I work part-time in film & TV production with a variable schedule, which means I might be away from the house for as long as 10 hours at a time. Realistically, I know this doesn’t work well for many pets’ routines, which is why I want to be upfront about my availability. I will, however, be as communicative with you as possible about my schedule as soon as I know it. If a particular day is going to be long, I can also see if one of my film/tv colleagues can cover me, so that I can provide your pets the best care I can. Ultimately, it’s up to you and your pets’ level of comfort! I’m here to support you :) I take your pet's health and safety very seriously, which is why I make sure I understand not only what their immediate needs are (food, water, exercise, enrichment), but also what potential stressors might be (loud noises, other animals, etc.). I gather as much information as I can up front, so I can anticipate your pet's needs as they arise. Knowing where the cleaning materials, trash, emergency numbers, and security items (crate, leash, carrier) are in your home gives ME peace of mind and makes my job that much easier. Once I have all the info I need, while you're gone, I can check back in with you as much or as little as you prefer -- I'm happy to send updates throughout the day, or I'm just as happy to take care of things myself and provide a summary when you return. Either way, I make sure both you and your pet(s) enjoy your time away!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages before, from terriers to Scotch collies. These dogs have ranged in age as well, with some being as young as 1-3 and the oldest being 15. I make sure to communicate frequently to ensure pets receive thoughtful and fun care that is also respectful of their boundaries. I’m a teacher and currently on summer break, so my time for pet care is pretty open and prioritized right now! Rover is my primary focus at the moment, so let’s chat about some care for your pet! Whenever in a new environment, I make sure to inspect all possible exits or potential areas for danger or risk for pets. Additionally, respecting your home and your boundaries is a top priority of mine! I don’t use things unless I’ve asked about them and will communicate if a situation ever arises. I don’t have boarding as an option at the moment, but if that ever changes, pet safety and comfort is always a priority!
