“Ying provided a fantastic boarding experience for 16 days for my dog. She took my dog for at least two walks per day, played fetch with her every day, and also took her on a longer hike. She sent me extensive updates three times per day with numerous photos and videos. The detailed information allowed me to see that my dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Ying’s dog Charlie is also incredibly gentle and calm, and although my dog is often anxious around other dogs, they became great friends. While I was away, my dog also developed some irritation in her paws, likely due to pre-existing allergies. Ying informed me promptly and treated the problem effectively per my instructions, and her paws were completely healed by the time I returned to pick her up. I highly recommend Ying for boarding and I won’t hesitate to use her again the next time I travel.”

“Margaret is probably the best dog sitter we’ve ever worked with. Let me give some context: our utterly cute dog was adopted in 2020 (pandemic dog) with already deep fear and trauma. We think something happened when she was a puppy that caused deep fear such as abuse or some sort of trauma. Basically, she was afraid of everything and utterly shy. We worked with multiple trainers for almost two years and finally got her to a good place. We learned with time and patience she gets comfortable with strangers and once you’re in her pack. You are there for life. She loves playing with dogs but dog parks would get complicated because other dogs sometimes would teach bad habits or become aggressive (trainers also mentioned things can escalate and certain owners have no control). We also learned she is scared of certain breeds and afraid of cats. But she has an incredible memory and is the smartest dog we’ve ever had. However, most people dog kennels, individuals have zero experience and patience. Given her memory, there are certain vets or dog daycares she will cry and try running away from if we are walking by. The true test of dog unhappiness. Fast forward to 2023, we’ve built trust and loyalty with our baby but the problem is she is still afraid of strangers and the unknown. She is al highly protective of her territory and will start barking (think a stranger walking up to me or a stranger entering our home). We’ve learned methods to make her feel safe and comfortable and ways strangers should approach. Basically it’s hard to find a dog sitter for her than the average dog. Most places are money machines and do not give her the time making her regress. Margaret is beyond words incredible. She knows how to work with all types of dogs including very shy dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges. She has ample experience and genuine care for animals. Also our dog is highly fearful of the breeds: huskies and German shepherds. Margaret has both and was able to get our dog comfortable going out on runs and walks with them. When we came to pick her up she was sad to go and saying bye to both Margaret, her partner John (another amazing human) and all their dogs. She loved all of them from Luma the chihuahua mix that made ours more social to the Willis and Jackson that made her confident to even Jackson who made her feel safe and like a queen. They even were flirting hahaha Never have we left our dog and received so many pictures and saw her so happy. She did not even want to leave when we picked her up and learned new commands in just one week like paw. Our dog even cried while we drove away and loved her new pack. Margaret said she fit right in. If Margaret and John open a doggie daycare, our pup would be there every day because we have never seen her so social and happy while remaining in a safe and controlled space. She was loved, fed like crazy (the way to her heart) but did not gain weight because of all the exercise, games and activities provided by this wonderful couple. Margaret is also an incredible trainer and has so much patience and love. I felt so easy on our holidays with my baby there, did not even think twice. We are beyond proud and since that week with Margaret she is a different dog. Sweeter, calmer and just more confident and trusting. Please open a daycare that this area so desperately needs. One thing- I recognize the price is expensive this was our biggest challenge but they are truly worth it!!”

We have five strange cats, each with their own issues. One has three legs and is very anxious and afraid of everything, another one with severe separation anxiety and usually poops all over our kid's bed as a form of punishment, another cat on Prozac who will eat the three-legged cat if not closely watched, another semi-feral cat, and one perfect angel cat. I have been a parent to Wells, a very high-energy Vizsla, for 5 years now. We did all our training ourselves and successfully trained a great loose-leash walker. About: I had 3 small dogs when I was younger and they passed away due to old. I currently have two dogs, one is pit bull and husky mixed and a puppy Yorkie tierrier. With one night of notice, Yee Ping arranged to come to our apartment for a doggy day care service, even though she had never met our dog. She let herself in with a key and spent two hours with our dog, including a 40-minute walk on a rainy day. She gave him his treats and even sent us pictures. When we got home that evening, it was clear our dog was well-exercised, calm, and not filled with the usual pent up energy he can be when we're away for 8+ hours (that day it was 12+). About: I’m a student looking to help out with some local pet care and housesitting while i’m home for the summer. I’m vegan, I live alone, and I genuinely love animals and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule so I'm more than happy to keep your pets company, stick to their regular routines, daily walks, and make sure everything is taken care of. About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up my family always had dogs and I was trusted at a young age to feed, walk, and otherwise care for them (which included administering medication to dogs who were not always the most cooperative). I have also been riding horses competitively for over 20 years and was a member of the University of Georgia Division I Equestrian Team. Although I was surrounded by horses during my time in college, I desperately missed my family dogs and as a result started house and pet sitting for people in the Athens area. My junior year my roommate got a dog and I frequently chipped in to help with his care when she was out of town or had a particularly hectic schedule. After college I attended law school in Washington, DC where I continued to house and pet sit for my friends, other residents in my apartment building, and others in the community. I graduated from law school in May 2025 and have since moved back to the Bay Area (I grew up in Menlo Park) as I am in between professional opportunities. I have found that I have some extra time on my hands and so I thought I would get back to house and pet sitting, this time specifically through Rover. In the past I have always gotten clients through word of mouth, which is why my extensive experience is not necessarily reflected on my Rover profile. At this time I am house and pet sitting on a part time basis, but I have a lot of flexibility as most of my other daily commitments can be easily fulfilled from any location; this means that if you have a pet that prefers constant company I can easily work from your home so your pet can get everything they need. I feel comfortable administering medications and am used to feeding animals with more complicated diets/food regimes. I have experience caring for animals of all ages. I am responsible, trustworthy, communicative, detail oriented, and most importantly love animals, which means that you can be worry free while your pet is in my hands. I am also very neat and conscientious, so if I am staying at your home I will take very good care of your space and your plants (if necessary). At the moment I am house and pet sitting part time, but my schedule is quite flexible so I have quite a lot of availability. I can drop in for walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, cat litter cleanings, etc basically every day of the week any time before 7:00 pm. My one schedule restriction is a weekly appointment on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:00. I update my availability often and will make sure that any other schedule restrictions that come up are reflected on there for your convenience. When it comes to house and pet sitting that involves me staying at your home, I am available for that any day of the week. I can complete most of my other professional commitments (Monday - Friday) remotely from your home, so your pet would not have to be alone all day while I went to work. I am unfortunately not able to bring your pet to my home at this time, so all care would occur at (or around in the case of walking) your home. I will follow whatever instructions you provide regarding the care of your pet. I feel comfortable administering medication, managing complicated diets, and dealing with picky eaters (my dog is a very picky eater and I have learned a lot of tactics that work well for him and other dogs I have cared for). If your pet uses any sort of automatic feeder, litter box, etc I am a fast learner and feel confident that I would be able to work with most devices of this sort. I likely would generally walk your pet around your neighborhood, but if time permits and that is something you would like/feel comfortable with I am happy to take your pet to a local dog park, park, hike, etc. My dog loves playing with frisbees and balls, so if that is something your pet enjoys I would be more than happy to do that as well.

