About: My husband and I have had animals in our lives for as long as we can remember. We share our home with cats and a dog, volunteer with local humane societies, and have experience fostering and caring for kittens. We’re also comfortable with senior pets and pets with medical needs after reviewing their routines with you. We serve the Hidden Valley Lake area only. We can care for pets in your home, or welcome them into ours if they’re comfortable around cats. We require a meet and greet before any booking so everyone, including our own pets, feels comfortable. While your pet is with us, we’ll follow their routine and treat them like family. My husband is retired, and I work from home, so we can give pets attention throughout the day. We plan care around each pet’s needs, whether that means visits in your home or a stay in ours. We start with a meet and greet to learn your pet’s routine and decide together whether they’d be most comfortable in your home or ours. Cats are our specialty, and we also enjoy caring for dogs who are comfortable with everyday walks and visits. We don’t offer dog training or behavior modification. A stay in our home depends on your pet being comfortable around our six cats and large dog. We have a fully fenced side yard and a fenced backyard, and visiting pets are always supervised outdoors.

She's a timid rescue girl. It's just me and her at home. The interacting with other dogs and people has changed her so much. She's my baby and I've never left her. When she's there Lauren sends pictures and updates which is so comforting. I can see the happiness. She thrives there! I'm going to do my best to give her "sleep-overs" for a couple days a month. About: Hi, I'm Tommy, my family and recently moved to Clearlake from Santa Rosa. I work nights and am home during the days, but my wife is here when I'm not and can help out if needed. We are all animal lovers here and enjoy having dogs. Unfortunately our own doggies have passed away recently. We aren't looking to get our own again just yet but would love to watch yours for a bit. :) I usually work from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. so I get home around 6:30 at which point I will let the dogs out for some yard time. My wife and son will be up around 7:00 and I know my son will be excited to go for a walk. My wife will be the caregiver until I wake up around 1:00 p.m. so one of us will be around at all times. We have a fenced fully fenced in yard and no other animals on the property, and there will always be someone here to take care of your pet.

About: Hi I am Lila, conveniently located behind the gates of Hidden Valley Lake. I am a highly sensitive person who has had a special relationship with animals since I was young. I believe they are our teachers as much as we are their guides & guardians. Often when I meet a pet we love each other instantly (of course there can be some shy ones too!) yet with time, attunement, & positive reinforcement a deeper trust gets built. Even with the most secure, adjusted cat or dog, there can be a bit of extra stress while you are gone. Relationship building helps them feel relaxed and safe while their 'pack' is away’. They co-regulate with us, just as we co-regulate with them. I love learning what type of engagement/enrichment each pet loves. I am great with sensitive pets and support them. I keep you updated with photos and any observations I may have or suggestions of extra support for them. I only work with reasonably socialized dogs - if there are higher levels of behavioral issues, I can refer a good trainer in the area if needed. I sometimes work with protective dog breeds (GSD etc) but only if they are trained and friendly. I am not working with pit bulls at this time (I have met some sweet ones). I like to prioritize my time for connection with each pet, so I like to leave gaps between my visits in case more care or play is needed during my visit. For house and pet sitting, I want to spend more time with your pet and then take fewer drop-in visits, so the cost reflects this. I do have Pet Insurance beyond Rover as well just in case it is needed. It never has been but I want all pets safe, sound, and happy I use positive reinforcement to create a loving secure relationship with each pet. This is done with respect for their own agency while engaging in mental, physical, and relaxation activities.

About: I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time, including caring for three dogs in one household and two dogs in another. I was responsible for their daily care and making sure they were safe, fed, exercised, and comfortable. Managing several dogs at once taught me how to stay patient, attentive, and organized, even when they were energetic or had different personalities and needs. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and would treat every pet in my care like they were my own. I only have a college class twice a week for only one hour of my day and I have a part-time job that is only certain days of the week. Rover will be the perfect fill-in for all that extra time that I have, and I will always put my customers first. About: I’ve worked at PESCM, a pet emergency hospital, that has given me the knowledge to properly care for animals to make sure there is no risk. I’m currently looking for something part-time with adorable animals and a way to get back to helping people with their pets in anyways I can. I have experience with my own two animals on how to crate train, to not interact with other animals in case of accidents or injuries, and on how to keep cats from escaping the safety of their own home.
About: My love for animals grew when I got my dog moe (the chihuahua in my photos) he is my bestfriend and he is the cutest dog ever! I love spending time with your pets and especially taking tons of photos to send to you. I like to give updates to you throughout the day so you know your bestfriend is safe with me! I do online school at the Junior College so I would be at your house for most of the time giving all the scratches and love to your pet ☺️ I am free throughout the week and can normally fit around anyones schedule. If things come up in the future they will be updated that week on my calendar if I become booked Whenever I leave to go run an errand I always check to make sure all the doors are locked. It is something I always do, even at my own home to make sure the pets are safe. I also like to take them out ever 2 hours just to be sure they are always relieved. If you ask for walks I always love doing them and getting some exercise for your dog and me!

