“I can’t recommend Sarah enough as a dog sitter. My dog, Teddy, absolutely loves staying with her—he gets genuinely excited every time he realizes he’s going back, which says everything. What I appreciate most is how incredibly detailed and consistent her updates are. Every day, she sends multiple photos and videos—Teddy eating, playing, going on walks, and even updates on how he’s doing overall. She keeps me fully informed, down to small but important details, so I never have to wonder how he’s doing. It gives me real peace of mind knowing exactly how his day is going. It’s also clear that she truly cares about the dogs she looks after. She takes Teddy on walks, to the dog park, and even on hikes, making sure he stays active and happy. On top of that, her home environment is wonderful—her two dogs and her cat are all very friendly, and Teddy gets along great with them. He’s not just being watched; he’s having a great time. Whenever Teddy stays with Sarah, I know he’s safe, well cared for, and genuinely happy. I fully trust her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“Jess was awesome! We had a change of plans last minute before the Memorial Day weekend and I was able to find Jess the day before we left. We scheduled a meet and greet the day we were leaving to give her the rundown on how to take care of our dog (Bella), 3 guinea pigs, and rabbit. She took it all in and exceeded my expectations as I was expecting a phone call or message about something but I never did. She absolutely took great care of all of our animals!”

About: I love cats and everything about them!! Out of all 8 of my fur babies 7 of them are cats! And I have one dog that thinks she’s a cat sometimes and tries to play with my cats if they let her. I’ve always been extremely big on treating your dogs/ animals right. The way you treat your animals will reflect in their behavior and nothing makes me happier than seeing my dog being so gentle and nice to my cats. She nurtured one of my kittens and they became very close it’s the sweetest thing! I recently rescued my first adult cat and take him with me wherever I go when necessary. I’m confident in my experience with both indoor and outdoor cats now because of him!

“Danielle was absolutely amazing with our cat! She sent the cutest pictures and cuddled with her all weekend-we were so happy to know our cat was in such friendly and caring hands!! Danielle was a great apartment-sitter as well and left our place very clean!”

“Rachel is SUCH an incredible cat sitter! I appreciate how she shares how Mowgli is interacting with her so much, he even laid on her chest this time and that's HUGE for him and shows how comfortable he is with her. She is so attuned and aware to him, I feel absolutely free to leave and know that he's in the best of hands. Thank you Rachel, you are INCREDIBLE!!!”

“Ana provided exceptional and reliable care for our two cats, Gimli and MoMo, while we were away. She is highly trustworthy and extremely responsible. Her communication was excellent; she sent frequent photos and updates to confirm the cats were consistently fed, cared for, and happy. We felt completely at ease knowing Ana was looking after them. We returned home to two relaxed, well-cared-for pets. We highly recommend Ana for her professional and caring service!”

About: I have taken care of cats (my own and fosters) for over two years. I understand that cats are easily stressed out by strangers coming into their homes and I do my best to give them space while making sure their needs are taken care of.

“They really went above and beyond while taking care of our kitties. I felt extremely comfortable having them check on our fur babies because they were so thorough and caring. I would happily book again!”

“Guilherme was great with our two cats, one of which needed daily liquid medication. We got prompt and frequent updates and pictures throughout the visits. Would easily recommend!”
“Caroline is amazing! She was able to fill in for an emergency sitting request and take care of my boys. They love her, and she takes great care of them, and provides great updates and pictures throughout. I fully recommend her!”

“Maria took great care of our two cats while away! She sent regular photo updates, and we returned to happy pets. Her genuine affection for animals made our time away worry-free. Highly recommended!”

About: I've an abysinnian cat at home, and also had a ragdoll and domestic short-hair. I've experience with kittens and mature cats. Don't hesistate to ask me to clean your cat's litter box or open a can of fish.

About: I spent time as a SPCA cat socializer with perfectly healthy kitties and some with significant health needs. We were expected to keep them company whether energetic kitten, disconnected and scared cat or even sick cats being treated. I’d play with the ones that wanted to play, sit with the shy ones and learn how to properly read their behavior and respond appropriately to get them more comfortable with humans. I raised my own cat who was a pretty easy going one from the get go. But my training and experience as a socializer helped me navigate ways to best support my other two kitties’ needs, and friends’ kitties’ needs more adeptly. Cat behavior is nuanced and I pride myself in looking for an animal’s signals to ensure I’m helping them be comfortable.

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter who had just relocated from San Francisco. I regularly watched a dog 3 times a week and can take up to 2 dogs at once. I've helped take care of my parents dog for 8 years since she was a puppy and I take her to the beach, for walks, to play at the dog park, and bathe her regularly. I work until 3pm so I have plenty of time in the afternoon to take pups out for walks. I love meeting new dogs and am used to high energy dogs. I am very comfortable around dogs and want your dog to be happy. I am very clean and want to be considerate of your space.
“Our puppy had such a great time with Ying! She was super attentive to all our puppy’s needs and sent lots of pictures. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. Her dog has also been a great playmate for our puppy, so they get lots of energy out too.”

