exam. Hope to hear from you! My study schedule for the bar is exam is flexible as it is a self-paced course. I normally go for a walk in the mornings before I start my day, but I am free any time to assist! I have a large SUV that I’m happy to take your dog along in for a little adventure! My favorite daily walks in Sac is along the American River and I’d love to bring a pup along. I am also happy to stay local to wherever you live and wherever your dog is most comfortable.

“Cedric is amazing with Mitsy! She’s always happy to go by to see her friends Hazel and Nala, and Cedric keeps me updated with all the fun times so I don’t have anything to worry about. She always comes home with a big smile, and sleeps the rest of the day away! Leaving Mitsy in such a loving environment is a great comfort, and they are my go-to for doggy care!”

“Doh was an excellent communicator for our first time experience with Rover. Louie was in good hands with extra playmates and she treated him like he was her own dog. I would highly recommend Doh to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”
