About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life, whether it's my own pet or pet sitting for neighbors. I have two dogs myself. Bosa who is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and our big little rescue Kittle who is a Great Pyrenees. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! About: I have been around animals all my life, particularly big dogs. My family has always had big dogs (Bernese Mountain dogs and labradors), but I share the love with all sizes! Helping train our family dogs has also given me confidence not only in handling animals, but also the knowledge to ensure safe engagement with them and others. No animal is "problematic" they all just require (and deserve) specific attention and patience. I personally enjoy the company of animals, so it's a win-win if I get to hang out with your pet! About: I have owned cats my entire life and know how to take care of cat of all ages. I currently have a 23-year-old cat named Midnight that I am the sole caretaker for. I have slightly less experience with dogs; however, I did dog-walking as a kid and currently live with a medium-sized dog that I will feed, let out for potty breaks, take on walks/hikes, and just hang out with. I don't board large dogs, so you don't have to worry that your dog will be in the company of an animal that might intimidate them. I have a huge, safe, fenced-in yard that they'll have access to all day long. Your house: I know it can be hard to leave your home and pets in the care of someone else. You can trust that I will take as much care of your home & dogs as I do with my own (and that's a lot!!). I'm an extremely conscientious sitter and l'll make sure everything is as tidy (or more so) than when you left. I will respect your privacy and your belongings. I'm also a plant person and would be glad to care for your gardens and houseplants. You can rest assured that everything will be well taken care of and secure. We also have a secure deck that the dogs loving sunbathing on and watching the world go by. I can crate your dog, if need be (we have a crate / room for crates), along with the ability to keep dogs separate if need be. Should your dog use a e-collar of any sort, I’m trained in properly using them, as both of my dogs are trained to them. If your dog loves to hike, we regularly go for hikes on the trails around Sonoma County, or to Dillon Beach to run around off leash.
