“Jessie was wonderful to work with! She happily met Maisey and me for a meet and greet before I booked. She took care of my shy, scared rescue puppy for the first time she had been away from me. Jessie rose to the challenges my girl presented. She sent photo updates and responded to my nervous dog mom messages. I absolutely trust Jessie and it gave me comfort to know Maisey was with her and well taken care of while I was far away!”

“We booked Ann to watch our pug for 4 days. She sent us lots of pictures and updates, which we really appreciated. When our flight coming home was delayed, she was very accommodating and understanding. We really liked how she followed all Covid protocols and her home is very clean and welcoming. We will definitely use her in the future!”
“Our pup had the best time with Zia and family. We got daily updates and communication was perfect! We highly recommend Zia if you want your dog to get wonderful attention and love. Look forward to booking with them again.”

“Cindy was very wonderful and did a great job taking care of my dog, Finley while I was gone for a couple days. She sent me frequent updates and pictures which was really nice and relieving for me. I would definitely have her watch Finley again in the future!”

“This was Michelle’s first visit with my busy kitty crew, and I felt comfortable, and knew they were In Good hands, the moment that I met with her. This was also a last minute booking, and Michelle was gracious and accommodating. Thank you for the care, and for making a last minute trip, possible for our family, Michelle.”

About: I am currently a student at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine to become a vet! I have had pets at home since elementary school including dogs, cats, and chickens. At home I play an integral role caring for each of my pets. My love for animals extends outside of the house as I look to work with animals professionally as a veterinarian. I have 8 years of experience volunteering and working at veterinary clinics. Through my work, I have learned to handle all kinds of breeds and temperaments. I am so excited to work with your pets and provide incredible service. Shoot me a message with any questions or requests and I will be sure to respond day-of. I am currently in my second year of vet school and will have openings most days at various times to care for all your dog's and/or cat's needs before, after, and between classes. I have previous experience as a veterinary assistant, which consisted of caring for pets, so this will just be an extension of the same care I provided in the animal hospital and the animals I care for in vet school. I am very comfortable tending to all the needs of your pets including walking, feeding, playing with, cleaning up after, and giving medications. I am confident in handling dogs and cats and will ensure their safety around other animals.
“Ally was so caring and communicative, we felt very comfortable with our pup, Eva, in her care! Many appropriate experiences and outings to make for an interesting time during Eva’s stay, and pictures for us to enjoy during our own trip. Thank you so much!”

“We have used Marya a few time for daycare. This is the first time we've had to leave town for a few days and Mochi has ever done boarding. He came home happy and healthy as usual.”

“My dog did wonderfully with Kirsten! I've tried a few different boarding options and Kirsten is by far the best! She sent a daily update to let me know how it was going and was very quick and responsive to communication about both pickup and drop off times. I will certainly be using Kirsten again for my boarding needs.”

“I highly recommend Pandi and her husband Tim. They both work from home and we’re very attentive to the details of my dog’s care. Their two school-age kids and little dog Scruffy made for a fun, active stay. I appreciated the photos and updates too.”

About: **I don't charge for additional pets!! I’ve always been an animal enthusiast growing up in the country I did whatever I could to be around animals constantly. In our home we had four dogs, two hamsters, a corn snake, a half-blind horse, countless hermit crabs, and a parakeet. There is truly no animal I don't love and won't do my best to care for. Growing up with these animals I've had the privilege to be there when they were puppies/kittens/babies all the way through the end of their life, so I have extensive experience with care in every life stage. I've carried that love and passion with me into adulthood. As an adult I've worked for a year as a kennel technician at a humane society enriching, socializing, training, and advocating for dogs, cats, and small animals. I also regularly volunteer time at humane societies when I can and regularly foster cats, to date I've successfully fostered over 10 cats who are now all in happy homes. Through fostering I've experienced some harder care cases. Including fostering 3 week old sick kittens requiring syringe feedings, multiple medications, and detailed weight tracking. I've also had the privilege of fostering a hospice case who required food, liquid, and medication administration through an e-tube along with extensive monitoring. No matter what kind of care your pet needs I will do my best to ensure they receive the love, respect, and attention they deserve. I look forward to helping you and your furry (and maybe scaly) family members! I'm avaliable for drop-ins, boarding, and walking M-F after 2:30 PM! I can also do breakfast drop-ins during the week between 5:00-5:30 AM, or earlier if need be. I'm open and available most weekends for all pet care, I keep my schedule updated 3 months out! If you want to book further than 3 months just send me a message and I'm happy to work with you! My top priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable and safe. Each visit, walk, or stay is individual and entirely customizable for your pet. To ensure your pet receives the best care I require an initial meet and greet, or phone call so we can discuss what the ideal care looks like. I prioritize customizable care, communication, and enrichment to make sure your pet has the best 'staycation' ever!

