“Absolutely Fantastic. Amanda takes excellent care of your pooch and ensures they are well cared for, walked and played with. I highly recommend her for your boarding needs.”

“Mel & Co. are magic. My dogs came home happy, joyful, and clearly celebrated—not just cared for. Her home brings out the very best in them. They’re now completely conked out, the satisfied kind of tired that only comes after a true Disneyland-level stay. I’d book with Mel for a fourth time without hesitation. Highest recommendation.”

“I left my 5 year old maltipoo for a 4 night stay with Clairece and I cannot say enough about her, from her *Terrific, prompt communications, to her *Friendly, kind approach, to her *Excellent, detailed check-ins throughout the day, which she initiated; complete with pictures and updates with several bery happy looking walks and even couch time. I especially appreciated *How much Clairece cared and loved on my pup! It was 4th of July weekend, so I anticipated my pup to be nervous. Chauncey can already be a bit fidgity and clingy to his person. No problems though! He obviously fell for Clairece😍, as every photo showed a big grin across his face and that told the whole story! Also, when Chauncey wasnt really eating his food because of separation from me, Clairece quickly pivoted to giving him fresh food with my approval. I could not have been happier with this whole experience. Will 100% use Clairece's services again! Im sure Chauncey cant wait to go back!”

“We (including our dachshund Monty!) absolutely loved working with Nadine and Louie. They were gentle and welcoming and took such good care of our dog moving through a period of anxiety. We're so grateful to connect with them and will be returning.”

About: I’m a proud toy poodle mom of two, so caring for small dogs is part of my everyday life. Dogs are very special to me, especially as a deaf person—I rely on body language and visual awareness, which makes me extremely observant and attentive to a dog’s needs, behavior, and safety. What sets me apart is my patience, calm energy, and strong understanding of how dogs communicate without words. I’m especially comfortable with small breeds, shy dogs, and dogs who need gentle care. I work alongside my mom in her home childcare business, which is located right next to my house. Because of this, I am home most of the day and nearby at all times. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and supervision. Pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods. They become part of our calm, structured daily routine and receive lots of attention and care throughout the day. Safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and supervised home environment. I closely monitor body language and behavior to ensure every dog feels safe and relaxed. I follow feeding schedules, give regular potty breaks, and keep pet parents updated with messages and photos. Your pet will be treated with love and care, just like my own two toy poodles.
“We brought our dog, Gracie, back to Sandra for a second time; this time for one night and two days. Sandra sent us many videos and photos each day of Gracie enjoying her stay and playing with their dog Bruce. We look forward to Gracie’s next stay with Sandra.”

“Veronica is amazing, we had a meet and greet with her and her husband prior to dropping off our pup Finn, they put us right at ease with how wonderful they are. She sent updates while we were gone and took such great care of him. We would love to use them again whenever we have another trip he’s unable to join us on. Such an awesome experience!! :)”

“Our two-day dog boarding with Keota was absolutely wonderful! Our dog settled in quickly and happily interacted with the hosts and their other pets. A huge thank you to Keota and her family for taking such great care of our dog while we were able to explore Sequoia Park. Keota was very attentive, regularly keeping us posted and sharing pictures and video of our dog. We definitely recommend them—an excellent place to leave your beloved four-legged pet!”

“Diana was absolutely amazing! She took incredible care of Stark and Rufio over the Thanksgiving weekend, and we had complete peace of mind the entire time. Her communication was a 10/10 she sent daily updates, photos, and even surprised us with adorable holiday pictures of our pups by the Christmas tree. Such a thoughtful touch! Her home was spotless, our boys were clearly comfortable and happy, and she truly went above and beyond in every way. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Honestly, 10/10. We will definitely be booking with her again. Highly, highly recommend!”

