“Tammy was great, she has a nice pet friendly home, with a dog appropriate backyard. Fenced, grass, shade, room to walk around and sniff. We interviewed three the day we met Tammy. I was sure from the first ten minutes she would be our choice. Her own dog was sweet and calm and adorable. She had a nice personality, answered all our questions and we just felt comfortable in her home. We will be using her again. You can't go wrong with leaving you dog with Tammy. Thanks for taking care of our child. I mean dog, Tessa.”

“It was my first time sending Benji with a stranger annd for ann overnight stay! Heather made it extremely comfortable and seamless! She sent periodic pictures throughout his stay and constantly reassured me with updates. She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and how to provide expert care to them! I would highly recommend Heather and will be utilizing her for future sittings! Thank you Heather 🩷”

“Five star +++ experience. I almost hate to leave a review because we want them all to ourselves! Lori & Frank treated my dogs like their own — they showered them with love and attention and took exceptional care of them. They sent adorable pictures and kept me updated (without being annoying about it) while I was out of the country for 9 days. They have a lovely cozy dog-friendly home, and a very nice fully fenced yard. They are both super kind dog lovers and also responsible adults so you can feel comfortable leaving your beloved pooch or pooches in their care. Just the best.”

“Jill was incredible! She saved us last minute with a cancelled sitter and kept Reba for an additional 10 days. Reba loved her and Pablo. When we left her bed at Jill’s apartment, Jill offered to bring it across town for us. Reba was SO excited to see her when she dropped it off. We would absolutely recommend Jill!”

“Daisy was so great with our dog! She was flexible with pick up and drop off times, went on a walk with our dog before her stay, and sent us daily photos of our dogs playing together. She was really easy going, which is probably why our dog loved her so much.”

“Taylor took good care of my dog, will be glad to use him again! I am particularly grateful for his flexibility in making arrangements, it made travel stresses much easier.”

“Jennifer took amazing care of our pup Koda! We had a last minute need for a new sitter over the holidays and Jennifer was truly a life-saver! She sent many photos and updates of our pup while we were away and he was so well taken care of by her, and he came home happy and healthy. Would highly recommend Jennifer - thank you!”

“Lillie and her family were so kind and welcoming to my pup. She sent lots of pics while we were away and was very communicative around how he was doing. She seemed genuinely affectionate with him too so I know he was not short on receiving love. Super thankful for her care ❤️”

“Derek and Stella were communicative and super easy to coordinate with. They took great care of my pup and I’d happily book with them again in the future!”

“Jesse was incredible with my pup! He was so flexible to meet us at a nearby park where my dog was most comfortable. He was so patient to learn about her personality and needs. He kindly did not book other dogs while my dog was staying with him as I had requested. My dog has a decent amount of energy, and I was so happy that Jesse would take her running and hiking. She had the best time, I knew she was in good hands, and I would absolutely book Jesse again.”

“Deborah was fantastic! She was nice enough to accommodate us same day and could not have been nicer. We could tell instantly when we arrived that she was going to take great care of our dog Otto. She took him on walks, took him to the beach, sent lots of great photos, and even bought him some pup cups! Her children were also absolutely lovely and obviously made Otto feel comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend using Deborah services! You cannot go wrong!”

“Wonderful sitter! Took great care of Scout and kept me updated with photos/videos. Scout went on fun hikes and looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve worked with many different animals, including cats, dogs, birds, hamsters. I love working and caring for them. Patience is needed to make your furry friends feel comfortable. I’ve worked with many large dog breeds, which include malamutes, German shepherds, pitbulls and even Akita’s. I’m currently work during the day so I am free most evenings Sunday through Thursday. I have more availability on Fridays and Saturdays during the day. I make sure the pets are in safe areas for them so that they don’t get into anything that isn’t safe. I make sure to give them space but follow them just in case. I want them feel comfortable in their space.

“My crew absolutely loved Sharon and her positive energy. The photos she sent were pronominal, the communication was great. We will be hiring her again. Alsó appreciated her attention to detail when learning all the different routines and behavior patterns with my little ones. Thank you.”

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated animal lover with two cats of my own, and I absolutely adore caring for pets of all kinds. Whether you have energetic dogs that need daily walks and playtime, independent kitties who want some extra snuggles, or any other furry (or scaly!) friends, I’m experienced and confident giving them the attentive, affectionate care they deserve. While you’re away, I’ll keep your pets happy and comfortable in their familiar environment, stick to their normal routines, provide plenty of love and exercise, and make sure your home stays safe and tidy. You can relax knowing your beloved companions are in trustworthy, caring hands! I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m highly available for drop-ins, overnight stays, and house sitting whenever you need me. Your pets will always receive prompt and attentive care! I prioritize your pets’ safety and well-being above all else. In your home, I follow your exact instructions and routines to the letter — from feeding schedules and medication to favorite toys and walk routes. I’m a responsible, non-smoker with a clean background, and I treat your space with the same care as my own.

