We were actually going to Texas for the weekend, and ended up getting stranded there as a result of the epic winter storm. Our immediate concern was what to do with Jaz, and we asked Javier to extend the boarding 2 more nights, which he was more than happy to do for us. He clearly has a great love of dogs, and was very conscientious regarding the amount of food we had left for Jaz, as well as the medicine/vitamins she's currently taking. We will absolutely reach out to Javier for next time, and would recommend him for anyone that needs to find a safe place for their own pup.”

Most importantly, she genuinely seemed to like my cats! My last trip was long so she stayed overnights as one of my cats is very needy and gets stressed when on his own for too long. He immediately took to Alex and was glued to her for most of her stay. She took amazing care of both my kitties and was understanding and accepting of my other cat’s boundaries and need for space. In addition, she was kind enough to feed 5 feral cats that I care for in my back yard. My apartment was just as I left it when I got back - garbage taken out, dishes washed, blankets folded etc. Little things but makes such a difference when you’re tired after coming home from a long day of travel. About: I raised my 2 mini schnauzers from puppyhood through their twilight years and loved every second of it. We made many other dog friends along the way, including the occasional sleepover. I work remotely from home, so it’s easy for me to adapt to whatever schedule your dog is used to! I travel for 2-3 weeks in the year around (but typically not during) holidays. My apartment complex is gated with great walking areas for the community’s many pets. A public park is just next door with hiking trails for higher energy pups. I also have extra beds, crates, leashes, bowls, and toys if you forget yours or prefer not to haul them around.

About: We both have had and cared for dogs since we were children. We’d be very happy to open up our home to your best friend. My wife and I work from home so your dog will never be alone for long. About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. I love caring for pets—cats, dogs, and birds of all types and sizes—and I’m happy to welcome other small animals too, just let me know! Leon is an indoor kitty with unlimited access to fresh air and sunshine from his lounging cots attached to our large windows. He loves his wet food, and his meals are on a “flexible” schedule, and no all day grazing. He receives lots of playtime with his humans and more independently. Of course, he gets brushed, not always with a happy purr, but he gets as much as he will tolerate.
