Because I only care for one family’s pets at a time, I’m able to give them focused, personalized care instead of dividing my attention between multiple bookings. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress free as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets can settle in and feel like part of the family. I have a large, fully fenced yard for supervised potty breaks, playtime, and outdoor enrichment, along with a quiet dog park just a few blocks away that is usually empty. I only use the park when it is appropriate for the individual dog and with the owner’s permission. I also have a dog (Jayda) of my own who is friendly, calm, and respectful of other dogs’ boundaries. I always prioritize safe introductions and closely monitor interactions so every pet feels comfortable. If a visiting dog is not comfortable around other dogs, my home has separate rooms and spaces where pets can be safely kept apart whenever necessary. Their comfort and safety always come first. Because I care for one family at a time, I can give each pet personalized attention and follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. For care in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. During drop-ins or house sitting, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, litter box or yard cleanup, medication when needed, playtime, affection, and any other care instructions provided. For walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and letting each dog move at a pace that suits their age, energy level, and comfort. No matter the service, I send regular photo and message updates so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving attentive care.

“As a first time pet owner, sending Dubu to a boarding service was very nervous at best. My wife found Miya based on others recommendations and they are absolutely correct. From the initial meeting to introduce herself to Dubu and me to series of communications to prepare me for dropping Dubu off at her place made it easy and set up an expectation of what to expect. I could feel that Miya was very dedicated to the wellbeing of the dogs in her care. Taking Dubu out to walk 4 times in an one day stay just because Dubu wouldn’t go potty shows this. About: I have a Golden Retriever that is 6 years old and my cat who is 4 & mean the world to me. I’ve pet sat for friends and family throughout the years and enjoy spending time with them. I’ve gone through the puppy and kitten phase so I understand the chaos it entails. I’ve dealt with special food diets, reactive barking on walks, stranger anxiety etc. I have not had to give any meds other than regular flea & tick but I am more than willing to learn. I am a nursing student and am not queasy or new to the importance and safety it requires. I am more than happy to have day & overnight boarding in my home as long as they can get along well with others. I have a cat stroller & car seat as well if needed. I am a college student on summer break but have dog sat for family and friends in the past. I will try my best to accommodate to any special needs needed if required. About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. About: Hi! My name is Faith Tupin and I am a substitute Paraeducator in the Davis school district, babysitter and grad school student. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and sheep. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter off and on for a few years and was in 4-H for many years. I have experience with extremely large dogs to tea cup chihuahuas, three legged dogs, dogs needing end of life care (medication administration, pet inhalers), puppies who haven’t been house trained and even service animals. I was taught how to do CPR on dogs even though i’ve never had to put my skills to use. I am active and I love long walks. I am also very clean and will make sure your house looks great when I leave. I currently am working part time and am also able to make my own schedule. This allows me to be flexible and take on additional responsibilities. I always talk to the owners to ensure that I am following their routine and keeping an eye out for any bad habits the dog may have- chewing on cords, digging by fences. I am aware of what food is toxic to dogs and never leave it out. I avoid other dogs on walks and look out for unknown food on the sidewalks that they may be tempted to eat.

About: I have multiple years experience working in dog boarding facilities, as well as small animal veterinary clinics. I have extensive knowledge of dog behavior and welfare, and am able to confidently care for many different types of personalities. I will start veterinary school in the fall, and plan to fit visits in around my class schedule. I’ve recently moved to Woodland to help my sister with her kids, which leaves me some time for myself but not enough for a full time job. That’s where pet sitting comes in for me. Animal care is an important thing to me, and I love to know I’m helping your pet live their best life. Most pets will be comfortable in their own home so I can make house trips at least twice a day, perhaps more depending on where you are located respective to me.