“This was Kat's first time sitting for our kitten Peanut, and she exceeded our expectations across the board. Communication was excellent — she shared regular updates and sent us genuinely fun photos that we loved getting throughout the trip. When we hit an unexpected schedule change, Kat was completely accommodating and made it a non-issue. The house was just as clean as we left it. She followed everything we asked, from the litter box routine to stripping the bed before we got back. Most importantly, Peanut was visibly happy and well-adjusted when we returned — you can always tell when a sitter has actually engaged with your pet, and she clearly had. Peanut was so comfortable with Kat that we were able to fully relax and enjoy our vacation. We will absolutely have her sit for Peanut again. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve taken care of cats for neighbors, friends, and family for several years, and I also have a cat of my own who I love dearly. Because of that, I understand how important it is for cats to feel safe and comfortable in their own space. I’m experienced with feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playtime, and being patient with shy or independent cats while their owners are away.

“I couldn’t be happier with the care our two cats received! From the very first visit, it was clear that Abby has a genuine love for animals. Abby kept us updated with photos and notes, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and professional pet sitting. We have worked with Abby a few times this year and will absolutely be booking again! 🐾💛”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, fish (both saltwater and freshwater), and small mammals. As a teenager, I worked at a local kennel, gaining valuable experience with feeding routines, cleaning, and handling animals of all temperaments. I’ve also trained my own dogs, earning several first-place ribbons in competitions. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely passionate about animal care—whether it’s a walk around the block or providing loving companionship while you’re away.
About: Hi! We’re Christina & Zach—lifelong animal lovers with 40+ years of combined experience. I grew up on a farm where my mom bred Newfoundlands & Great Pyrenees, so caring for dogs has always been second nature. Over the years, I’ve had German Shepherds, an Alaskan Malamute, Boxer, Rottweiler, Pomeranian, Samoyed and mixed breeds. Zach grew up with a horse and has had Black Labs, German Shepherds, Peekapoos, Pitbulls, Golden Retrievers and Boxers—he’s known as the “dog whisperer” among friends and family. OUR HOME & CARE: We both work from home as Creative Directors & Designers, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be left alone. We provide a calm, attentive environment with long daily walks (AM + PM), playtime and a fenced backyard. We’re happy to follow your dog’s routine, preferences and any special instructions to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. We also have experience working with animals in therapeutic settings (horses and dogs), which informs our calm, intuitive approach to care. THE BAY AREA / DOG & HOUSESITTING We are currently active house and pet sitting across Marin & Sonoma counties and the East Bay. We relocated to the Bay Area in summer 2026 and are settling into the region while continuing to care for pets and homes locally. All our reviews on TrustedHousesitters (dog & housesitting app) are five stars, happy to share our profile link and reviews upon request. SCHEDULE: Flexible, with daily walks (typically 2–4 miles total or more if needed). Additional walks and care tailored to your dog’s needs. We work from home for ourselves. EXPECTATIONS: I’m an interior designer and take great pride in maintaining a beautiful home. I’m on Rover for the love of dogs—not for income—so I’m selective to protect my space. All dogs must arrive freshly groomed with nails trimmed prior to drop-off. Thank you for understanding. SAFETY, TRUST, ENVIRONMENT: In our home we have a fenced in backyard they can enjoy. We can accommodate their dog bed in (or out) of our bedroom or can also crate them at night — if you prefer. RATES & FIT: We may charge higher rates for larger breeds or dogs requiring additional time, energy, or care. This ensures every dog receives the attention they deserve and that we are fairly compensated.
About: I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages (I am always the go-to friend to dogs and housesit). Our family has an 8-year-old doodle named Stela, so I understand the importance of proper care and daily walks. Additionally, I have a good intuition regarding dogs and can sense if something is wrong or if we should cross the street because the owner doesn't want their dog to meet another one. As a responsible pet owner, I prioritize daily care and exercise. I ensure fresh water is available throughout the day and take regular breaks for bathroom walks. Weekly routines include walks, playing and thorough cleaning of their living spaces. I also schedule regular veterinary check-ups and maintain a consistent schedule for preventative medications. Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that I take a proactive approach when it comes to communicating with clients. As soon as I arrive at the house, I send a quick text message to let them know I'm there. Throughout the day, I also provide one or two status updates to keep them in the loop and reassured that everything is going well with their pet. And of course, I always make sure to leave the home clean and tidy. Thanks for choosing me as your pet sitter!
“Amber did an amazing job caring for my cat Moo. Although he’s very easy he requires medical food and diabetic injections, not easy! But Amber did a great job and Moo was totally relaxed when I returned home. Will definitely be contracting her for future visits.”