“Ying provided a fantastic boarding experience for 16 days for my dog. She took my dog for at least two walks per day, played fetch with her every day, and also took her on a longer hike. She sent me extensive updates three times per day with numerous photos and videos. The detailed information allowed me to see that my dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Ying’s dog Charlie is also incredibly gentle and calm, and although my dog is often anxious around other dogs, they became great friends. While I was away, my dog also developed some irritation in her paws, likely due to pre-existing allergies. Ying informed me promptly and treated the problem effectively per my instructions, and her paws were completely healed by the time I returned to pick her up. I highly recommend Ying for boarding and I won’t hesitate to use her again the next time I travel.”
“Margaret is probably the best dog sitter we’ve ever worked with. Let me give some context: our utterly cute dog was adopted in 2020 (pandemic dog) with already deep fear and trauma. We think something happened when she was a puppy that caused deep fear such as abuse or some sort of trauma. Basically, she was afraid of everything and utterly shy. We worked with multiple trainers for almost two years and finally got her to a good place. We learned with time and patience she gets comfortable with strangers and once you’re in her pack. You are there for life. She loves playing with dogs but dog parks would get complicated because other dogs sometimes would teach bad habits or become aggressive (trainers also mentioned things can escalate and certain owners have no control). We also learned she is scared of certain breeds and afraid of cats. But she has an incredible memory and is the smartest dog we’ve ever had. However, most people dog kennels, individuals have zero experience and patience. Given her memory, there are certain vets or dog daycares she will cry and try running away from if we are walking by. The true test of dog unhappiness. Fast forward to 2023, we’ve built trust and loyalty with our baby but the problem is she is still afraid of strangers and the unknown. She is al highly protective of her territory and will start barking (think a stranger walking up to me or a stranger entering our home). We’ve learned methods to make her feel safe and comfortable and ways strangers should approach. Basically it’s hard to find a dog sitter for her than the average dog. Most places are money machines and do not give her the time making her regress. Margaret is beyond words incredible. She knows how to work with all types of dogs including very shy dogs and dogs with behavioral challenges. She has ample experience and genuine care for animals. Also our dog is highly fearful of the breeds: huskies and German shepherds. Margaret has both and was able to get our dog comfortable going out on runs and walks with them. When we came to pick her up she was sad to go and saying bye to both Margaret, her partner John (another amazing human) and all their dogs. She loved all of them from Luma the chihuahua mix that made ours more social to the Willis and Jackson that made her confident to even Jackson who made her feel safe and like a queen. They even were flirting hahaha Never have we left our dog and received so many pictures and saw her so happy. She did not even want to leave when we picked her up and learned new commands in just one week like paw. Our dog even cried while we drove away and loved her new pack. Margaret said she fit right in. If Margaret and John open a doggie daycare, our pup would be there every day because we have never seen her so social and happy while remaining in a safe and controlled space. She was loved, fed like crazy (the way to her heart) but did not gain weight because of all the exercise, games and activities provided by this wonderful couple. Margaret is also an incredible trainer and has so much patience and love. I felt so easy on our holidays with my baby there, did not even think twice. We are beyond proud and since that week with Margaret she is a different dog. Sweeter, calmer and just more confident and trusting. Please open a daycare that this area so desperately needs. One thing- I recognize the price is expensive this was our biggest challenge but they are truly worth it!!”
