Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. This is something we have not been able to achieve in a shelter environment and seeing that transformation was nothing short of amazing. I am a writer who works from home, so I can commit to spending plenty of quality time with your pup, going on walks or hanging out at home. I’m also happily to take them to the dog park once in a while if that’s something your pup enjoys. I have a fenced yard and a dog of my own. Bhalu is a 14-year-old lab mix who will be overjoyed to meet your pup for approximate 5 minutes, after which he will lose interest and go off to do his own thing.

About: I've been looking after dogs since I was a kid. I've always had dogs, I've worked for vets and for pet supply stores, and one side of my family is littered with vets and farm type folks. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. This is something we have not been able to achieve in a shelter environment and seeing that transformation was nothing short of amazing. This experience has opened new doors for both dogs and given us real hope for their future success in foster and forever homes. Both dogs had the time of their life in Mark's care. About: I grew up with dogs and have always considered them essential members of the family. We always had large breed dogs, and while they could be a lot of work, it was worth it to be able to go through life with these amazing creatures. I’m happy to spend time with your furry friend, whatever their energy level or particularities. I am a writer who works from home, so I can commit to spending plenty of quality time with your pup, going on walks or hanging out at home. I’m also happily to take them to the dog park once in a while if that’s something your pup enjoys. I have a fenced yard and a dog of my own. Bhalu is a 14-year-old lab mix who will be overjoyed to meet your pup for approximate 5 minutes, after which he will lose interest and go off to do his own thing.

About: Offering boarding for small farm animal(s)/dogs in Humboldt , Carlotta area. Fenced in pasture plus small undercover area. Must provide your own food, I can feed/provide fresh water. Boarding price depends on animal(s)/services needed. We have chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs and a couple cows on our property, if you have a dog, it must be okay being around these animals and a small child. Please reach out with any questions. We work all day on our permaculture farm and love having an extra dog or two around. Great place for a dog to enjoy running around in nature, a retreat for pets.