About: I love pets and being in nature enhances my love to take care of pets and always more room for more walk or runs which sets up a great times I’m working full time although I work hybrid, two to three days in the office, and will love to pet sit Wednesday, Friday Saturday or Sunday! About: My family has always had pets my whole life, including a dog for 14 years and 3 cats. I was always dealt the task of taking care of them so I am very familiar with pet sitting. I was very good/reliable so this job seemed like a natural choice for me. I am currently working at a gym, but only 17 hours a week so this will be more of my main priority. Other than the part time job I am free! I have a fenced yard with a lot of room to play, as well as a safe and comfortable neighborhood street for walks. “They've done it again! My little Miss Lemon was so happy when I picked her up, she went right by me. This was her second stay. I wish I could put into words, the difference in her. She's a timid rescue girl. It's just me and her at home. The interacting with other dogs and people has changed her so much. She's my baby and I've never left her. When she's there Lauren sends pictures and updates which is so comforting. I can see the happiness. She thrives there! I'm going to do my best to give her "sleep-overs" for a couple days a month. “Ari is the best sitter we have ever worked with. She gave our two shy skittish rescues, Ares and Carter, nearly three weeks of truly loving & fun care. We never once had to ask for photos or updates. We were able to fully enjoy our lengthy vacation without worrying about the dogs at all, which was huge given how we had to cut our last two trips short due to our dogs’ being unsafe with past sitters. I was so reassured by how she cared for them that I booked her for our next trip before this one had even ended. Ari's thoroughness stood out from our very first meet and greet. She asked detailed questions about our dogs that went well beyond the basics, and it was clear she genuinely wanted to understand them and their needs. She gave our pups space and didn’t force any interactions. Ari's patience & care with shy dogs sets her apart. Both of our dogs are Jindo rescues who are reserved with new people and need time to get comfortable in new spaces. Ari respected their timing and let them come to her instead of pushing for attention or constant handling. That approach made a huge difference. Within a week, our very shy dog was curling up to sleep on her bed with her. Both dogs were greeting her with happy barks, kisses, and full-body tail wags. They have never done that with anyone besides my partner and me…not even with friends and family they have repeatedly seen. Her home is a dream for dog parents. Ari secures different areas of her home so that dogs are not only safe but also have a quiet space to retreat to, which matters a great deal for nervous and fearful rescues. Her yard felt very secure, and our pups had such a great time playing in her outdoor space. Since their breed are notorious escape artists, these thoughtful setups gave me reassurance that the pups were secure. The moment that made me happiest came at pickup. Both dogs were happy to see us and still kept taking short breaks from us to go back to Ari on their own, wagging their tails and giving her kisses. Seeing them acknowledge her in the middle of reuniting with us showed how deeply they had bonded with her. Ari completely exceeded our expectations, and it is hard to overstate how much that meant after two horrible experiences that broke our trust. Both happened back to back right before finding her, and we had to end both bookings and trips early because our dogs were not safe. I had vetted those sitters carefully for weeks, and one of them weekly for four months, and it still wasn't enough. Those experiences left us anxious about traveling again and shrank our hopes to one thing: that our dogs would simply be safe.Ari's care went far beyond keeping them safe. Carter & Ares were happy, playful, affectionate & adore Ari. On top of all this, Ari a wonderful person. She is kind, flexible, humorous, and easy to talk to, and that warmth shows in how she cares for the dogs. Since coming home, both our dogs clearly miss her, which is a first. It means so much to know that when we go on vacation, they get a vacation of their own with the fun and care they deserve. We have finally found the person we can trust with our dogs.”
