About: For the past 5 years I've pet sat for family and friends, especially during the summer. Many have suggested I venture out to pet sit on the side because they love how I care for their pets. About: The first family pet o ever took care of was a calico cat named Keisha,. She had already been a member of he family for over a year before I was born so I guess it’s fair to say she took care of me for the first decade. That's the only time I can remember us having just one cat in my childhood. You've had all kinds of breeds and both indoor and outdoor cats alike. I have yet to own or take care of a Maine Coon and I sure would like to one day. I've always seemed to be the one that can get the cat to come out from hiding when no one else can.

“Hector was the best taking care of my cat! He was extremely responsible and careful and followed all my instructions to take care of Kitty. I had to travel to my home country for a couple of weeks, and having Hector around made me feel comfortable. He was super responsive to the texts and always made sure he posted an update for me for every visit. He kept my place clean, brought in any packages that were outside of my apartment and took care of everything I asked him to do. I could also see how well he treated Kitty, and how he played with her and pet her. My cat really adores him. He was also super polite with me and it was a pleasure dealing with him. Brasilio gladly did a meet and greet with us and brought his Husky to meet Tucker. He was very laid back with Tucker and very comfortable giving him a chance to get acclimated to his dog. Tucker responded very well so I felt like he’d be in good hands w/ Brasilio. He was also very accommodating when he needed to stay overnight when I had a schedule change and wanted to just pick him up the next day. Tucker has been doing MUCH better with new dog friends thanks to Brasilio!”

About: I’ve had several dogs throughout my life and will probably be getting another one or two within the next year. My main option on here is dog boarding but, depending on the dog boarding schedule, I or somebody else on my team could also be open to do drop ins, house sitting, or walks, especially for those who have already used our boarding services. Please ask about these additional services after a confirmed boarding session. I’m in the middle of taking a few years off from teaching high school because A) Who couldn’t use a break from that? and B) I am focusing on building up a short-term rental business (Airbnb mostly). As an Airbnb host I spend a lot of time at home and have found that one of my favorite things to do is play with dogs in the yard (especially, when there’s more than one of them here at the same time!) and take them on trips to the park. I love dogs and am very reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I live in a house with a fenced yard and all of the instructions you leave will be followed to keep your little buddy happy & safe! I am home most of the day and when I do leave it's usually only for an hour or two at a time. Most of what I do at home (working on a computer, household chores, yard work) I do in the presence of whatever dogs happen to be staying at that time. One limitation that I do try to stick to is to avoid scheduling drop-offs or pickups on Sundays before 10:00 am. Unfortunately, Rover doesn't give me the option to block off those times without blocking out the entire day so adding this note here is the only way to give you a heads up (hopefully, you read this before booking). I have a fenced yard and usually board 2 or 3 dogs at a time so that they have playmates. If ever I leave the house, dogs are left inside. Dogs that stay here must be up to date on shots as well as on a flea-prevention medication.

About: I’m kind and patient with pets. I understand that they are not the same but do require the same type of care and love. I enjoy playing with them and giving them belly rubs and taking them for walks. I’m currently on summer breaks and would like to spend time caring for pets when their loved ones are away. It may be difficult on some families due to their schedule so I would like to make it easier on them. They way I would care for my clients pet at their home. I will check on them first and then see if they have water in their bowl. Will see if they require feeding. Lastly I will follow the instructions left my client. If they need a walk or play with them and keep them company.

They are great company I believe petting an animal can lower your blood pressure. Your pets need extra affection while you’re gone. I’m there for that. About: I’m an animal rights activist, a vegan, and an environmentalist, so I’m always fighting for the animals, wild or domestic! We had all sorts of animals while I was growing up, including cats and dogs. We started with cats and two beagles, and after the beagles' passing, we adopted the sweetest schnoodle (schnauzer-poodle) on the planet! Long story short, after my sister and I moved out, my parents ended up with two more dogs and trusted only one person (other than my sister) to look after all three dogs when they (my folks) would go on trips: me. We continued to have cats and other animals during that time. My parents are down to two dogs now, but that's been one of my jobs for the last several years, in addition to looking after friends' dogs. I've also volunteered at a couple of shelters as a cat socializer and cat/kitten foster parent. During that time, I completed a "Fear Free Shelter" course and understand the signs of distressed dogs and cats and how to reduce their stress (one spoiler: classical music for dogs). I’m also certified in canine and feline first aid/CPR. Anyway, I love doing drop-in visits and dog walking and am happy to offer my home as a daycare. I love seeing animals in the comfort of their own homes and letting dogs explore my backyard. I'm currently funemployed, so I have time to do drop-in visits, dog walking, and doggy daycare most days. Dogs staying with me for the day would have access to our fenced backyard. If you need only dog-walking or drop-in sittings, then I can usually start after 10a. For doggy daycare, I’ll be sure to provide the stability and boundaries your fur baby needs. Your dog is welcome on the couch during the day, and we have a heated and air conditioned home during the hot and cold months. If I'm in your home, such as for drop-in visits, I'll use Rover Cards to let you know when I arrive, document how things went while I was there (with photos), and let you know when I head out. About: I love all dogs, being able to help develop their social interaction skills, being able to help exercise or create a stress relief for dogs is what makes me want to take care of dogs. “We left our Shiba Inu over a long weekend with Stacey. Our experience was wonderful. The house is great and Stacey’s whole family was so accommodating and loving to our dog. The back yard is large and all fenced in, and our dog was allowed both in and outside. Stacey spent lots of time playing fetch with our dog, taught her a new trick ( to lay down), and spent lots of time giving her pets and cuddles. This was the first time we have ever left our dog and we were nervous but Stacey sent us so many pictures and updates, and she really took care to make us feel at ease. We were able to have a nice vacation away and our dog was safe and loved while we were gone. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!”