“It was Coco’s first day with Edward and Rusty. He seemed to have had a great day playing with his new buddy. He was clearly very comfortable being there. I appreciate all pictures Edward sent throughout the day, and the prompt communication. I’d love to leave Coco with him more often :)”

“Silvana took incredible care of my very anxious dog. He typically has separation anxiety and takes a while to get use to a new place, but she made him feel comfortable right away. She took him on walks, took him to the park to play with another dog he felt comfortable with, and made sure I was updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. When I went to pick him up he gave her kisses goodbye :) We absolutely will re-book with Silvana. Thank you, Silvana, for taking such great care of Jackson!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care and support Hyojae provided to both Juneau and our family at a trying time. Exceptionally accommodating, engaging, and flexible to help keep our puppy occupied while we attended to our son’s health! Definitely 5⭐️+”

About: Hi, I'm Kathryn! I’m an experienced, compassionate pet sitter offering personalized care, daily dog walks, and overnight stays. I work from home full-time as a journalist, which means your pup will have constant companionship, plenty of belly rubs, and lots of love. My passion for animals runs deep—I grew up at my mom’s dog daycare, where I was immersed in dog behavior training and care from an early age. We had labs growing up, and some of my favorite memories are of taking them on long adventures in the woods. These days, my partner and I share our home with our sweet shepherd mix, Ozzy. I’ve spent the last eight years caring for dogs while I lived all over the country. This is my first time on Rover, and I’m excited to build meaningful relationships with both pets and their people. I believe pet care should be accessible—not overpriced—so I strive to offer affordable, high-quality service that gives you peace of mind. We live in a beautiful, pet-friendly apartment with a secure back courtyard and quick access to local parks for playtime and walks. Your pet will be treated like family—safe, loved, and happy while you're away. For boarding and daycare requests, I will be joined by my own dog Ozzy. If your dog prefers not to be around a young dog, then it may not be a fit. Looking forward to connecting! As a journalist who works from home, I’m lucky to have a flexible schedule—and I love using it to give animals the attention, care, and fun they deserve. With tenderness, love, and dedicated attention, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable environment tailored to your pet’s unique needs. I can’t wait to meet your wonderful companion and make them feel right at home!
About: I love taking care of dogs! I've grown up with dogs my whole life (1 Maltipoo, 2 Shih-Tzus, 1 Aussie Doodle, and 1 Poodle), each of which has had a distinct personality. I also have experience dog-sitting for larger dogs in the area, including Golden Retrievers and Black Labs. My family's current pets are quite needy, so I am used to frequent walking and particular routines. However, I'm also happy with a more relaxed dog. Over the summer, I will be working about 5 hrs/week in person and 10 hrs/week remotely. I am very flexible for dog walking, including in the morning and the evening. I live in a 2BR/2BA apartment building on Stanford campus. The building is very new. It is surrounded by several fields and playgrounds, so there is plenty of space for dogs to be walked. I have no personal pets.
“Stacey has been incredible with our little dog Coco. She has been extremely communicative and sent us lots of pictures during our time away. Coco loved her time hanging out with Stacey’s dogs and having lots of play time. Thank you so much Stacey, we’ll definitely be booking again!”

About: I grew up with the sweetest Shih Tzu in the world named Dak (a small computer chip). And I think my style of pet care came from taking care of him. I was attentive and gave him lots of love. He loved driving in the car with me, actually :) I have been pet sitting for friends and on other platforms for over 5 years in their homes. And I took care of a neighbor's bird way back in high school. For the most part I have specialized in cats and small to medium dogs. I also have a calm spirit that many animals are drawn to. So we can chill together for a long time. In addition, I'm responsible and respectful, caring and considerate not only for pets but also for owner's homes. I am able to communicate well and clearly and can problem solve to resolve any situation which might arise. In short, I have the know-how to be able to feed, entertain, clean up after, and love cats and dogs and their living spaces. And I can communicate well to their parents to keep them safe and happy while mom and dads are away. I currently work part-time teaching English online. I also am writing my doctoral dissertation. This means I am home a lot and very happy to spend lots of time with pets, even at my desk with me or curled up on the sofa. I strictly watch pets in their own homes. Firstly, because I am missionary and I've been staying temporarily in my parents house in North Carolina and now here with my brother in Palo Alto. Secondly, because I think pets are much happier if they can stay in their own homes and in familiar surroundings.
“Jesse & Kimmy did a great job taking care of our high-energy pup, Bagel. They provided many photos throughout the day and sent us home with some adorable polaroids of him. They’re very kind and reliable - we felt very safe leaving our pup with them. Highly recommend!”