“Last time we went away, we used a non-professional catsitter who , due to a family emergency, was only able to visit once in 4 days. This time, we loved getting photos of our cat weaving her way between Em's legs, nuzzling her face, etc. during twice-a-day visits. We were so glad to know that our kitty was fed and watered and that she had used her litterbox and it was not filthy (the rest of the house was quite dirty and messy, and we are very sorry about that and grateful that our catsitter fulfilled her obligation despite that). Thank you so much, Emily!”

“Steven hosted my dog over for doggy day care when I received a last minute cancellation from another sitter. All worked out great. Steven had prompt communication, understood dog behavior and needs, followed through on my requests on how to care for my dog. Perfect experience, highly recommend! My dog will be back!”

“Kellie & Nate were so great to work with! They welcomed our dog in right away like he was part of the family. He got along super well with their dogs and really enjoyed their fenced yard. We really appreciated their caring attention to detail -- our dog can get an upset stomach easily, so it meant a lot that they made sure he didn't get any outside food etc. When we picked him up he was a very happy dog, which was such a good sign since he can get very anxious at times. So glad we got to meet Kellie & Nate, and hope we get to book dog-sitting with them again!”

“Robert and Sheila were fantastic! They were responsive and easy to work and took great care of our little one, Shelby. Their sweet dog Yoti was patient with our timid and over-attached dog Shelby. Yoti is friendly and welcoming……just like Robert and Sheila. Their home had a beautiful back yard where the dogs can roam together, and Rob is there with them all day while he works. We were fortunate to find them.”

“Susannah and Richard were so kind and great to work with! They took excellent care of our nervous dog during a holiday, allowing us to spend valuable time with family, which we really appreciated. They asked helpful questions to make sure they could provide the best care for our dog, and they made sure to take him out for walks and give him lots of good attention. We are so glad we met them, and would definitely recommend them to anyone!”

“The best! We were so relaxed being able to leave Toto with Lucy and her family. The meet and greet was easy and drop off and pick up was quick too. Thanks so much and I hope next time we are in town we can look for your help again!”

“Elena was so sweet, caring, and very accommodating for a last minute booking. I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with her and he had a great time on his little hike. So happy to have found a new sitter in the area 🙂”

“Franklin had so much fun and came back home happy and tired from all the activities he did with Heidi and Lars family. They send a lot of pictures and a detail information about what they did with him and what Franklin did. We are happy with them!”

“Just visiting the area and super grateful to have found Jestina so I could attend an event. She loved my energetic boxer mix as if she were her own. I appreciated the updates, pix and video, and also the warm interest she took in my own life too! (Sometimes the dogs get all the attention!) Highly recommend and will use again when in town! Thank you, Jestina!”

“Lemon had a great time during her stay! They were super communicative and easy to book with. Drop off & pick-up were also very smooth. We will definitely send Lemon here again if we’re in the area!”

“Heather & Calob are caring dog owners and obviously take this role seriously. My service dog needed a little respite from me on a Sunday afternoon. They are a terrific choice. Thanks guys! We’ll see you again!”

“I've never used a dog sitter before today and was a bit nervous because my dog tends to struggle with separation anxiety and he is currently mourning the loss of his brother. Lillie is so thoughtful and clearly has a huge heart for dogs! She welcomed me with flowers because she knew we were grieving the loss of our other dog. Lillie's energy and dog friendly environment helped put my dog at ease right away. Her dog was so friendly and was excited to have a fur pal to play with. I appreciated getting pictures and videos of my dog throughout the day. I definitely recommend Lillie!”

“Eunice took such wonderful care of my senior dog, Marshall. It's clear Eunice is an animal lover and is such a kind person. I felt so confident leaving my sweetheart with her and knew she would take great care of him. Eunice sent me multiple nice updates while she was watching my dog, including cute pictures and comments about what he was up to. It was clear she had listened so well to little things I mentioned to her that he liked and might want to do while she was there with him. I couldn't recommend Eunice more, she's lovely and clearly such an animal lover and caregiver!”

“Our pup, Finn, loved his time with Jeanette and family! She communicated well, sent us photos, and he came home happy and (thankfully) tired from playing. We will definitely book again!”

“Matt has been so wonderful with our miniature dachshund Winston! He’s having some separation anxiety and finding Matt has been a god send! Winston comes home totally happy and is clearly getting lots of love while they hang! Matt is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. Can’t recommend him enough!”

