About: Hey there! I have lived my entire 30 years with dogs. From growing up with two golden retrievers to getting my own dog louie at 17- and seeing him through his senior years all the way up until his passing this past February. We still have his sweet loving sister Nala who is 5, a tender gentle girl who lives for fetch! She may be timid at first meet but is just a submissive gentle girl who eventually opens up for fun loving play if the other dog will have her :) I have dog and cat sat for family and friends since I can remember. I absolutely love animals and take care of them with immense responsibility and care as I know from my own experience they are often some of the most important beings in our life. I have a deep respect for the place I stay at - maintain necessary privacy and keep the house clean and tidy during my stay (check Airbnb reviews in the last photos). I work on creative projects from home - writing a book and doing online consulting and life coaching. I’m around plenty to keep your pet a company, play, engage, and follow your pet’s schedule. A note on overnight stays: I do require a separate bedroom to recharge. This is important for me to show up fully for your pet and maintain my energy and focus for my work the next day. If your pet used to sleep with a human and struggles with overnight separation, I may not be the best fit. I appreciate your understanding! About: As lifelong dog owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. We have experience volunteering at the humane society, and have spent the last few years pet sitting dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether they need long walks, playtime, or just some cuddles on the couch, our goal is to stick to your dog's normal routine and treat them like one of our own. Dan and I both work in the restaurant industry, which gives us a flexible schedule. We work 3–4 days a week and often work opposite shifts, so one of us is usually home or available throughout the day. If we do work the same day, our shifts are in the evening, so we still have the entire morning and afternoon to spend with your pet. We make it a priority to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and love so your pet feels comfortable with us. We want every pet to feel at home while in our care. We have a fenced-in backyard and live just minutes from the marsh and beach, which gives us plenty of opportunities for walks, outdoor adventures, and playtime. If your dog prefers to be the only pet or does not do well with other dogs, we are happy to provide care in your home instead. We understand that every owner has their own routines and expectations, and we will always respect your instructions and your pet’s needs. At our home, dogs are welcome on the couch, are surrounded by toys, and can hang out in backyard to sunbathe and roam free. I have a deep respect for the place I stay at - maintain necessary privacy and keep the house clean and tidy during my stay (check Airbnb reviews in the last photos). I work on creative projects from home - writing a book and doing online consulting and life coaching. I’m around plenty to keep your pet a company, play, engage, and follow your pet’s schedule. A note on overnight stays: I do require a separate bedroom to recharge. This is important for me to show up fully for your pet and maintain my energy and focus for my work the next day. If your pet used to sleep with a human and struggles with overnight separation, I may not be the best fit. I appreciate your understanding! My shepherd maremma mix, Lumi, and I hit the trails daily - a flexible schedule finishing up my Master's degree means I have plenty of time for dedicated supervision. We have a fully fenced yard and are a quick walk to the forest. For your absolute peace of mind, I hold an active Wilderness EMT certification and my daily trail kit includes a canine-specific tourniquet. Very flexible as I wrap up grad school. We long walk early in the morning to beat the crowds, ensuring the doogo(s) gets open space for off-leash exercise when the environment is safest from distraction. Selectively accepting a few well mannered companions. Lumi is a solid regulator and grew up teasing coyotes on an unfenced 15acres. We'll keep a good watch.
