“Aaron and Nicole were flexible, communicative, and based on the photos, my dog seemed to love them! I really appreciate how they walked him on the trails near their home.”

“I had a last minute trip and Melissa took great care of my pup while I was away! She was flexible with my early drop off time and very responsive. Thank you!”

“Susan and her family were incredible! We have never left our boys with anyone who isn't family, but Susan took care of them as if they were. If you are looking for some place for your dogs to get plenty of love and attention while you are away, I absolutely recommend Susan! We have already booked our next stay with her.”

“As a first time Rover user I was very hesitant leaving my little love with a stranger! Ron put my worries at ease from the meet and greet until the end of my trip! He was phenomenal! He sent photos while I was away so I could see what everyone was up to, and one of his photos was the best picture that has ever been captured of Scout (and is now my phone background)! When my flight home was cancelled, he was very flexible and understanding! I can really tell Ron took care of Scout, because when I usually leave him with friends, he is hoarse from barking, but not with Ron! I'm beyond satisfied and will continue to book with Ron for future travels Scout can't participate in!”

“Christina was our little pup Shazam’s very first sitter over a decade ago during the dogvaycay.com days but when it transitioned to Rover, we couldn’t find her until just recently. So happy to have found her again and our now senior little guy Shazam still loved his time with her after all these years!”

“Danielle did amazing with my Dakota! Dakota can take some time to adjust and Danielle was very patient and calm with her, which is exactly what she needs. She also gave her medicine with ease. Will be booking again if I am back in Nevada!”

“Shawna did a great job making sure my dogs’ stay was comfortable for everyone involved. Booking was very quick and straightforward. She kept in touch, shared updates, and asked questions as needed. I could tell my dogs were very comfortable and happy.”

“Kelly and her husband were great! She sent me updates and pictures regularly, they were very flexible on drop off and pick up and my dog Rocky had a very good time. Thank You!”

“Chelsea provides a safe and nurturing environment for the pets she watches. We feel so lucky to have found someone like her and highly recommend her services.”

“Could not have been a better experience! Our puppy dog Tito was treated as family during the course of his stay. Andrea was amazing at letting me know he was doing ok and I think Tito has found a new best friend with Henry! Thank you all so very much !!!”

“Madeline was an amazing cat sitter for Fleur! She was so communicative and took lots of pictures. I had no worries that my baby was in the best of hands and could relax on my trip. Thank you, Madeline! We’ll definitively call you again to hang with Miss Fleur :)”

“Danika was an absolute life-saver when our cat ended up going to the emergency vet just a few days before my family and I were going on vacation for a whole week after. As he recovered from his vet visit, he required constant care which involved multiple check-ins a day, monitoring how often he drank water, ate his food, and used the litter box. He also needed to be given 3 different medications on different time schedules, 2 of which required being administered with a syringe in his mouth. Danika was able to do all of this and even texted us updates after each visit to let us know how things were going. Her availability on such short notice along with her attention to detail and genuine love and care for our cat gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation without feeling worried the entire time. I would gladly book her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone else needing someone to look after their kitties. Huge props to Danika!”

About: I am an experienced dog walker with a background in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue work, and in-home pet sitting. I have lifelong experience with dogs and focus on providing safe, reliable, and attentive care. My goal is to make sure each dog is comfortable, exercised, and well cared for during every walk. Pet care fits into my weekly routine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when I dedicate my time to dog walking and pet care services in the Truckee area. I keep a limited schedule so I can provide reliable, consistent, and focused care for each pet. This allows me to prioritize safety, communication with owners, and quality time with every dog I work with. I focus on providing safe, attentive, and respectful care in each pet’s familiar environment or during walks. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, maintain routines, and prioritize each animal’s comfort and well-being. I make sure pets are always secure, supervised, and treated with calm, reliable handling.

About: I have 2 silly, active and sweet cats at home currently. They don’t always get along so I’m pretty familiar with the hot and cold nature of our feline friends. I would love to check in on your cats! I can’t accommodate boarding cats in my home at this time however just due to my 2 brats and their attitudes.

