At pick up time, she was flexible and willing to coordinate with my friend as I was not able to pick up Charlie myself. About: I've loved cats since I was a little kid, but since I grew up in a house full of 3 dogs, I was only able to spend time with them at friends and family friends' houses. In college, however, I've had the opportunity to foster cats, which has been an incredible experience. I took care of a brother-sister duo for 6 months, having them from the time they were 4 weeks, and having to deal with all quarantine protocols and the occasional vet visit. After obtaining ringworm from the shelter they came from, my roommates and I took did all the necessary protocols to bring them back to full health, including giving them oral injections and pills every day, as well as topical creams. We also took care of them after their spay/neuter process, so I'm no stranger to kitties with cones or who need medicine. I also had the opportunity to foster a litter of 6 baby kittens, all of whom we had to bottle feed and give constant attention to. Despite not having cats growing up, I feel very knowledgeable and responsible in my abilities as a cat caretaker.

Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. I have a doggy door for dogs who prefer to let themselves in/out at their leisure. I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture.

About: Last year I said goodbye to my 17 year-old dog Max, just a few months after my cat Scotty passed away suddenly from kidney disease. Thankfully, Scotty's sister Star is still with me and thriving, but I really miss being around and caring for other animals. I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and the gentle care they require. I'm also very familiar with younger dogs of all sizes. And I've fostered a lot of cats - mainly kittens - which is how Star and Scotty originally came into my life. About: What’s the most important thing all dog owners want to know before entrusting their dogs to a stranger? Well first of all I’m from Jersey. I’ll play with your dog, make sure they’re happy, take them on a walk, not lose them, and feed them only what you tell me to feed them. No human food, I promise. Unless of course that’s in your list of food to give them. Of course hydrate them as well. I know the do’s and don’ts of a dog’s diet since I have 2 of my own. I’ve also been fostering dogs on and off for the past 3 years. I am known to be reliable and responsible, so I can assure you that you can rest easy with leaving your dog(s) in my care. Or if you have a cat, I also get along super well with them since I also have 2 of my own! I work from home so I do have some flexibility or if you need eyes on your little one for long hours I will also be able to do that. I do have 2 cats so I have pet gates up to separate my cats from any dogs. The dogs get free roaming of the living room which tends to be enough for my two dogs plus any friends they’ve had over. Routine in my home is key. At your home, I’ll stick to your routine and respect your house rules. Whatever you require, it will be respected.

In college I also fostered cats – a sibling duo I took care of for 6 months, as well as a litter of 6 kittens – so I love to be with both dogs and cats alike, and know how to take care of both sweet creatures :) I'm available for dog walking, dog sitting, or cat sitting, and have availability throughout the week (with only Sunday afternoons fully blocked off). I can take care of small and big dogs alike, and love to be active – so no amount of energy is too much for me! I have taken care of dogs from 6 weeks to 14 years, and cats from 2 weeks to 6 years old. About: I’ve grown up around big dogs such as labs my entire life which has made me very comfortable around animals. I also rode horses for 14 years so have worked with many types and sizes of farm animals. I have my own kitties and have cared for friends cats and dogs as well. I can do absolutely anything you or your animal need. I’m a very active person who loves hiking, long walks, and spending time outdoors, so bringing a dog along is something I genuinely enjoy. I’m also an early riser and have no problem getting up for morning walks, feedings, or whatever routine your pet is used to. I can say with confidence that I've never had a new dog shy away from me, I believe they can sense my warm, welcoming energy and know I am a friend. I've had pets and dogs my entire life. “I have a 2.5 year old male Boston Terrier that I needed last second boarding for 4 nights. My friend was to keep him while I was gone but had a medical emergency and had to back out at the last second. I messaged Therese & a couple of other people. “Albert, Cat, and Trey were so lovely to work with! They were very responsive and provided me with plenty of updates and photos. Trey and Lola seemed to be fast friends and were "patrolling" the (gated) back yard together when I arrived to pick her up. They treated Lola like family and ensured that Lola got her AM/PM medications. They even sent her home with an adorable little report card that I hung up on the fridge because it sparks joy.
