“Our vacation is over & we had a wonderful time without having to worry about our American bulldog Lucy!! We knew when we left her with Peter that she was in excellent hands. She had other doggy playmates & had a wondeful time playing with them & Peter assured us when we picked her up that they enjoyed her very much & that all went well! I cannot tell you how much it meant to us to be able to leave Lucy in such good hands with people who obviously love animals and treat them so lovingly! We will definitely be using DogVacay in the future & Peter will be our first choice! Thank you again Peter for an excellent job well done!! P&M”

He kept me updated with pictures throughout Halo’s stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. His daughter was so sweet and happy to have Halo there, and I could tell Halo felt right at home. It was only for one night, but the experience was excellent. I’ll definitely be using Biswas again in the future!”

“Jennifer was great and gave my family and I a peace of mind while we left our new puppy in her hands to care for. She loves animals and it shows. She treated our puppy as if it was her own. Jennifer also knew a puppy took extra care- and walked her in the morning and at night to avoid the zoomies. Photos and/or a video was sent several times during our vacation which truly made our day! We will absolutely use Jennifer again for future trips while we’re in the puppy stage. Thanks again, Jennifer and family. Freyja says “Ruff!””

Great app!! Wow!!!”

About: I have loved animals my entire life and always went out of my way to interact with them whenever I could. At the age of 14, my family decided to adopt a cat. We rescued her from the SFSPCA and I was the one in charge of her car. We later adopted two more cats from the SFSPCA over the next two years. I also grew up with Akitas, a Pittbull/Labrador Retriever mix, fish, and hamsters. As a young adult, I adopted and trained a Blue Heeler/Pitbull mix from 9-weeks-old. I also fostered a variety of animals from 2010-2012, from dogs and cats, to hamsters and exotics (including a hedgehog, rabbits, ferrets, and chinchillas). Today I am a single mom with two amazing older children. Our household is still full of animal love! We are owned by an adopted, blind Pekingese/Tibetan Spaniel mix, two rescued cats, two rescued tortoises, two betta fish, two African dwarf frogs, a Pixie frog, two scorpions, two vinegaroons, and a Gargoyle Gecko. I currently work evenings only. This leaves my days free to care for my own family’s animals companions and for the animal companions of others! ❤️ I believe in treating anyone’s animals not only with the same respect and care I would want for my own, but also the love and care I offer to my own animal companions. I have animals with a variety of needs and am used to being flexible and meeting animals where they are. ❤️
“Maria checked in on our cat while we were out of town. Sent pics and made sure everything was clean and fresh, and spoiled her w lots of treats. :) it was nice knowing our cat was not completely alone while we were gone.”

About: Hi! While I have primarily grown up around dogs, I have always loved cats and enjoy their unique personalities, independence, and affectionate nature. I understand that every cat is different, and I am committed to providing patient, gentle and attentive care based on their individual needs and comfort level.

“Michele was amazing caring for my senior cat. She was very prepared and even before I left I was sure Emmy would be in good hands. She also went above and beyond by noticing that the cat seemed off and taking her to the vet, which might have saved her life! Overall, it was a great experience for both the cat and me.”

“Jessica was great! She was a great communicator and kept me updated with photos and videos so I could see my little fur angel while away. She even went above and beyond by offering to water my poor plants that I had just traumatized after repotting them! Jessica arrived right on time for our meet-and-greet and clearly understood how cats operate — giving Ree space to come to her first. I felt comfortable with Jessica knowing my cat (and plants!) were in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“We just got home from our trip and we're happy to have Cristal take good care of our cats. She's been amazing in giving daily updates and photos, and for her extra care and effort, which made us at ease while we're away. I'll definitely be booking her in the future!”

“Megan was an absolute delight to work with. She was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. Communication was great and the visits are very thorough. She gave plenty of pictures, a detailed report and really just made it very comfortable for us knowing our 2 senior cats were well taken care of. Highly recommend booking with Megan!”