“Angela and Kangwoong were amazing! They walked and played fetch with our dog and ensured that she felt comfortable in their home. We also received photos throughout the day.”

About: I had 3 small dogs when I was younger and they passed away due to old. I currently have two dogs, one is pit bull and husky mixed and a puppy Yorkie tierrier. Both of them are super high energy. Love to play with them, they love walking, to the beach, to the park and love taking bath! I’ve taken care of my friend’s dogs as well. I work as a paraprofessional at an elementary school. I will have free time during the summer to take your dog to walk, sitting, and boarding. I have a fenced backyard, I have two dogs. One dog is outside and one dog is inside the house. My small dog can play with your fur baby company.

“Thank you Kimberly for taking care of Basil! Kimberly was quick to respond, asked questions and sent lots of updates. Basil enjoyed her walks with Kimberly and I appreciated peace of mind knowing that my dog was being tended to while I was at work.”

About: I live with my wife, baby girl, cat, and dog in Palo Alto. At home, I am the CPO (chief poop officer). I've experience with administering flea medicine for cats and dogs. I make sure the pets have food and water. I've trained my current and past dogs (sit, stay, go home, come, leave it, look at me, and other commands). I am responsible and clean up after the animals whether it's poop or vomit. Furry animals make me happy. I'm extroverted, so I am also social and easy to communicate with. I can care for your pet as long as I'm available. I've a flexible work schedule, and am on holiday for two weeks starting the week of Christmas. I have a cat and dog that likes to run out of the door, so I am careful when going in and out of the house. I'd do the same for you. I make sure they've food and water. If the dog goes on a hike where there are tall grass, then I'd check for ticks after the walk and use a tweezer to remove the tick if needed. If the cat or dog has its tail between its legs, then I'd approach slowly and walk around them to not make them too uncomfortable. If the cat's tail is up and approaches, then I give him/her a scratch on the head or chin. If dog's tail is wagging, then I'd definitely pet him/her. If the pet has dietary restrictions, then I will follow the owner's dietary guideline.
“Kristal was great!! Very attentive with Ernie! Sent lots of pictures throughout the day letting me know she was having a great time. Even helped with potty training and other commands!”

“Yayyyy Bruno and I are SO happy to have found Olga! Bruno was at ease right when we got there, hung out with the dogs, went on walks and even explored her yard on his own. Olga cares for your pups like they're her own. My little anxious Bruno will be cozying up to her and the pups in no time!”

“Best sitter we've ever encountered for our dog with many needs for her happiness. Well she came home so happy and better yet tired from all the walks which takes a lot. He kept sending us photos of her so we knew she was having a great time. He really understood our dog for not only the needs but her wants. So lucky to have found him.”

“Yu Chen is such a great friend for our pet Shadow. We are so lucky that we found Yu Chen. While we were away, she took shadow out for a long walk everyday for more than we agreed. She left me notes everyday regarding her time with Shadow. It was such a relief to know that our dog is in good hands. She is truly a dog lover! Don’t hesitate to let her take care of your paws. I will always recommend Yu Chen. Hope to see Yu Chen again soon.”

About: I’m a local elementary school teacher who loves spending time with animals. During the school year, I teach full-time, and outside of the classroom I enjoy caring for pets in my community. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Growing up, I helped walk and care for our family dogs, and as an adult I’ve continued dog walking and pet sitting both here in California and while living in the Boston area. I’m also an experienced cat owner with three cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for cats with all kinds of personalities. One of my cats had significant behavioral challenges, which led me to work with an animal behaviorist and spend countless hours learning about feline behavior. Through patience, positive reinforcement, and clicker training, I taught him tricks and helped him become much more comfortable around people. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll care for them with patience, kindness, and attention to their individual needs. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away—and to give you peace of mind through reliable care and regular updates.
“Cameron took great care of Mabel and Milton! Cameron is really easy to work with - he came on time and kept us updated at all times. We will definitely have him care for our dogs in the future and we recommend him to others!”

About: Reliable, active, and experienced dog walker! 8 years of experience walking a variety of dogs in my local area and care for dogs of different sizes. This has given me firsthand experience with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. As a marathon runner, I'm comfortable walking or running for extended periods of time. If your dog enjoys a more active lifestyle, I'd be happy to take them on a run or provide a longer walk to help them get the exercise they need. I treat every dog like they're my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I have a flexible schedule and am available whenever pet care is needed, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Whether your dog needs a daily walk or a last minute walk, I'm happy to work with your schedule and provide reliable, consistent care. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. I follow each owner's instructions carefully, provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and ensure your pet receives the responsible, reliable care they deserve while you're away.
About: I've been a large dog owner for most of my life, but I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Ready to meet the unique needs of every pup, and I come with some basic pet training experience. While I'm here for the summer (May-July), I have complete flexibility throughout the week and weekend. I have no qualms taking them out early in the morning or later at night (around 7AM-10PM depending on the location). Although I'm based in Palo Alto, I am more than willing to cycle or drive to locations throughout the peninsula! I'm most experienced offering the basic services of walks (usually several a day, can range anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the needs of the dog), feeding, and playing in the yard or at the dog park. I'm also comfortable with basic training, washing, and watching them overnight. While I wouldn't be able to bring any dogs to my own home, I am more than happy to house sit and stay with them overnight.

