About: I've had dogs my whole life ranging from a 105 pound Lab to a 9 pound Chihuahua. Family friends and acquaintances have relied on me time and time again to house sit and watch their dogs/cats. As a college student, I like to keep a structured schedule, making it easy to incorporate your pet's care into my daily routine. I have set blocks of time in the mornings, between classes, and in the evenings that I dedicate to feeding, walks, and check-ins. On weekends and lighter class days, I’m able to spend extra time on longer walks, playtime, or sitting stays. I stay organized and plan ahead, so pets always get consistent attention, exercise, and care. I prefer caring for pets in their own home because it keeps them comfortable, relaxed, and in a familiar routine. About: Your pup will be enjoying a spacious home with the accompaniment of a hot dog! We are able to sit for other animals as well: hamsters, rabbits, reptiles, even fish. We have a fenced yard in the back as well as comfortable carpeting for your pup to scratch its ears. We welcome pets on weekends or when you go on vacation! “I cannot say enough good things about Steve and Erika, and the loving care they provide to my dogs. Several years ago, I had a senior dog (Luna) with mobility issues and medical needs. Especially towards the end of her life, she was delicate and it was difficult to find people willing to board her. Erika was amazing with Luna. She made her a little senior dog apartment area in her living room, where she could be near the family and other dogs, but was protected from the rambunctiousness of younger dogs. She hand fed her food and cooked special meals for her. She gave her all her medications without difficulty and would sit with her and encourage her to eat and drink. Erika and Steve let her out in the middle of the night when her old lady dog bladder needed to go. I didn't travel much in the last year of Luna's life because I didn't want to be away from her, but when I did, I always knew Erika would take amazing care of her and love on her like one of her own dogs. I still watch and cherish the videos she sent me of Luna during her overnight stays. When we got Freya, our pandemic family addition, it was no question of reaching out to Erika again. Freya was a rescue dog, so had some socialization issues in the beginning when we first got her. Taking her to Erika's to board during the day when we are both at work has been transformative. Freya is now a happy, social dog, especially with other dogs. We jokingly refer to Erika as Freya's Nana (Steve is obviously Pop). Every time we go to drop her off, she can't wait to go inside and play with her dog friends. We trust Erika and Steve 100% with our dogs. I recommend them at the highest level, without reservation.”

About: I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could! I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks. I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.

About: I've grown up around dogs all my life and have been petsitting since I was 18 years old. I am familiar and comfortable with the routine that comes with caring, exercising, and loving all different types of dogs. I currently have a small network of clients who have trusted me with their pets for 7+ years. I am typically an early riser and love morning walks to start the day. “My dog Ozzy is a senior dog that requires specific care and Shao made sure to accommodate perfectly! Ozzy gets little panic attacks when alone for too long sometimes and at times requires medication. She used her intuition and gave him his anxiety pill because she felt that he had asthma like symptoms and was restless. When I came home he was and snoring away peacefully. She fed, walked, and made sure to even put his shoes on for the rain even though it’s a bit tricky to figure out how to put them on! I look forward to having her take care of Ozzy again in the future, def recommend if you have a senior dog or any dog for that matter! 10/10.”