“Mickenzie did a great job watching taking care of Socks and Kitt last week. She made sure that they were feed during their usual schedule and cleaned their litter boxes twice a day. I would be happy to have her take care of them while I am out of town again.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals from house sitting to dog walking since my teenage years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Neighbors, family friends, and family have trusted me to provide exceptional care for their furry companions. My deep love for animals led me to volunteer at the UCD Vet Center during high school, where I assisted veterinarians in hands on care. Later, I dedicated time to shelters like the Davis SPCA and the Pacific Palisades SPCA in Los Angeles, working with rescue animals and learning how to nurture even the most vulnerable pets. Over the years, I’ve rescued and rehabilitated numerous animals, many of whom became cherished members of my family. It’s been an incredible journey watching them thrive, whether it’s a senior dog finding comfort or a shy kitten finally coming out of their shell. My approach is rooted in holistic care, recognizing that diet, environment, and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health. I’ve seen firsthand how natural remedies, proper nutrition, and mindful interaction can transform an animal’s quality of life. Whether your pet needs a lively walk, a playful home visit, or overnight care while you’re traveling, I’d love to be their trusted companion. I believe in tailoring care to each animal’s unique personality, whether that means helping calm anxious pups or adjusting activities for a senior dog with mobility challenges. Feel free to ask me anything—I’m happy to share references or discuss how I can best support your pet’s needs. Looking forward to meeting your four-legged family member and giving them the same love and attention I’ve given animals my whole life! I am currently really flexible with days and hours available. I am working from home right now which allows me this flexibility. Open m- f as well as weekends I have a fenced yard and one dog at home that loves and gets along with all animals and is super friendly. I have plenty of space and separate rooms in the house along with a gate I can put up if your fury love wants a little space of their own for play time!

About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.
“Carrie is awesome. When I sent her a message, she responded back super fast and is great about communicating when she can or cannot walk my dog. She is always punctual and has a wonderful personality. 😊”

About: I have been taking care of pets ever since I can remember. Born with pets in the house. Walk, hike, feed, play, and bathe animals. I have taken care of friends and neighbors pets. I am working for myself at the moment. I am available anytime and any day of the week and weekends. I am willing to travel if it's reasonable. I have a fenced yard. I own a dog and a cat. I can crate animals if needed. No front yard fence but have a tree that has a leash connected to it.
About: I have a lot of experience with animal sitting, dog walking etc. Growing up my family has always had at least 3 dogs, I have had many cats in my lifetime as well. I have a flexible work schedule. I usually work Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but it varies. Typically, I work long hours around 10 or 12. I am able to do drop in visits for animals, I love to walk dogs. I provide many different services for animals, let me know what you need!
With experience in SPCA volunteering, wildlife rescue, and in-home pet sitting, I understand how important consistency, patience, and observation are. I make sure pets are always secure, supervised, and treated with calm, reliable handling.

“I was very sick and unable to walk my very energetic boxer one day during the week. Given that I needed someone, essentially, right away, I figured I'd be out of luck, but thankfully(!) Zac replied to me within minutes... we worked on a good time to meet, he came to condo complex to pick up Sammy (..and was right on time :)). What a life safer for me and Sammy! Thank you again Zac!”

“Christina was our little pup Shazam’s very first sitter over a decade ago during the dogvaycay.com days but when it transitioned to Rover, we couldn’t find her until just recently. So happy to have found her again and our now senior little guy Shazam still loved his time with her after all these years!”

We have experience with it all; new puppies and kittens, as well as older furry friends who may need special treatment and/or administering medication. “Cameron and Amanda were great. The really seem to enjoy having the pups around and sent consistent updates and photos. They were very flexible when both my departing and arriving flights were late and even kept the girls a few hours longer. Would definitely trust them with the girls again.”

“Nina was awesome! My husband and I live out of the area but were visiting Reno and our hotel had a no pet policy, so we thought we would try someone close to where we were staying. I saw Nina’s profile and the positive reviews and determined it could be a good fit after we spoke on the phone. Nina was very professional and responsive throughout the entire duration leading up to our booking, and stayed in contact throughout their stay, providing lots of updates and pictures (which we loved!). It put our minds at ease seeing how happy and relaxed our boys appeared in the pictures. I was a little worried my boys might give her a little trouble because for some reason they aren’t huge fan of men, and I knew they would be around a guy but Scott is clearly a gem because my boys were cuddling up to him and one of them was following him around their house and wanting all his attention! Blew my mind a little (in a great way!) lol. When we went to pick them up they were calm, relaxed, and happy and fell fast asleep on the car ride home with zero PTSD lol. While I’m not in Nina’s area, I will absolutely see if she is available again next time we are out there.”

“I cannot recommend Brittany enough! From the moment we met, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about animals. She took amazing care of my dog, kept me updated with photos and messages, and made sure my pup felt loved and comfortable while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my dog was in such caring and reliable hands. When I got home, my dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I will absolutely be booking with Brittany again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter!”