“My Curly had a great time with Laurel and her pups. It was his first time away from home so he was a bit nervous but Laurel made sure to make him feel right at home. She made sure to send us photos and videos of him which assured us he was safe and in good hands. Thanks so much Laurel we are grateful for you. until next time 😊”

“Arianna took wonderful care of our pup on short notice. She sent us adorable pictures and kept us in the loop (: we are so grateful for her help and will absolutely be reaching out to her in the future!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for family, friends, and neighbors for 4 years now. I have some experience grooming others' dogs, however mostly my own. They still loved the way their buddy came out and continue to come to me! I enjoy doing this job so I decided to make it more public. Hope I can help many other people and their babies even more! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is open and flexible. I don't like to leave pets alone for too long, so for no more than 4 hours. Whether it's just to give them a potty break or to give them the attention they deserve. I have a fenced yard and live in a community with a dog park. How I take care of your babies is up to you. I understand every dog is different and so if their owner! So just let me know what you do for them and I will integrate it into their daily schedule. During the summer, the dogs will be kept inside an air conditioned home. Preferably when no one is home then they will be in a crate, however if they are guaranteed not to chew on personal items or pee inside, then they can roam inside freely. During winter, dogs can be kept outside, but it really depends on the owner's preferences.

“Kristina is a great pet sitter! She is amazing with cats and even had our skittish boy coming out to say hello. We will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for pet sitters.”

About: Im very good with animals and tending for their needs. When my friends ask for my help I happily agree whether its picking up after them, giving baths, taking them on walks or just playing. I've volunteered at the bark for life in Exeter and helped run the booth, which made me realize how fun it was to see dogs and do something fun with them for a good cause. I really love animals so I always want to do the best, to take care of them as well as make sure they are happy and healthy no matter how big or small. I also have Experience house sitting families dogs. The longest I've house sat for a family friend was around 6 months. I am currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to care of your pets! My schedule is very flex able and I'd love to work around your schedule. Before anything I like to gain the trust of the dog to make sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. I haven taken care of a family dog that had anxiety meeting new people, so I implemented special techniques ( such as having my back faced away from the dog and giving them a treat) being very patient and friendly is how I make sure they feel safe.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and I also worked at a doggy day care so I know how to handle many different types of situations with high energy and/or aggressive breeds. I’m currently in college and doing online classes so trying to make extra money while being able to do something I love and be able to create my own schedule. I do not have a fenced yard but I do have a very respectful golden retriever who grew up around an elderly dog. He loves to play and I am able to walk multiple dogs at once and my home has lots of space to play and stretch their legs.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all different breeds my entire life. I can help with certain training reinforcements while they’re here if you’d like, and I’m also very experienced with providing basic medical treatments to animals for sicknesses, cuts, etc. I have animal specific IV bags, antibiotics, pain meds, ready to go in the very unlikely event that they’ll be needed. I also have a great relationship with a local mobile vet service. Please bring your own dog food, mostly to avoid tummy aches. Our pets are some of our best friends. In our household we treat them like family and enjoy all the time we spend together. Whether it’s spent lounging around or going on our daily walks to the store around the corner. We don’t consider it a chore at all, it’s simply part of our lifestyle. I work from home almost every day, occasionally work requires me to leave for a couple hours once or twice a week but in that instance my wife would be home watching the pets. They are our priority and we schedule around them!
About: I worked as a professional dog walker and sitter in San Francisco in 2019. As a huge dog lover, this was a dream come true! I worked for a local company, Citizen Hound, and fell in love with every aspect of the job (and every pup!). I was responsible for two packs of 6-8 dogs who I would pick up/drop off and take for one hour walks every day. Typically these walks would be off leash, at the beach or a park, so I went through extensive training to receive my walking permit. Having grown up with dogs of my own, I understand that dogs are owner's babies, making sure to treat each dog as if they were my own! I sat many of the dogs in my packs as well as other dogs in the company that year. I have been volunteering at animal shelters for the past 7 years and therefore have experience walking a variety of dogs. I have sat blind and sick dogs, so I am comfortable with medications as well as other special needs (eye drops, IBS, separation anxiety, etc). When sitting, I love to take dogs on hikes or even to the dog park, with owners permission, to make sure they are getting exercise. I always update owners frequently and send lot of pictures! I miss all of the dogs from my packs and am looking to create new connections with both dogs and owners here in Sacramento. I would prefer to have regular clients, however I am also open to one time walks/sits. Although I am just getting started on Rover in the area, I highly encourage you to look up reviews for Citizen Hound to see the standard of care I expect of myself (: I’m currently enrolled in an online master’s program and am self employed, so my schedule is very open and flexible! I would especially love to help out during the late morning and early afternoon hours while owners are at work/school. My apartment is unfortunately not pet friendly, however I have experience pet sitting in owner’s homes. I have found this to be especially beneficial for dogs who like to stick to their regular routine and surroundings. I love taking dogs on adventures during our sits, with owner permission, and make sure to send frequent updates and photos!
“Words cannot express how amazing Erica was to my little cat Calvin!!! She took great care of him, kept me informed and went above and beyond to show my super shy cat some love! She is definitely going to be my go-to sitter and gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. Definitely would recommend!!”

