I do ask that dogs are comfortable around children and other dogs, and are reasonably house-trained and comfortable spending short periods indoors when needed. During their stay with him, we were in constant contact, so I knew they were in good hands. He was sending videos, pics, and texts to let me know how they were doing. I would not hesitate to ask her again! Here are the reasons. 1) Brooke was very professional even before the stay. She came out to meet my cat twice before I left. She initially came to my house, and then when my a/c died, I moved my cat to my brother's house, and Brooke came there too, to learn my cat's routine, get a key, etc. 2) Brooke was very responsive, and kept me updated - letting me know when she was visiting my cat, sending photos, etc. 3) Brooke was very conscientious about my brother's house (where my cat stayed). I left out enough clean bowls that she could have used a new food bowl every day, but she washed up the bowls after feeding my cat (it's wet food, so the bowls get crusty). She also scooped the litter box and took those bags to the outdoor trash so they weren't in the house for days. 4) My cat was happy to see me, but not desperate - if that makes sense. About: I grew up with cats! I come from a line of cat lovers so I’ve always been comfortable with and prefer cats in some ways! I have a cat of my own who I rescued from the side of a busy freeway about a year and a half ago. My cat got diagnosed with FIC last September which causes him to have very painful bladder flare ups. I had to adjust to a new and delicate routine with him so I fully understand how sensitive cats can be! He requires prescription diet as well as medicine. A lot of people say cats are easier because they’re less maintenance which I totally disagree on! Cats may prefer less attention at times but they certainly need and deserve just as much care as any other pet!

We first arranged for a Meet and Greet to ensure that Lucy and JK got along well and they hit it off the second we got out of the car! JK asked to take the leash from me so that she could take control of Lucy on a short walk around the block. JK was very thorough and asked good questions about how Lucy would react if encountering other dogs or kids in public and also wanted to know if she had any other particular needs. I felt much more comfortable leaving Lucy with JK for daycare knowing that she would do her best to care for our girl as well as we would at home. JK took many pictures and videos throughout the day to provide periodic updates and was super responsive to any messages, too. I highly recommend her services.”

My booking that day was a pretty long one and he had no problem stepping up to help out. He also took my dogs out for a run, even though I did not ask that from him because it was above and beyond. He happily met my request for extra precaution to block off/shore up the perimeter on the side of house because I was a little concerned about the gate/fence latch that had 1 fastener loose. About: I've owned two giants who I had all their life. I've watched neighbors dogs from tiny to big. I genuinely love our barking buddies and I'll do anything to keep them happy. Lots of play, nice long walks with provisions, if medicine is needed I'm capable of giving it, all the attention, and loads of love. Pet care is my full time priority, for any type of care at my home. However, transportation for me to you can be a little inconsistent so I would need a little more time to prepare before taking care of your pet at your home. I've worked with dogs of all sizes, and of many different backgrounds. With that being said, I have some experience with aggressive and reactive dogs as well. Winning an anxious dog over is my specialty. I'm very good with puppies and kittens, and to be honest, I tend to baby any animal regardless of how old they are. I have worked with sick dogs who frequently needed to be groomed and cleaned up due to medical issues. I've worked with many blind and deaf dogs as well. I have worked with cats very closely at multiple animal shelters. I also have experience with special needs cats with cerebellar hypoplasia which is much like the cat equivalent of cerebral palsy. About: I’ve had animals for my entire life, including dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, birds, and fish. For the past seven years, I have volunteered at a shelter walking dogs, caring for cats, leading volunteers, and some medical work. I have also previously held management positions at said shelter before leaving to prioritize school. I am well-versed in medication administration (oral, topical, and injection), participate in a pet vaccine and microchip administration clinic weekly, and am experienced in administering oral and subcutaneous fluids in triage cases. I have also been trained in tube feeding and have been doing so for about two years. I foster medically needy neonatal kittens, small rodents, and canine behavioral cases where I focus on socialization, as well as disabled animals. I currently have four dogs and four cats of my own, one of my dogs being a double amputee in a wheelchair and another requiring daily medication for chronic allergies. I shadowed a service dog trainer, Melissa Yank, for about six months and am fascinated by dog behavior, which is why I take on behavioral cases. About: I’ve had a drive to care for animals my entire life! I grew up with dogs and mostly cats and would dog-sitting for family members anytime they needed! I’ve always known that I wanted to work with animals when I grew up but veterinary care would make me too sad as it physically pains me to see sad and hurt animals:( I also have a history with horses and competing! I spent a summer(2023) in Louisiana volunteering at a barn where retired racehorses would get sent to rehab, retrain, and eventually rehome! I would spend all day helping rehab the horses! I worked at PetSmart both in the store as a PetCare Specialist and in the Grooming Salon as a Professional Bather! During my time there I realized how much I love making pets and their parents happy and a little more healthier! I loved talking with pet parents and educating them while also hearing about their furry babies! Nothing made me happier than seeing one of my clients walking in - tail wagging! I have a dog and a cat of my own! My dog is a mini Australian Shepherd whom I have trained myself! He loves to do agility training! I also groom him myself! I rescued my cat from the side of a freeway when he was a little kitten. He’s had some medical issues regarding his bladder so I’m well rounded with cat care and administering medicine! My cat is now my little Velcro kitty who always wants to be involved in what I’m doing! I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs- big and small! While I normally don’t have a preference between the two, I am currently pregnant with my first so I’m only really able to physically handle small/medium dogs for the time being. About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs, and I am very comfortable around all types. I have volunteered at the Dane County Humane Society as an Adoption Counselor while in college, so I have undergone behavior training for many aspects of dog care. I am familiar with walking dogs on leases, with harnesses, using commands, as well as resource guarding, jumpy/mouthy/mounting behavior, shy/fearfulness, and escape artists. I only use positive reinforcement for training. I have an educational background in genetics and public health, and I am involved in my local religious community as well. In my spare time I’m learning to crochet, and I love playing with my dog Pax, a chihuahua/pomeranian mix whom I’ve recently adopted. I work from home, so am around most of the day, and have a small fenced in patio for potty breaks between walks. I’m a fan of the local dog parks, and will bring your dog there with your permission. I work from home, so my dog gets a minimum of 3 walks around the neighborhood and we often go to a local dog park too after work. I’m rarely away from home for more than 4 hours at a time. My fenced in patio is open for potty breaks, but I usually do a minimum of 3 walks per day around my neighborhood. I’m also happy to bring them to dog parks for socialization. Since I have a dog myself, there will also be plenty of socialization at home.
