My work is part-time, online, and at my own pace, so I can easily shift my attention to your dog's needs for walks and playtime. I have a small fenced yard with artificial grass, and there is a large park at the end of the street, two or three small parks in the neighborhood, and a 2-mile trail to downtown. I have whatever a dog needs but ideally, pets should arrive with their own favorite "furniture," toys, and treats.

About: Hey, I’m Chappy! Christopher is my legal name… I specialize in walking / caring for large dogs and working breeds, but am happy to work with all breeds and sizes. I have worked with high-energy, reactive, less than sociable dogs too, giving them the physical and metal fulfillment they need. I personally have two larger dogs, Count (German Shepherd Husky mix, 110lbs) and Bentley (German Shepherd Dutch Shepherd mix, 80lbs). I’ve also worked with a range of breeds from pugs to golden retrievers to Alsatian shepherds to American bull dogs. I’m a freelance, work from home marketer, so I’m pretty much always at home and available to take care of dogs, or am able to come to you and take your pup out. We live on roughly 8 acres in Sonoma County, so there is plenty of room at our home for dogs to run and explore. I have two friendly German Shepherd mix dogs that love having friends over. We also have a secure deck that the dogs loving sunbathing on and watching the world go by. I can crate your dog, if need be (we have a crate / room for crates), along with the ability to keep dogs separate if need be. Should your dog use a e-collar of any sort, I’m trained in properly using them, as both of my dogs are trained to them. Walks twice a day, a calm demeanor, experience handling dogs who are fussy, a willingness to treat basic medical issues, including taking your dog to the vet ER, and not feel put upon to do it. The reason that we love Casey, however, is that she treats our dog as we do- lots of hugs and hanging out in the garden with a cold drink. Nothing special, but our dog is treated like our child, and Casey steps in as a beloved aunt. I never worry if my dog is unhappy with us leaving her when Casey is caring for her. That’s a real gift to our dog, and especially to us.”

About: Ever since I remember, I was always surrounded by multiple pets, as my mom rescued many different animals. When I got old enough, I helped her caring for all the pets, and she taught me, how to be responsible while caring for animals. When I was 14, I started to pet sit for other people, and they were all very satisfied with the care their pet received. I am comfortable and confident around dogs of every size and breed, and cats. I have plenty of experience with dogs who require special care, including senior dogs, high energy dogs and anxious dogs. I am comfortable administering medication to cats and dogs. If your pet needs company all the time, I can typically work around it! :) I am a responsible pet sitter, and have plenty of experience caring for animals in my house and also in the owners’ home. I have a fenced yard, and I go on multiple walks every day with my dog, Baldur. He is friendly with dogs and cats, but due to his age, he is not very playful anymore. However if your dog wants to play with other dogs, I often have other dogs I am pet sitting in my house, so it is likely, that your pet can meet new friends during their stay. There is also a dog park near to our house, where I am willing to take your dog if they require playtime with other dogs. If your dog is shy or more reserved, my house is big enough to provide a separated room to hang out! In our home, dogs are allowed on the furniture and bed, and most of the dogs I sit before slept with me on the bed! :) If I pet sit an animal in the client’s home, I always ensure to follow all the instructions the owner gives me about their home, and I always make sure that when I leave, the pet stays safe in their environment. I am familiar with pet CPR and First Aid, and my partner, who lives with me is pet CPR certified. When I go for longer walks with dogs, I always have water and a transportable bowl with me, so I can make sure, that your dog has always access to water, even during walks. We have air conditioning in the house, so if it is too hot outside, I can just chill with the dogs inside the house and make sure that they do not overheat.

