“We had such a great experience with Cecilia and Ethan! I was honestly a little nervous at first since I had never used Rover before or had strangers care for our dogs, especially since one of our dogs requires daily medication. We decided to do an initial meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know Cecilia and Ethan and make sure they were the right fit, and I’m so glad we did! I shared a detailed care guide with them, and they followed everything to a tee. They were incredibly responsible, attentive, and responsive throughout our entire trip. They also went above and beyond by taking our dogs out to the lake and even to Monterey! We received lots of photos and videos every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs basically had a little vacation of their own! 🥹 It’s very clear that Cecilia and Ethan genuinely care about dogs and put a lot of thought into making sure they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. About: I have been taking care of pets basically all my life, at my grandma house we use to have a lot of animals, and she taught me the love that they need and now I want to keep sharing that love. I’m a staying at home mom for now so I have most of the time free to play with animals, give them love and take care of them. About: We’ve had pets all our lives. Currently, we have two cats. For the most part, someone is always WFH. The only day one of us isn’t WFH is Thursday. If we know early enough, we can flex our schedules if any sitting is needed on Thursday. We’ve watched bunnies, cats, and dogs for friends/family including giving medication. We have had no aggression from our pets with the pets we’ve watched. We have a second room(atm being used as an office/guest room), so if you want your pet separate from ours pets, that is something we can accommodate. For dogs during boarding, our household prefers dogs that tend to ignore our cats. Also, we have a preference for senior dogs since they tend to be low energy and do not require long walks to use the restroom. For cats, we have experience with all kinds of energy and ages. If you have a cat with a lot of energy, our Taro girl has shown that she loves playing with all the energetic kitties and helps them come out of their shell. However, both our cats can adapt to senior cats as they both love to lounge. We are willing to negotiate our prices if you believe your pet to be low maintenance or if for example doggy daycare, your pet would be with us for less than 7 hours. Just ask and we can see what we can do during the meet and greet. There is usually always someone at home except Thursday. If you need sitting help on a Thursday, reach out early and we can see about flexing our WFH schedule for that week. One of us is a morning person and the other an evening person in case you have a pet with a weird schedule. We ask for a clear schedule such as when to walk and feed and follow it. This information will always vary depending on the pet or even if they are on medication. For all pets, we’ve given them some space, especially from our pets and seen if they can interact or not depending on what their owners want. We also try to incorporate playtime if they want that.

About: I raised my own Scottish Terrier from 2010 to 2022. I would walk Terry with other dogs around Lake Elizabeth anytime there was the sun in the sky I’m free anytime from 8am to 2pm. About: We have shared our home with dogs and cats for over 30 years. For more than two decades, we've served as a foster home for Furry Friends Rescue, caring for dogs and cats of every age, breed, temperament, and medical need while they waited for their forever homes. That kind of fostering means we've handled it all: bottle-feeding newborn kittens, house-training anxious rescue puppies, managing senior pets with arthritis or special diets, and giving extra patience to animals recovering from neglect or trauma. We know how to read an animal's body language, spot early signs something's wrong, and adjust our approach to fit each pet's personality rather than expecting them to adjust to us. We no longer have pets of our own, which means your pet gets our full attention, energy, and home, without competing with a resident dog or cat for space or affection. Our house is calm, comfortable, and set up for animals to feel safe. We do still have foster cats that are friendly with other animals. Whether your pet needs a quiet, structured routine, extra TLC, or just an experienced hand who won't be fazed by anything, we've likely already seen it and handled it with care. Pet care isn't squeezed into our schedule, it is our schedule. Both of us are home full-time, with no kids and no pets of our own, so your dog(s) or cat(s) gets our undivided attention rather than fitting in around a job or a household routine. With two of us in the home, we can cover any schedule your animal needs, whether that's specific feeding times, medication a few times a day, or simply consistent company and playtime throughout the day. If one of us needs to step out, the other is always here, so your cat is never left alone for long. We're also equipped for whatever the situation calls for. We have crates and carriers on hand, and a large SUV if transport is ever needed, whether that's a vet visit, a pickup or drop-off, or anything else that comes up. Because we no longer have pets of our own, your cat isn't sharing our time, space, or attention with a resident animal. Our days are genuinely built around being available and present, which is exactly the kind of routine that comes from over 20 years of fostering. We own our home, which includes a large fenced yard and patio, giving pets plenty of safe space to run, play, and explore outside. We have no neighboring animals, so there are no surprise fence-line encounters or added stress from unfamiliar pets nearby. For dogs, we get outside for walks every day, rain or shine, so your pet stays on their normal exercise routine even while away from home. Indoors, pets have the run of a calm, comfortable home rather than being confined to one room. We tailor our approach to each animal's personality, whether that means a structured routine, extra quiet time, or simply consistent companionship throughout the day. For longer stays we can send pictures too. We have an established relationship with our own veterinarian and are comfortable handling special needs animals, including pets on medication schedules, seniors with mobility or dietary needs, or animals recovering from illness or injury. This comes directly from over 20 years of fostering through Furry Friends Rescue, where we regularly cared for animals with medical or behavioral needs that required extra attention and consistency. Whatever the service, boarding, drop-in visits, or house sitting, your pet gets a safe, secure environment, plenty of space, and two experienced caregivers who know how to watch for and respond to their individual needs.

I tend to walk in the morning and afternoon when it’s not too hot on their paws. I carry a portable water bowl to keep hydrated and medical pet kit with me at all times. I will stay in constant communication with pet owner(s) on their pets’ activity through the Rover app or by text. Please provide me with any emergency contacts and safety instructions you would like me to follow in case of an emergency or natural disaster arises. We decided to do an initial meet-and-greet beforehand so we could get to know Cecilia and Ethan and make sure they were the right fit, and I’m so glad we did! “I am happy we found Xiaokun. Our foster fail puppy who is a 6 month German Shepherd went to him for multiple doggy day care days and one boarding visit. She came back each time happy and tired. I really appreciated how Xiaokun followed our instructions and had great communication, especially when we boarded our pup shortly after her spay surgery. Also loved that on the doggy day care days he took our pup on awesome hikes/walks and sent pics for our peace of mind. About: I have been taking care of pets basically all my life, at my grandma house we use to have a lot of animals, and she taught me the love that they need and now I want to keep sharing that love. I’m a staying at home mom for now so I have most of the time free to play with animals, give them love and take care of them. “We boarded our German shepherd (Bentley) with Ken for nearly 2 weeks while we were out of the country. We were extremely happy with the way Ken took care of our Bentley. Ken was very professional and extremely caring towards Bentley. He was flexible with the drop-off/pick-up timings. He kept us up to date with pictures and videos almost every day :) I even had to suggest that he didn't need to send pictures & videos that often :) Bentley has made friends with Neo, which is wonderful for us coz Bentley wouldn't easily mingle with other pets. Pallavi paid close attention to even the smallest details about my poodle. She made sure to understand Zoey’s schedule, routine, and how comfortable she is around other dogs and people. Their dog, Luna, is also very friendly and sweet. Pallavi frequently sent me updates and photos, which gave me a lot of reassurance. They spent genuine quality time with Zoey, really getting to know her. Even when Zoey had an injury, they cared for her so well and kept me updated throughout. Pallavi truly went the extra mile- gradually introducing Zoey to Luna, asking before giving her snacks, setting up a comfortable space for her in their home, and giving her so much love and attention.
