This was a difficult decision for us as our dogs have never ever been left with someone else. We couldn't have been more happy. Beautiful home, Beautiful yard and loving care. My dogs, while confused, were instantly at ease. Kathy sent pictures and updates though out the dogs stay. It was easy on us and easy on the dogs. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.
About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.

About: Dogs have been in my life since as long as I can remember. Taking care of animals is something I enjoy and therefore, do diligently. I understand the relationship between pets and their owners and I take care of anything you are worried about during your absence. I currently work from home, so I am available whenever is needed. Your pets are my priority, so I am sure to make my schedule around their comfort. I have a fenced in yard and an endless amount of healthily, safe dogs treat and activities for them. Pets will be constantly in view to prevent any “one off” situations.

About: Hi, My name is Peach and I have an 8 year old border collie. We love spending time on the open trails, the park, or playing at home. We are open to all types of animals, Brewer used to live on a ranch so he is accustomed to many different types. We are always looking for a play buddy. Currently, we live in Tahoe City. I am in nursing school and work at the hospital. Making sure Brewer, or whichever animal I am caring for, has enough care and attention is extremely important to me. About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer.