About: My name is Nicole. I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to know what animals were. Between catching potato bugs, feeding the spiders in my windowsills, and moving worms off of sidewalks, I’ve always had a particular connection with the animals that most people don’t understand. As soon as I was old enough, I marched off to the Sonoma County Animal Services to volunteer. From there, it was love at first bark. When I turned 18, I immediately went to animal care as my first real job and was lucky enough to work at Rohnert Park Animal Services for several years. I opened my home to many different rescue critters including snakes, tortoises, rats, lizards, and birds. I rescued my first dog and she is still my best friend to this day 10 years later! Over the years, I was blessed to foster many different exotic animals and worked with the Sacramento SPCA through the pandemic. Shortly after, I made a huge cross-country move and ended up in Louisiana working with all kinds of critters at Northshore Humane Society. From there, I ended up back in my hometown of Sonoma County. Throughout all of these changes, the one variable that never changed was my love for animals and passion for making sure they were safe. Through my 8+ years of shelter experience I have worked with the most feral of feral cats, wildlife brought in shoeboxes, all sizes and shapes of dogs, and so much more. I have met and befriended many pets that were reluctant to be befriended and worked with virtually every breed of cat and dog on the planet. I am fear-free certified and have extensive experience with medication management, basic first-aid, canine CPR, and basic training for both dogs and cats. I am experienced with walking large breeds including reactive dogs and can handle heavy pullers (I have TWO huskies!). I have also volunteered with the Bird Rescue Center of Sonoma County and have a special skillset with exotic animals. My two personal rescue dogs are half husky and bully breed which are two of the most misunderstood dog breeds, so there will be no breed discrimination from me. My favorite furry friends are often shy, tricky to befriend, or nervous. Making a scared baby comfortable means the world to me and I love the challenge. As stated above, I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets including rats, mice, birds, snakes, tortoises, turtles, fish, lizards, invertebrates, and spiders. I am perfectly comfortable with your exotic pet’s diet and am familiar with feeding snakes and other reptiles frozen-thawed rodents. The only animals I won’t consider petsitting for are species that are illegal to own or venomous. If I had to summarize my truest passion, it would be making sure that every single animal feels safe and comfortable. Even if they’re not perfect, they all deserve kindness and patience. We don’t expect perfection from humans, but we so frequently expect it of animals. So if your pet is a little bit quirky or one of those types that gets dismissed as “scary” or “mean”, you’ve found a person that will give them exactly what they need to feel loved and cherished. Because no pet is perfect, but they are perfect for you. My promise to you is that I will do my best to be your baby’s new BFF. About: Ever since I can remember i’ve been surrounded by many different animal personalities. About: I have been raised with dogs my entire life. Before I was born there were large dogs in the house which I grew up alongside. As I grew the number of pets in the house increased to include exotic animals like reptiles and farm animals. From 9 years old I was individually responsible for the care of a flying squirrelly who lived a happy life until she aged. From 13, myself and my siblings were responsible for the care of large and small farm animals as well as four dogs in the household at one time. My patience and calm demeanor allow animals to feel very comfortable around me. I have experience giving cats subcutaneous fluids 3x/wk for 7 months, oral meds (liquid and pill form for 1.5 years), facials, baths, and showers. and I'm sensitive & observant to animals' needs. I do my best to understand animal behavior and what they're communicating. When I adopted my cats, Sparkles & Zorro, they truly adopted me as their mom. They were a few months old & I was 10. I was their person, and the only one Sparkles completely trusted. They passed in 2019 & 2024. My dad and I found and revived a young robin from a flood after a tornado. When I come across wildlife or strays in need, I will go to the ends of the earth to help. In college I had a zoology emphasis & interned at an exotic wildlife rehabilitation center. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter washing dogs, cleaning kennels, & socializing with cats & dogs. I also volunteered at a farm animal sanctuary. We began rescuing cats since the LA wildfires and I fostered one. With a positive attitude and a readiness to learn, I'd complete the tasks assigned, giving attention to the animals as I go along. After finishing my work on the sanctuary, I'd thoroughly socialize with the animals, spending time in different barns/rooms each week so that all, from pigs to cats, receive equal attention. My skills allow me to notice a creature in need of help and be an advocate until the animal is safe and/or in the right hands. In addition to being an animal-lover, I am a people-person who enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team.
