“Kym was great! She took care of our 5 month old puppy for 5 days while we were out of town. She was super responsive in the booking process as well as while we were gone. She sent daily updates on our puppy who always seemed to be having a great time with her and her dog Huck. I would not hesitate to hire Kym again in the future!”

“Melissa saved us by accepting our very last minute reservation. She went above and beyond in her care for our dog. Fantastic service and communication! She's exceptional!”

“Could not have been a better experience! Our puppy dog Tito was treated as family during the course of his stay. Andrea was amazing at letting me know he was doing ok and I think Tito has found a new best friend with Henry! Thank you all so very much !!!”

“Judy was nice and warm to our dog Angie, she was very cautious about not getting our dog near her other pets, which made me more comfortable with our dog staying there. We will be happy to bring our dog back to Judy at our next stay at Tahoe.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, providing reliable walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention to keep them happy, safe, and well-exercised. I’m a stay-at-home Mom. Kids are homeschooled so we are always around. Can take your dog outside and for walks throughout the day. I have a fenced yard and a silly boxer boy dog to keep your dog company. I can crate your dog at night if you prefer.
“Christina was our little pup Shazam’s very first sitter over a decade ago during the dogvaycay.com days but when it transitioned to Rover, we couldn’t find her until just recently. So happy to have found her again and our now senior little guy Shazam still loved his time with her after all these years!”

“Winnie loves to stay with Aaron, Nicole and the kids. They take him out and take great care of him. We travel much more comfortably knowing Winnie is being loved and cared for by people who pay attention to detail and respect whatever rules we may have for Winnie. He comes back from being with them exhausted and happy and most importantly safe. We’ll continue to work with them as long as they’re providing the service! Thank you guys :)”

“Melanie was so wonderful to our dog, Indy. She treated her just like she was apart of her family. Even on last minute notice - she kept Indy for a few extra days! We will be boarding with Melanie for all future needs.”

“We continue to use Susan every time we go out of town. We love knowing he is going to be taken care of, and that he gets to spend his days on long hikes playing with Susan and her dogs. Thank you Susan!”

“Faith is an absolute gem of a dog sitter, and I genuinely can’t recommend her enough. I reached out last minute — the kind of request most sitters would turn down without a second thought — and she said yes without hesitation. What really stood out was how thoughtfully she handled Atlas’s anxiety. She didn’t treat it as an inconvenience; she approached it with patience and genuine care, and it made such a difference knowing my pup was in calm, understanding hands rather than just being “watched.” On top of that, she was incredibly flexible with pick-up and drop-off times, and even made a special exception for me when I needed a time outside her normal hours. She didn’t make me feel like a burden for asking — she just made it work. That kind of grace is rare. And the updates! She check-ins with photos and messages that were so reassuring. You could tell she wasn’t just going through the motions — she actually cared how he was doing. If you have a dog with any special needs or anxiety, Faith is your person. She went above and beyond in every way. Thank you Faith! 🐾”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog watcher! Westan and his family took incredible care of Canela over the holidays, sending photos from their daily walks and hikes. I’m not sure my dog even noticed I was gone… She was so loved, and I so appreciate it.”

About: I have experience working at a doggy day-care. I was responsible for watching and entertaining up to 25 dogs at a time of all ages and sizes! I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week Tues-Fri. I can cater to whatever your dog needs as I have plenty of experience working with different breeds, sizes, and ages. Just let me know and I will provide.
“Brett was awesome with my dog Scout. He was a great communicator and flexible with drop off time. Scout had a great time hanging with Brett at home watching sports and even went on two different hikes in the area. Scout came home exhausted and happy. Would definitely use Brett again !!”

“Leaving your pet with someone is never easy, but Susan made me feel entirely comfortable from when we did our meet & greet! During my dog's stay, she sent lots of pictures and I could tell my pup was having the best time. Susan was very communicative and easy to coordinate with. I will definitely be using her again in the future, as my experience with her was absolutely amazing!”

“I am so happy with the care Sarge received!! He’s little and old and I was nervous to leave him, but Kristin was kind and accommodating of his picky eating habits, and sent lovely updates. Absolutely will look to them again for our next trip!!!”

When I am not at the hospital working, I can dedicate the whole day to hanging with the pups Dogs will stay in the house with frequent potty breaks. “Our doodle had a fun time with Jessica for the 3 days we were having fun skiing! It's always insightful to see a dog's reaction after the first day of Doggy Day Care and our pup was very happy to run up to Jessica each day. Jessica was great with human communication as well and made all the logistics easy for us with prompt communication. We really appreciated that our high-energy pup got lots of playtime since we didn't have much energy for a long walk after a day on the slopes. We highly recommend Jessica -- 4 paws up!”

“Judy and Bob were fantastic looking after Delta for the day while we skiied. Lots of photos and updates during the day and their dogs were great with Delta who was a little shy to begin with. Highly recommended and we look forward to Delta staying with them again!”

About: Growing up with dogs my whole life, there has not been a year where we have not had dogs in the house.... meaning we love them! To add to growing up with dogs, I (ambitiously) got a puppy during my senior year of college. This taught me to balance caring for a puppy while excelling in school and enjoying my senior year. This challenge gave me a new insight into putting 100% care into a pet and made my bond grow deeper with my dog, Josie. My family's dog, Molly, is a therapy dog for hospitals and schools allowing me to see the true joy that dogs bring into people's lives. That said, I truly enjoy finding the joy and laughter each dog brings into our home! Working from home, I am truly present to take care of and be attentive to all dogs. There are a few days where I will be unavailable due to travel or subbing at school, but those are blocked off on a weekly basis. Josie and I always start our morning with an activity. Josie loves to go on a morning run, so if your pup is a runner... get ready to join the pack! On the other hand, my family's dog, Molly, loves her walks and play time. We also have a park and great trails in our neighborhood meaning the day is open for adventures. Our condo is in a wonderful area close to the beach with lots of grass and easy access to walking trails. As a home welcome to dogs, we love having them sleep with us but can crate them if that is their safest spot. We have the space to feed dogs separately if needed.
“Kathy is a wonderful person and dog sitter. She took excellent care of my dog Camelia while I enjoyed a day on the mountain with my family. Kathy sent pictures of Camelia throughout the day, and I felt confident that she was safe and happy. I would highly recommend Kathy to anyone in the Truckee area looking for a dog sitter!”