I additionally shadow professional dog trainers twice a week to continue expanding my skills. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments and am committed to providing safe, structured, and individualized care! I often work from home and enjoy going on hikes in my free time (with the dogs of course)! Specifics will vary dog by dog, but I make sure everyone is happy! Please message me for more details! I am versed in pet dog training, and place an emphasis on safety for everyone, including consistent reading of canine body language, proactive safety measures, and attention to detail. “Morgan is exceptionally detail-oriented and provided outstanding care for my boys. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and clear communication gave me complete confidence that they were in excellent hands. It was evident that she genuinely cared about their well-being and went above and beyond to ensure they were comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend Morgan to anyone seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and compassionate dog sitter.”

“Carmen was just the person we needed to give us peace of mind knowing our cat was cared for while we were away for the week. She followed instructions provided, asked follow up questions for clarification when needed, and showed great patience as our cat was quite shy for the first few days.”

“Megan was fantastic with my cat Norman. Norman is a diabetic cat who can be aggressive with strangers when they try to give insulin, so it's often tough to find sitters who can manage him. I was so happy with how patient and compassionate Megan was with him. She was extremely reliable and a great communicator, and was able to make sure he got his insulin on time everyday. I would really highly recommend Megan, you can definitely trust her to take great care of your pet!”

About: I’m a cat owner myself, so I understand that every cat has their own personality and boundaries. I’m comfortable with feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, brushing, and giving cats plenty of attention while also respecting their space. I’ll treat your cat with the same care and patience that I give my own.

“We hired Jessica for a long weekend while we were on vacation. Jessica went above and beyond for our two cats and sent lots of pictures! I would highly recommend her and definitely book again!”

“Sydney showed up at 8am before we left for our day to Disneyland. We acquainted her with our two dogs and they took to her right away.. Sydney really has a way with dogs. They both loved her so much, immediately. Our dog situation isn’t easy. We have a four year-old American bully and a one year-old very energetic pitbull who’s so much fun however, for the time being we’re keeping both dogs separate and Sydney kept both of our dogs, safe & clean, and even though Henny had an accident, Sydney cleaned up everything & was even able to feed her and get her back in her crate safe safely. Our family is so grateful to Sydney for taking such incredible care of our family dogs! Thank you!”

“Jessie is wonderful to have as our pet sitter! She communicates well and was so great with Oslo. She is totally trustworthy and we will definitely be calling upon her again!”

“Wyatt took care of Simba in our Christmas break. He was very consistent in timing and followed each of the tasks on time. Simba was in great conditions when we came back from the vacation. We would love to work with Wyatt again in future. Thank you”

About: Ever since I was a little kid, I'd always wanted to get a kitten, so that's what I did as soon as I got my first apartment! In addition to caring for my own two furbabies, I have experience with caring for cats through petsitting and family members' cats.
“We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dina! Time and time again, she has gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make things work with her schedule. She is incredibly dependable, flexible, and genuinely caring. On one occasion, she even carried cat litter up three flights of stairs because they needed it, something she absolutely didn’t have to do, but did without hesitation. It gives us such peace of mind knowing our cats are in the hands of someone who truly cares about their comfort and well-being. Thank you Dina!!!!”

“Michelle was a great cat sitter! Our two cats recently had a bad vet visit and have been super skittish and stressed, but Michelle took great care of them and there were no issues at all! Communication was great, too! We will definitely book Michelle again!”

“Sofia had great communication and updated me during every visit she had with my pug. Even though my dog can be stubborn when it comes to eating, she always made sure he ate and was taken care of.”

