Delphine is in the late stages of terminal cancer, and her care requires patience, gentleness, and a deep respect for her autonomy and quirks. Mackenzie showed all of that and more. She was completely unfazed by the realities of end-of-life care, managing Delphine’s tumors, helping her up and down stairs, and handling the occasional accident with calm and compassion. Delphine, who is usually wary of new people, seemed genuinely at ease in Mackenzie’s presence. That alone speaks volumes. I'm comfortable around all animals, and I absolutely adore them all! I go to school full time, but I do not have classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and love them all. I often watched others dogs in the neighborhood growing up while people were out of town take care of friends and families dogs when they are traveling or at work I work from home and have a golden retriever who I already take care of. He loves to play with other dogs so loves whenever we get to god sit. I have a fenced yard and take the dogs for an afternoon and night walk on my lunch and after work. About: Currently being a stay at home mother, my hours are very flexible! Growing up with cats and dogs, my kiddos and I are currently lacking the fun presence of furry friends! Although my apartment is not the biggest, allowing only one dog at a time allows all of my attention to be focused.
