She took great care of her and kept us updated with plenty of photos and videos of Lucky’s daily life, along with detailed summaries of her routine—meals, playtime, and potty breaks. This really put our minds at ease while we were away. Sein was also very responsive and always quick to answer any questions or concerns. Lucky clearly enjoyed her stay, especially spending time with the other dogs and cats. We truly appreciate her care and will definitely bring Lucky back again in the future!”

“My Border-Aussie (7.5 yrs old) stayed with Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho for 5 nights and 6 days (while I was 400 miles away with my kids). How can I describe their care? Heroic. Yes, heroic. My pup had not stayed at Rover or away from family in about 3 years - and had always had a great time at Rover hosts. This time he apparently decided to express separation anxiety with loss of use of rear legs and bowels for two days! Kimmy and Jesse were sending photos and text every few hours while I tried to get a mobile vet there (they don’t do emergencies it turns out). But we started to reason that all didn’t make sense based on timing! They got a lifting harness and diapers and were on full time watch. But I most regret the anxiety and worry they went through. By day 3 he was up and about and day 5 and 6 having a grand old time. Conclusion? Border Drama - yup it’s a thing. He does have some intermittent weakness in right rear leg but this was a true performance which they handled with so much compassion toward Jango and grace toward me. I literally do not know any friends or neighbors who could have handled situation better or who I could have trusted more. I’ve owned Border Collies for over 25 years and this was a new one even for me! They are exceptional folks who genuinely love dogs and are a blessing. They even took a photo they gave to me of Jango with the caption “Best Drama King” lol. Thku Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho!”

My husband and I became dog owners in 2021 when we adopted Beau, our rescued 8-year-old Chocolate Lab/Weimaraner mix. I’ve trained him myself, which has given me valuable experience with large breeds, daily exercise, basic obedience, and understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds and take the time to get to know each dog’s individual personality, routine, and preferences. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playing fetch, puzzle toys, or simply relaxing at home, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I offer boarding in my home, where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Beau has a calm, gentle personality and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. He thrives on his routine, and because of that, I understand how important consistency is for pets. I always prioritize safe introductions and make sure every pet feels comfortable, secure, and loved while they’re in my care. As a middle school administrator, I’m dependable, organized, patient, and attentive to detail. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for a beloved family member, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay. Since school is currently on summer break, I have flexible availability for boarding, house sitting, walks, and drop-in visits. During the school year, I’m available for morning drop-in visits before work, afternoons after 4:30 p.m., evenings, and weekends. During the summer, I have a very flexible schedule and am available for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks throughout the day. Once the school year begins, I typically start work at 7:45 a.m. which means I’m also available for morning drop-in visits before work if needed. After work, I’m generally available beginning around 4:30 p.m., as well as evenings and weekends. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine and make sure they receive plenty of exercise, attention, and affection! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. My husband and I live in a spacious 1,200-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment with our calm, friendly 8-year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix. We have plenty of room for dogs to relax indoors, along with easy access to a large grassy area right outside our home for bathroom breaks. We also live next to a walking trail, nearby schools with open fields, and two local dog parks for dogs who enjoy extra exercise and socialization. Every pet is different, so I’ll always follow your preferences and routine, whether that means leisurely neighborhood walks, playtime, or simply sticking to familiar habits. I carefully introduce dogs when appropriate, supervise interactions, and provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was little. I've cared for my own throughout the years as well as walked, house sat, and cared for many others' dogs! My work schedule is different every week but I get mine typically a month ahead of time and can plan accordingly. I'm open to scheduling same day or ahead of time if time allows. As long as care instructions are provided, I will happily follow what is needed for your pet. I believe communication and safety is most important!

“My Border-Aussie (7.5 yrs old) stayed with Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho for 5 nights and 6 days (while I was 400 miles away with my kids). How can I describe their care? Heroic. Yes, heroic. My pup had not stayed at Rover or away from family in about 3 years - and had always had a great time at Rover hosts. This time he apparently decided to express separation anxiety with loss of use of rear legs and bowels for two days! Kimmy and Jesse were sending photos and text every few hours while I tried to get a mobile vet there (they don’t do emergencies it turns out). But we started to reason that all didn’t make sense based on timing! They got a lifting harness and diapers and were on full time watch. But I most regret the anxiety and worry they went through. By day 3 he was up and about and day 5 and 6 having a grand old time. Conclusion? Border Drama - yup it’s a thing. He does have some intermittent weakness in right rear leg but this was a true performance which they handled with so much compassion toward Jango and grace toward me. I literally do not know any friends or neighbors who could have handled situation better or who I could have trusted more. I’ve owned Border Collies for over 25 years and this was a new one even for me! They are exceptional folks who genuinely love dogs and are a blessing. They even took a photo they gave to me of Jango with the caption “Best Drama King” lol. Thku Kimmy, Jesse and Tycho!”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life (at one point we had 5 at time!) love taking them for long walks, teaching them new tricks like weave (and handstand!), and engaging their minds with agility. My senior dog recently passed and while I am not ready to get a new dog just yet, I miss having a dog so want to occasionally dog sit to help others out with their dogs before getting another dog of my own. I work full time but occasionally work from home. For this reason, Thursday to Sunday or Monday is best for me. I am active and love going on walks, hikes, and runs in and around the beautiful Portola Valley neighborhood. I love to hang on the couch and snuggle in the evenings! Dogs (non shedding) allowed on the bed :) My large backyard is fenced. My husband Dave and I often are asked by friends to help train their dogs because we love to help and are good at it! :)
