But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. About: I have always had dogs/animals. We have 5 dogs of our own. We also foster with a local rescue. We specialize in the squish face breeds. We completely understand climate control. We love to exercise outside and go out often to romp. I am currently working remote part of the time (office days are Tues/Thurs). We typically always have someone home and the dogs are likely never alone for more than a 2-3 hour period. Our dogs are very friendly and love to play! We do not have a fenced yard, so our preference would be dogs that are not a flight risk! We can use a flexi leash for potty breaks but that would limit outside play for our guests. We live on 2.5 acres with a lot of grass to romp and play. Our dogs do not go outside unless supervised.

About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my own home I will be in close proximity at all times and I will be home the entire time so I can sense when potty breaks or walks are needed. I really enjoy taking walks myself so it’s a perfect fit to have dogs over. Cats are similar with the exception of walks unless you want to leash train them or already have. I love to keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves and I give lots of play time.

About: I have taken care of dogs for the past 5 years or so by myself. Growing up my parents watched dogs for friends and family every so often. We also had a border collie mix of our own for 15 years and I was responsible for taking care of him. I currently work M-Th; 9am-5pm but fairly free before or after work for walks and playtime. I tend to get up early on work days but a night owl on the weekends. I enjoy getting out on the weekends like going on walks with hikes. I currently do not have fenced in hard but I do have a large grass area right outside my house that is dog friendly and is great for playtime and even doggie pool time.