Whether you have dogs, cats, fish, frogs, snakes, lizards, or other unique pets, I'm committed to providing attentive care and plenty of play time to help your pets feel safe and comfortable while you're away. At 16, I started pet sitting, which has given me experience caring for a wide variety of animals at all stages of life, from weaning kittens to senior pups. I'm hoping to find part-time pet sitting work for those living in the city of Davis. If you have any questions, please reach out. I look forward to working with you! Whenever I have extra time in the day, I like to spend it with pets! As a newcomer to Davis, I'm hoping to incorporate pet sitting into my weekly routine while getting to know the community. Please reach out for further scheduling details. Thank you! At the beginning of each visit, I make sure pets have a chance to go potty, then I check, wash, and refill their water bowls and follow any feeding or medication instructions provided. I like to keep a written checklist for every visit so I wont miss an important task! Once their basic needs are taken care of, I love spending time with them by playing, brushing, petting, or going on walks (only with owner approval and at appropriate temperatures!). “Ann E. was a great sitter! I had a day-long event for work and reached out to Ann just a few days ahead to take care of my dog, Beau. She was super accommodating and even let me drop my dog off at 6am. Throughout the day, Ann sent me pictures of Beau looking super happy. She also walked him multiple times and gave me written updates on how Beau was doing. Once I picked him up, he was extremely happy and did not exhibit any characteristics of anxiety. I would gladly have Ann take care of my dog again. I would also recommend Ann for any folks looking for a sitter :)”

“Anna, was fantastic for my 16 yr old Chihuahua mix dog. Very understanding of Chica’s limitations and seemed to enjoy my old girl. Sent nice pictures and kept me updated on Chica’s day. I could tell my dog enjoyed being there. Anna’s dog experience was evident. I would definitely use her again when I travel to Davis area again. Very comfortable with my dog in her care.”

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 3 year old daughter and 6 month old son. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and babies. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

About: I've always liked to rescue animals and care for them from a young age. So lots of my family and friends would bring animals to me or trust me to petsit for them. I've not only cared for dogs and cats, but also turtles, toads, and a few birds. I'm currently solely attending classes so I have plenty of availability for your pets to always feel well cared for during their stay with me! I have a fenced patio, luckily there are a few pet friendly parks that surround me. I follow any instructions given for your pet care to a T since no one knows your pet like you do. I have a housemate, but she is just as loving to any animal brought in.
About: I’ve been walking dogs/dogsitting since I was a kid so I just love doing this as side hobby! I worked at a vet clinic for 2 years and I’m also an animal science major on a pre-vet track at UC Davis. I’m currently a full time student, Mondays are my busiest, have class from 10-6. Tuesday: class 8-12. Wednesdays: 10-12; 5-6pm. Thursdays: fully free. Friday: 10-5 I don’t have any pets, so I try to do as much as I can with the furbabies. This is basically therapy to me by just hanging out with the babies!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I grew up in a household that always had multiple pets (fish, dogs, hamsters) and have since expanded my love for animals by dog sitting and cat sitting for friends and family in the neighborhood. I am offering dog walking, sitting and other pet care services for whatever furry friend you need! I’m excited to get started with Rover and build community connections in Davis! When I dog sit for friends, I make sure to give regular potty breaks every couple of hours and maintain an environment that is safe and comforting for your pet.

“She is an amazing pet sitter! She is great with my dog, is very reliable, and I always know that my dog is safe with her and having fun! She walks my dog, throws the ball for her and lets her get energy out and use the bathroom while I’m at work and I always know she’s in good hands. She’s great at communication and is really flexible about what time she comes over. I highly recommend her!!”

“Carmen has been a terrific dog walker for our two hounds. They were practically smiling in the photos she’d send us each day. 5 stars and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Davis area looking for assistance with their pets.”

“Suhani took wonderful care of my corgi, Willy, for a few hours, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. She went above and beyond by baking homemade dog treats for him, taking him on a nice walk, and showering him with plenty of love and attention. When I picked Willy up, he was happy, relaxed, and pleasantly tired—the perfect sign that he had a fun and enriching time. It's clear that Suhani genuinely cares about dogs and treats them like her own. I would absolutely trust her with Willy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, thoughtful, and reliable pet sitter.”

“This was my first time ever using Rover or hiring a dog walker and Nora was AMAZING!! She was so wonderful with my senior lab and flexible with her needs. Thank you for taking such great care of her while I was away!”