“Patricia did amazing job checking in on Calvin my cat! She updated me and even took pictures. She made sure he had food and water! It definitely gave me peace of mind going on a trip I’m being away from him for the first time”

“Clairece took wonderful care of Josie during our California road trip! From the moment we arrived, she was so friendly and welcoming, which immediately put us at ease. She has a great yard for dogs to explore, and we loved that she took the time to thoughtfully introduce Josie to her own pets. Throughout the stay, Clairece sent us photos of Josie happily exploring the yard and getting comfortable, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were on the road. We truly appreciated the care and attention she gave Josie and would absolutely book with her again!”

“Mel watched our dog while we spent the day in sequoia national park. She sent us fun videos of him playing with other dogs. We had her do some grooming while he was with her and he was returned to us looking great! Our dog had a blast and was well cared for. Highly appreciate and recommend!”

“Thank you for hanging out with my timid little rescue pup. She was helped to come out of her shell with you. Thank you also for the calm and confident handling of "me" as this was the 1st time I left Moira Rose with a pet sitter!”

“Adam and his beautiful family were so welcoming to me and Neo. If I’m ever in the area again I’d definitely reach out to see if they could watch him and he could spend time with Moose. Thanks so much you guys!”

“Gail is friendly, communicative, flexible, and great with dogs. My dog is anxious and takes a while to warm up to new people and places, so I always worry about leaving her with a sitter. Turns out I had nothing to with about with Gail. She came prepared with a treat and before I knew it, I was getting updates and pictures of my pup making herself right at home. My dog was happy and relaxed when I picked her up in the evening. I would definitely take my dog back to Gail if I visit the area again in the future.”

“Laurel did a great job taking care of Zeus. She was very sweet, responsive and communicative with his doggie day care. She kept me updated with the stay throughout day. Zeus had a great time while in her care. I would definitely recommend and rebook again. Thank you again! :)”

About: I’ve taken care of several different breeds of dogs since I was 5yrs old. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to care for their pets while they are away. I love getting to play with them and go on walks. I am always very careful with animals in general and do my best to go above and beyond for them because there is so much that they can’t fully communicate to us. I have always loved animals and am so thankful that I not only get to enjoy my dog but others as wellz I currently work from home and I am home most of the time. I walk my dog in the morning and once in the evening. We play throughout the day in the backyard. I feed, walk, play, brush, cuddle, pet, play, and love your pet like my own. I know how to bathe most dogs as well as use a dryer to dry them.
“Our 5 month old, very energetic puppy had a great playdate today, starting with a very cute “Welcome” sign, just for her. Beautiful, pet friendly home, with a fenced dog area. We got several videos of her playing throughout the day, which put our minds at ease. It was such a great experience that we’ve already booked an overnight stay.”

I have took their dogs to go outside use the restroom, feed them, walk them. I bathe my own pets, feed, and walk them as well. My pets are trained to be inside and outside. I currently work two pet time jobs that I set my own schedule for. I typically am free in the mornings and in the evenings. I have a fenced back yard. My back yard is split into sections so I can easily keep my dogs away from other dogs I care for if the owner is uncomfortable. I have plenty of room in my house for a crate or puppy pads and more. My home is very welcoming to pets.
“Madison was a joy to work with! She was responsive to all our communications and adjusted the walking schedule according to our local weather. She was very patient with our dog, kept us informed of her walks, and sent photos every day. We highly recommend using her and we plan on using her services again.”

About: I’ve taken care of many kinds of dogs since I was 12 and now I’m 18. I have a big dog of my own that’s playful and loving. I love all dogs and cats because they’re so sweet and caring and give unconditional love. I currently work part-time at McDonald’s so my schedule could be a bit mixed up but on my free time I would love to spend time with pets! I can’t take care of pets in my home because I have no yard. However I would be a great dog walker/babysitter in your lovely pets home!

She sent me texts and pictures every day with updates on his well being and to let me know he was being a good boy. She even went down to the store and bought him some toys to play with.
