About: I’ve had and cared for cats since I was probably 8 years old. I’m one of the “oooh kitty” type people who most pet every cat I see on a walk (if they let me that is). I’ve raised a few senior kitties, one that passed last year at 15 and another that is now about 13 with cerebellar hypoplasia. I also have a TNR& semi-feral turned lovey cat that bonded to me after I trapped and care for her for a few weeks after a pretty bad injury. So I’d say I’m fairly experienced with senior cats and medical care.
About: I’ve always loved dogs since I was young and there has always been a few in my home. I also having experienced taking care of a family friends 3 yorkies as well as their three 4 week old puppies and I myself have 3 pugs, a german shepard, and shitzu mix. I currently work on base Mon-Fri and am off my 3pm everyday which still leaves me plenty of time for enjoy playing with any pup! I love going on hikes and typically take the dogs on a walk either early morning or the later evening just so they can release some energy well getting in some exercise! In a clients home I ensure the pets are well fed, I can walk them, crate them in needed or let them outside to use the bathroom and or play!

“I was such a nervous wreck leaving my pups but Kara was so reassuring and patient especially with Cody because we’re still potty training. Cody came out to meet us and was so boisterous and happy you could tell he must have had a good time.”
“This was my first time ever needing a dog sitter who wasn't a family member or friend and having my current 6 month old timid velcro puppy means that I had to be extra wary of where I leave her. When Anya and I met Audra during the meet and greet we were able to chat for a while and I felt totally comfortable explaining my own concerns and Anyas needs of patience and time. Audra was able to address them all and the answers she gave made me feel she would be a great fit. Dropping off my puppy was hard but it was easier knowing that someone who seems to really love dogs and was capable of accomodating a more timid dog had her. I was able to get updates throughout her daycare stay and when I picked her up she seemed perfectly fine and elated to see me. Driving home she was plum tuckered out and napped but when she got back home Anya was back to her regularly scheduled trouble. I gave her a look over and saw no issues and behavioral wise Anya acts as if she had never been gone at all. Afterwards I asked Audra some questions about Anya and how she did to follow up with her dog training and received prompt responses that will help me make sure that this timid pup continues to thrive and grow in confidence. If I have to find someone to watch her again or need an overnight boarding I will definitely see if Audra is available first.”

I have Tile floors so some accidents are ok! I don’t use cages, unless you prefer them. About: I myself currently have 4 cats and 1 gecko and grew up with tons of pets including dogs, rabbits, and birds. I also raised and sold livestock at the fair. About: Aside from raising my own 2 fur babies ( 2 kitties now), I’ve helped take care of others’ pets from large Dobermans to small kittens. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter primarily walking and socializing with the big dogs. I’ve raised both cats and dogs to senior years (I lost my old dog girl and kitty girl last year, both 15). As my title states, I’m an RN and am very comfortable with giving medications to fur babies (as I do with humans) as well as taking care of any illness issues within reason (wound care/ monitoring / accidents). When it comes to senior care of animals, I understand the need for them to get extra special love and attention, and medication to keep them as happy and healthy as possible. I believe in making pets as comfortable as possible and letting them know that I’m there to help and give love (if they want). When it comes to dog walking, I’m really vigilant about our surroundings and making sure that dogs get a good safe walk. I definitely gravitate towards animals over humans haha. I work part-time out of town, and so I have a lot of time spent at home with my own animals. I want to spend my time I have to help others too (hence also my volunteering at the animal shelter right now to). I prefer to spend time with pets as much as allowed in their home while also following routines previously set for them. Whether it’s playing out in the back yard, or just hanging out together on the couch or floor and relaxing, I like the pet to know that I’m there and not alone. If crating is necessary or part of the dogs routine, I can do that too.