I have experience with almost all animals, and I’d love to help take care of yours! I take care of two pets of my own, but currently don’t have a stable job. My days are open! Might as well do what I love and get payed for it. XD I have a calm smaller dog, and a cat who LOVES dogs (she’s strange I know). I live right next to a huge park and walking trail.
“I couldn’t ask for anything more from Xitlalli! From the moment I met her, it was evident that she is very knowledgeable and comfortable with big dogs. My dog Texas loved her instantly, and I knew right then that he will be in good hands! During the session, she was very communicative and sent me updates on their activities, which calmed my worries. She is the best dog walker and would definitely request her again and again!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for animals and have genuine love for every pet. My goal is to make sure all pets feel safe and comfortable. I have two dogs of my own, and I treat every pet I care for or come in contact with like they are part of my family. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine as I have two dogs of my own. I am used to feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for pets. I enjoy spending time with animals and would be happy to include pet sitting and walks in my weekly routine. I care for pets by following their owners instructions and keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable. In a clients home, I respect their space and maintain the pets normal routine as much as possible. In my home and/or clients home I will make sure the pets have fresh water, food, exercise, playtime, rest time, and plenty of attention.
About: With over 20 years of dedicated pet experience, I have developed a deep understanding and profound love for animals of all kinds. My journey began with adopting my first dog, a lively mixed breed, which ignited my passion for animal welfare. Over the years, my home has been a sanctuary for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and even reptiles (upon occasion). I work from home most of the week, so I have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of other working professionals that are looking for a reliable, passionate pet sitter to take their fur babies on walks (or runs) while keeping them within their familiar environment. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to welcome any pets in my house. I have fur babies of my own that I do not wish to upset their home life.
“Esmerilda is an absolutely fantastic person and cares immensely for our dog. She has been our weekly dog walker for a little over 6 months--Our dog is a rescue and was quite difficult in the beginning, but Esmerilda has done a lot to help train and rehabilitate her. She also has done house sitting for us. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone who needs help with their dogs.”

About: I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for 12+ years, with a strong background in rescue, behavior, and training. Since 2023, I’ve fostered dogs through Front Street Animal Shelter, including dogs with significant behavioral challenges. I also train my own rescue dog in sports and have experience working through reactivity, separation anxiety, and lack of socialization. I’ve cared for many dogs with varying needs, so I am easily adaptable but safety always remains a priority.
“Erika was super sweet and communicative. She took Juno out for walks and gave frequent updates with pictures. She made sure Juno was comfortable and took great care of her. Would definitely recommend.”

“My pup received wonderful love and care from Marie & James. I received photos and videos at least twice a day. Will trust them again with my doggy when we travel.”

About: I have been a dog lover ever since I was young and I got my first dog when I was 7. I took care of him until he left me. I feel like all animals around me are my best friends. I also volunteered in a non governmental organization in the Philippines to help out with animals who are in need and needs love and attention. Interned in a pet clinic which taught me how to prepare their medicine and inject them in their IV lines If only I could adopt all those animals who need a home I would rush to any animal shelter and provide everything they need. I think that’s what makes me different from other sitters and walkers because in the future I want to be a veterinarian and save animals. It has been my dream to help these lovely creatures. I’m currently a full time veterinary assistant who works Monday to Friday. I have an hour lunch so if its close or they are staying with me, I can swing by and check in on them. During weekends, I am available. I provide a safe environment by dog/cat proofing my place. I am very particular about making sure they don’t get into absolutely anything. These pets are treated like my own. Under my watch, they are treated the best care they possibly can get.
“I cannot recommend Sunshine & Shannon highly enough! They were fantastic with my last-minute request and so kind to my sweet pooch, who can be a bit nervous in new situations. From the start, they treated him like their own, and we couldn’t have been happier with the care he received. We loved the frequent updates and adorable pictures that kept us at ease while he stayed with them. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they look after. If you’re looking for a compassionate and professional dogsitter, look no further!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets and homes for more than 25 years, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles, and have spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and through TrustedHousesitters. Earlier in my career, I worked at a veterinary office, which gave me hands-on experience with animal care. I’ve also volunteered with Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue, helping with transportation, fostering dogs in need, and walking dogs at the rescue. That’s actually where I met and eventually adopted my own Golden Retriever and Mini Goldendoodle! My family has been active on TrustedHousesitters for the past two years, both as pet owners and sitters. Being on the other side of the experience has given us a real appreciation for how important it is to find someone trustworthy, responsible, and genuinely caring to look after your pets. We love giving that same peace of mind to other pet parents. I work full-time, but spending time with animals is one of my favorite things to do in my free time. Whether it’s going for a walk, playing, giving belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. ❤️ I work from home most days so am open to taking care of pets in the morning, lunch time, and in the evenings. I am available on weekends with a 1 week notice. I can also stay at your house and work remotely if you require someone to be with your pets throughout the day. I care for every pet as if they were my own, giving them plenty of love, attention, and care. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I do not like kenneling dogs so unless this is a request of yours, your dog(s) will not be kenneled. They will have full roam of my house and will have access 24/7 to the backyard via the doggy door.
“Our dog stayed with April for a long weekend and April was wonderful. She’s really sweet with our dog and I could tell put her at ease. We came home to a happy, tired pup! Looking forward to our next stay with April.”