“My malinois warmed up to Meg immediately. I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my dog since he’s 95 pounds and can be prone to hypervigilance, but Meg is calm, knowledgeable, and intuitive with animals. I feel totally comfortable with her.”

“We have an older dog who needs to be lifted in the car to get to the park. Julie did a great job of helping her, and my other dog, get their walk while I was out of town.”
“Sara was available at the very last minute during the holidays when my mother was unable to walk our dog. She was extremely reliable and showed up every day for 10 days, with excellent communication. Our dog was happy!”

“Emma provided excellent daily dog walking services for a week over the holidays for our two dogs. Emma was friendly and communicated well in a timely manner. She was responsible and always on time. I especially liked the daily pictures of our smilin’ dogs! I highly recommend Emma for the care of your pets.”

“Anastasii is fabulous with our dogs! She is very punctual and reliable. We trust her very much to care for our two dogs and she always goes above and beyond.”

About: Over the years I’ve noticed that I can’t think of a single bad experience that I’ve had with cats/dogs. Pretty much every single animal I have crossed paths with has grown comfortable with me if not immediately. I think maybe it’s the way I approach animals, im always talking to them like they’re humans for some reason and it almost seems like they can understand me. And I like to tell myself I can understand them and their silent expressions. This is what draws me to animals so much. That silent understanding and comfort is what makes me love animals so much. I’m currently on summer break while working 2 part time jobs, one is a weekend job only at a pottery shop called color me mine and on top of that I work as an assistant for a home stager! My schedule with her isn’t consistent so I’m looking for one more flexible job. Unfortunately I’m living in a pretty small studio while I study interior design. Because of that I had to leave my pets at home and I decided to rescue an indoor cat in need of a safe home. I got him a window perch which he loves to watch cats and birds on. And every day I make sure to leave my front door open for him so he can watch from the screen with some fresh air. I’ve actually tried to get him outdoors a few times on a harness so he could get familiar with the area but since it’s kind of a busy area the sounds were freaking him out. He loves being pet and snuggling up under my blanket so I give him as much affection as I can throughout the day even if that means I go through endless amounts of lint rollers to get all his hair off of me!! I love taking dogs on walks that’s the only thing I wish cats were more comfortable doing haha!

I am able to walk your fur babies in the morning and in the evening. I have experience with medication and injections for whom are needed. I have starting training experience and hope to learn more while watching my fur child Ruffles grow and enjoy life. It is true that Each pet has his/her own characteristics, so I try to find way to connect and gain there trust in anyway I can. I understand all pets have different characteristics and I will do everything possible to get to know your pet. I understood pets are a huge part of our familyand that is how they will be treated with love, understanding and compassion. Pets are truly men's best friend, and one that is always there to make our life so much exciting and fun. I can say at the moment I am able to fit any pet into mine and my own pet’s routine! Ruffles gets along with children , any size 🐶 dog and adults! I am trying to board only one pet at a time with my own pet at home just to be in the safer side. However, once your pet is at my home, he or she becomes part of the family instantly. They are allowed on top of furniture. My Ruffles is a non-caged dog but I do own a cage.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life (at one point we had 5 at time!) love taking them for long walks, teaching them new tricks like weave (and handstand!), and engaging their minds with agility. My senior dog recently passed and while I am not ready to get a new dog just yet, I miss having a dog so want to occasionally dog sit to help others out with their dogs before getting another dog of my own. I work full time but occasionally work from home. For this reason, Thursday to Sunday or Monday is best for me. I am active and love going on walks, hikes, and runs in and around the beautiful Portola Valley neighborhood. I love to hang on the couch and snuggle in the evenings! Dogs (non shedding) allowed on the bed :) My large backyard is fenced. My husband Dave and I often are asked by friends to help train their dogs because we love to help and are good at it! :)
“Pouneh was absolutely wonderful with our dog! He was so excited to see her and was treated so well the whole weekend he stayed with her! I really appreciated the excellent and prompt communication too!”

“When I met Jae on the meet & greet I knew she was a very conscientious dog owner and Bella would be in good hands. She took great care of her and she was open to taking Bella without a lot of prior notice. She sent photos and kept me informed on how Bella was getting along. I would not hesitate to leave Bella again with Jae.”
