She and her husband live on a nice street with sidewalks and grassy areas that are perfect for dogs to go on their walks. I am sure Charlie loved it. At pick up time, she was flexible and willing to coordinate with my friend as I was not able to pick up Charlie myself. I would recommend her highly and would not hesitate to have Charlie stay with her in the future.”

Needless to say, we will be getting a new auto-feeder but keeping the same catsitter in the future if we can, haha. About: I raised my 2 mini schnauzers from puppyhood through their twilight years and loved every second of it. We made many other dog friends along the way, including the occasional sleepover. I work remotely from home, so it’s easy for me to adapt to whatever schedule your dog is used to! I travel for 2-3 weeks in the year around (but typically not during) holidays. My apartment complex is gated with great walking areas for the community’s many pets. A public park is just next door with hiking trails for higher energy pups. I also have extra beds, crates, leashes, bowls, and toys if you forget yours or prefer not to haul them around.

Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. I have a doggy door for dogs who prefer to let themselves in/out at their leisure. I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture.

When we met Sandi and her husband Jeff the first time, our dog was very relaxed and more friendly and affectionate than he ever is with new people. He seemed very comfortable in their home and their yard and we were relieved to have found a place that we felt comfortable trying again. During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed. I loved the photos she sent, updating us several times over the couple of days we were gone, and we will definitely call again the next time we leave town. What a relief!”
