About: Experienced dog owner and sitter. Studied dog psychology to become a good dog parent. Had two female spaniels who passed earlier this year. We used to compete in dog frisbee and hunt. Also have experience working in a grooming salon, as well as walking and boarding various size dogs - from labs and German shepherds to Jack Russel terriers and mini Aussies. Additionally at no cost I can provide basic behavioural training and teach new tricks - I love to communicate with dogs of any breed and move in one rhythm with them. And I really feel their needs and able to connect with dogs of all ages. I can board puppies and older dogs, take them for a walk someplace new and play ball or frisbee. But safety and well-being is my main focus and if your dog doesn't want too much activity, I can provide a more mellow experience, too. Available on weekdays and weekends but please make appointments at least 2 days in advance. I would love to meet your furry friend! I'm working remotely from home part-time, so have lots of time to spend with doggies. I'm available both weekends and weekdays and rarely leave home for more than a couple hours, so your dog won't be alone for too long. I have a fenced backyard and deck, and two mellow spaniels to keep your doggo company. I also have a crate where your pet can rest if needed.

About: Hi! My name is Nikki, I am a student at UCSC from Southern California and have a lot of experience with many different animals. Here in Santa Cruz I have a 3 year old cat named Mr. Whiskers. At home in Socal I also have a 13 year old standard poodle, a 13 year old yorkie-poo, a 5 year old miniature labradoodle, and a 1 year old cat (along with a tortoise and some other exotic pets!). I have always loved dog-sitting for my neighbors, with breeds including german shepherds, golden retrievers, labs, doodles, jack russel's, and other mixed breeds. I'd been consistently dog-sitting for 4 years until I took a break being in Santa Cruz, since my client base is in Socal, but have committed myself to caring for my own cat and my friend's pets when they are out of town. Additionally, my cat has unfortunately had to deal with some urinary issues causing him to be on a permanent urinary prescription diet and having to take meds during his flare-ups. Because of this, I completely understand the struggles of caring for a loved pet with health issues. It has allowed me to be very comfortable with administering both pill and liquid forms of medication to pets and punctual with needed times of administration. I am a full-time student so I provide drop ins before and after my classes and work around school schedule. About: Hi everyone! I’m just starting out on Rover but I’ve been a dog lover since day one. I have experience with dogs both big and small, in urban landscapes and suburban. About: My first dogs were a Boerboel and a Great Dane. Since my husband is allergic, we now focus on non-shedding dogs. and were blessed to spend 2 wonderful years with our furbaby Thando. Thando was a poodle mix and suffered from MegaE and a number of other issues that led to him spending the last 6 months of his life with a feeding tube. While caring for a special needs dog was new for us, it has been the biggest blessing in our lives. We learned to enjoy each moment - running on the beach, tube-feeding at a winery, holding our furbaby up for long periods of time against regurgitation. After Mr T’s passing, we adopted a new furbaby into our family, Fritz. He is also a poodle and potentially Maltese mix who loves all dogs and people. About 8 months later, we adopted a sister for Fritz, Cleo. Cleo was already four years old when we adopted her but she is very playful and loves to wrestle with Fritz- even though she is three times his size. They are crazy about each other and have become inseparable. We love all sizes and ages of dogs, and would be happy to take your dog running or just chilling on the couch with us. We have a small fenced yard with a sandbox that we specially built for a home-based "dog beach", we are familiar with dog-friendly hikes, parks, restaurants and beaches in the area, and we would make your dog a part of our family for their stay. We'd love to meet you and your furbaby. I am home full-time with our two dogs (9 & 11 years) and two kids when they are not in school. We go for walks in the neighborhood or on the beach. I only look after dogs in my home and we only take non-shedding dogs. They become part of our family of two adults, two kids and two dogs.

About: I’ve had dogs in my family my whole life, so I know that in addition to having the basic necessities met like food and using the bathroom, what they need most is love! I have lots of experience caring for dogs and have many regulars that I walk weekly. Some of the activities I do are going to the park, walking on the beach, and playing with them. I genuinely love dogs and promise to provide your fur babies with the best care! I’m currently working full-time, but I get off the earlier side so I am available Friday-Tuesday after 1:00pm and have full availability Wednesdays and Thursdays! In your home, I will always make sure the doors are closed so your fur babies don’t escape. I will watch your pet carefully and will leave your home just as you left it!

My Leeloo was absolutely spoiled with daily pack hikes in the redwoods and lots of puppy rumbles. Kara even helped work on her off-leash recall! She shared daily videos of their redwood romps and I picked up a very happy, very tired pup. We will definitely be booking with Kara whenever we can't bring our pups with us on trips.”
About: I’ve had dogs in my life for 30 years. I’ve been dog sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. My own dogs have graduated top of their class in puppy training school. I currently work from home, so I can arrange my schedule to make sure dogs in my care get all the love, affection, and attention they need and deserve. I have a small fenced in yard, good for small and medium dogs. My dog is friendly and even shares some toys. I can crate your dog if preferred. I am also within walking distance to a dog park, and an easy drive to dog beaches