“Marisa & her lovely family are so kind to Romeo. What a perfect spot with a sweet yard. He strolled up to their house on day 2 with a wagging tail & made himself at home. Happy to have Marisa in the neughborhood!”

“Jessica is a natural with dogs! She is very thoughtful and detail oriented. I have 2 seniors with special health needs and she is very attentive and reliable. My dogs are anxious with changes to their routine but after a few days with Jessica they were happy to rush into her place when I dropped off, and tried to follow her back to her place instead of getting in the car to leave after pick up. I definitely recommend Jessica!”

About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I’m the perfect person to hang out with and cuddle your furry friend while you’re away. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I am home for most of the day and am typically not gone from the home for more than a couple hours at a time. Love having the pets sleep with me and venture out to hiking spots or day trips if that is something that suits them.

About: Does your furbaby need extra love and special attention while you are away? I am happy to help care for your furbabies with lots of love, adventures, and yes even training. I can ease both you and your furbaby’s anxiety by staying with them in their home and checking in with you regularly with photos and videos. Boarding your furbaby elsewhere is very stressful for them, especially considering the limited amount of care and physical activity. I will give them all the love and attention that they need and take them on adventures around the neighborhood (with your permission); it really helps to refocus and calm them down. Let's make sure your furbabies are as happy and comfortable as possible while you're away. I also provide basic training and understand common behavioral issues such as reactivity and separation anxiety. I love working with puppies, helping to socialize them and teach recall is critical at a young age. Be sure to tell me all about your pet's quirks and needs so that I can help. I have over 10 years of professional pet-care experience, plus I have cared for many types of animals. I took some time off from petsitting when I took on the full-time responsibility of caring for an elder dog. Our family’s Siberian Husky, Skye, was truly the best companion and adventure buddy. She lived a happy, active life for 16 years! She is dearly missed and will furever be with me in spirit. Now I am getting back into professional pet-care and I look forward to making many new friends, caring for your furbabies as tho they were my own. I work mostly remotely from home so I have the ability to stay with your furbaby in their home and give them the attention they need. When I am housesitting, I am also taking care of your home. I'll bring in the mail and water the plants. I always clean-up after myself and your pets before I leave so that you can come back home to a clean and comfy space. Just let me know whatever lil things you need help with while you're away. Happy to help!

I'll respect your space and make sure your pet feels comfortable above all. I want to communicate with you to understand your pet's needs and your rules about your space.
About: I am a person that has grown around dogs and I really care for each and every dog I have owned. I personally enjoy going out to walks and runs with dogs and having a great bond with them. I believe every dog shows a special connection to us and they are very caring so we should as well show our care for them providing our help when they need it. I have interacted with all types of dogs and even though you can have a favorite breed, every dog is important and beautiful in their way. I am definitely a dog person and would like to get to know more dogs of any type of breed and create a good bond with them regardless of their age.
“Janaki did a great job for us . She arrived on time and was able to make friends with our dog that has a bad tendency to over react when greeting newcomers, but Janaki was able to handle this well. We liked her photos on the walk especially charmed with phot of her holding two bags of poop.”

I have a fenced yard and two dogs that are friendly for your puppy dog to play with. And if they just need a walk I will make sure that that puppy will have the best sleep after.

“Daisy was so great with our dog! She was flexible with pick up and drop off times, went on a walk with our dog before her stay, and sent us daily photos of our dogs playing together. She was really easy going, which is probably why our dog loved her so much.”

“I have an anxious dog, but by the end of his stay @ Lauren’s he’s always made friends, had fun, and is less anxious. Lauren and her hubby do a great job with him.”

““Brandon was great. He was willing and able to support our family with Maui, our sweet 3 year old American Bully who can look a bit scary and anxious in new environments. She responded so well to Brandon and he shared pictures and updates. I swear Maui had a smile on her face in one of the pictures! She eve. tried to stay when it was time for pick up! So thankful for Brandon!””

“Shayla and Jake watched Juno for a few days during our wedding week. They were communicative, always on time for pick up/drop off, and we could instantly tell Juno was comfortable with them! Thank you so much for watching Juno for us!!!”

“Ross was phenomenal! He sent me pictures and updates every few hours over the several days that my dog was with him. I could see how happy my dog was with Ross, and they had lots of fun time together. I am definitely going with Ross in the future for my dog boarding needs!”

“Lily was a great dog sitter for our senior Shiba Inu! She sent some great photos everyday of their outings and it was ver clear she was well looked after. Thank you Lily! We hope to use you again in the future!”

“Our pup Koda loved his evening hanging with Corey. Corey was communicative, attentive to my dog’s needs, and super friendly and easy to work with. We hope to work with him again soon!”