I’m very respectful and responsible for others homes and requirements. I have a large yard for pups to play in and enjoy, and often love taking my dog on long walks around Tahoe.
“My pup had so much fun with Lidia. When I picked her up she was calm, happy and content. She had the time of her life playing at the lake and sunning herself on the deck. I'd be thrilled to have her watching my dog again in the future!”

“Jenna is one of the best sitters I've had on Rover. She took Mole on a ski day and shared videos of Mole having a blast ⛷️! great communication, flexibility, and super nice throughout the day. 100% will leave Mole woth her next time I need a sitter :)”

“Ollie enjoyed the stay with Nayla. I got multiple pictures and videos during the stay. There were a few dogs at Nayla’s place on the same day. Nayla and her partner made sure Ollie was safe and had fun with other dogs.”

“Jared was wonderful! Communicative and flexible timing. You can tell it’s a good match when your dog starts perking up each morning when he realizes he’s about to spend the day with Jared and his dogs. Great exercise, play, photos and care!”

“Gissell is awesome! She accepted my doggy daycare request on short notice and took great care of my baby boy Henry. Her senior dog Sierra is a sweetheart and still has a lot of pep in her step. Gissell’s home is super nice, clean, and a great space for dogs to sniff around, roam in the yard and sunbathe on the porch. I received pictures and videos of Henry during his visit and he barely wanted to come home with me he had such a great time over there. Thanks so much Gissell!”

About: I have my own 4 year old black lab who loves attention, long walks, and spending time with other dogs. I’ve hosted many dogs through Rover over the past several years and treat every dog as my own. I prefer to walk or dog sit one additional dog at a time so that they can have individualized attention. I will constantly send photos of your pup while they’re with me and will spend time at any of the nearby parks in the city. I work from home full time so I can host your pup when needed. My dog loves to be with other dogs so it’s great to host during the week for extra socializing. I’m typically available on weekends as long as I’m not heading out of town. My dog loves playing with other dogs and loves trips to the park, but he is also in his old man era and will get lazy after a long walk which brings a good balance of chill time and being active.
“Anna was wonderful in taking my dog, Haley, for walks when I was laid up with an issue with my foot. Anna let me know when she was on the way over, very on time, super nice upon meeting, great with introducing to my dog Haley and engaging with Haley, very sweet. I so appreciated Anna's help and would definitely reach out to Anna again when I need help.”

“Julia was absolutely wonderful with our 9 yr old Shar Pei. I contacted her 3 days before I needed someone and she responded immediately. She was professional, trustworthy and I could tell she loved our dog. She even put 2 heavy furniture boxes in our garage for us. We would be happy to have her watch our dog again anytime!”

“Olivia was so great! She walked my high energy medium sized dog and small little wimpy dog in terrible weather. She was easy to communicate with, arrived on time, and my dogs seemed super happy. Highly recommend for your walking needs!”
“Kim is incredible! She was a fantastic pet sitter/dog walker/and adventurer with my two dogs while my family was vacationing in the area. She was kind, flexible and really helped ensure that the dogs were well taken care of, fed, swam, hiked and they absolutely loved her. I'd recommend Kim to anyone looking for pet care!”

“Judy was amazing with our dog, Maple, while we were visiting up in Tahoe! We wanted to make sure our young adolescent pup was given a long walk midday while my partner and I were out skiing for the day. Needless to say, we could tell Maple was satisfied because we when we returned she woke from a nap as if she was resting from a good day with Judy. Judy was very communicative, responsive and kept us up to date on the progress of her walk with our Maple!”

She really took the time to listen to my concerns about my older dog, Papaya and she was even willing to take an initial walk with me so I could show her the walk routine of my older dog! Thanks Haley!”

“Adam is very reliable and communicative. He was very patient with my dog even when the dog was shy and unsure of him during my time away and ultimately made him feel comfortable and safe. Would work with him again!”

I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.
About: I have taken dog training classes at the local animal shelter. I offer puppies plenty of time for teething tug-of-war and have tons of patience with the geriatric slow walkers. I work part time, close to home, which offers plenty of time for dog walking, drop ins and over night care. My hours are flexible. I would keep your dog safe on a leash and have a large crate if that would help them feel secure in a different environment.

I’m a stay-at-home Mom. Kids are homeschooled so we are always around. Can take your dog outside and for walks throughout the day.

“April and Rachel have been great - from the initial meet up and through the pups stay, lots of photos and communication. The pups came back happy and relaxed 💕 Already booked their next stay 👍”

“Megan and her family took such good care of my pup, they were patient and caring as it takes some time for Ollie to warm up to new environments. I received pictures and communication during his 7 day stay. I highly recommend booking, it’s such a relief knowing your pup is well cared for while you’re gone, thanks so much!!”

“Gina was great! She kept me updated all throughout Deans stay, and when I got there to pick him up he was clearly comfortable and safe. It gave me such relief knowing he loved and well cared for while I was away.”