“Our frenchie spent an exciting day with Vanson’s dogs. He loves to run around and that’s exactly what he did. Vanson sent photos and a video of Bentley having fun. This was Bentley’s first stay with Vanson and it was a success.”

“Nakul was the best thing that happened to my pups. I have many dogs and thus have worked with many sitters. But Nakul was the best sitter I have ever worked with. I needed to board my 18 dogs at the last moment because of some issues with my property. Nakul not only agreed at the 11th hour, but also took care of them like his own. All of my 18 dogs had a room for themselves and they had a big yard to run around. He took a great picture of my dogs all in one frame which I have never been able to. He is truly a dog whisperer. Nakul has earned a client for life. 100% recommended.”

“Colleen looked after our dog Mocha twice, and each time was absolutely wonderful! Right from the meet and greet, Colleen's warm and caring nature put both Mocha and us at ease. Mocha took an instant liking to her, which made us feel really comfortable leaving our furry family member in her care. Colleen's communication was spot-on, always keeping us updated with messages and pictures throughout the day. It was such a relief to know that Mocha was in good hands and enjoying her time with Colleen. We're so grateful to have found Colleen through Rover and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable doggy day care.”

About: I have pet sat for my friends and family, varying from German Shepard, doodles, dachshund, and my own pugs. I think of my dogs like my own kids and I would treat yours like they were your children. Happy to pet sit and walk your dogs as I get my steps in! I currently work part time and have the capacity to check in on dogs and do overnight stays. I am happy to care for your dogs during work hours, excursions, or travel. I would walk the dogs depending on how much exercise they need and the weather. I would play with them and feed them and ensure they have plenty of water and get their potty breaks.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and ages since I was 10 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to check in, feed, walk, and play with their pets while they’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy giving pets the love and care they need. Special focus on making sure every animal feels safe, happy, and comfortable in their own home. I'm currently employed full time so weekend walks fits my schedule best but late nights or early (before 7) mornings can work for me too! I have been through the chewing or clawing/mischievous phase with my own dogs, cats and family pets so you don't have to worry about them being sneaky, I've got you covered!
About: I’m a dog lover and mom. I had a Boston Terrier who passed away. She was by my side kick for 15 years. One of my most favorite things to do was come home from work and walk my dog. So I’d love to share my love of walking with your dog! We love the companionship of dogs. We welcome any dogs for walks and overnight stays. I love dogs and they love me! I don’t mind the kisses or giving them the best belly scratches! I believe dogs give us a reason to smile and are a reminder to always lead with love. I promise to love your dog as if he/she were my own. I’m looking forward to spending time outside in different neighborhoods with new dogs. Please message me with any questions. I work locally and come home for a 2 hour lunch break. My teenagers are home around 3 pm so the longest time that dogs are alone is 2-3 hours (depending on if I have an early lunch). I walk the dogs in the morning for about 1-2 miles through the neighborhood. I walk them on my lunch again for about .5-1 mile. Then one more long walk when I get home. I feed them when we return from our morning and evening walks. Unless, there is a preferred set schedule for feeding. Your dog will be loved and cared for as if he/she is our own. We always walk on-leash. We separate the dogs during feeding times.

About: I've had pets most of my life - cats, dogs, and even a snake. My wife and I had a dog who passed a couple of years ago, and now we have two dogs who are 2 and almost 2. I'm a middle school teacher, and my wife works from home, so someone will be with the dogs most of the time if they're at our house. We're comfortable with dogs of any age and can handle excitable puppy energy, as well as provide medications. If your dog(s) are at our house, they'll get to run and play with our dogs, who rarely meet a dog they don't like. I'm a teacher who is gone during the day, and my wife works from home. If I'm at your house, I will leave to go teach for the day, but at our house, my wife can provide potty breaks or play time during the day. Weekends are flexible. I often dog-sit for our neighbors when they are out of town, and I give the dogs lots of love, pets, and play time. I feed them on their parents' schedules with appropriate food and medicine. For the senior dog, I lift him to be able ot go outside and potty. Whenever I'm caring for my dogs or others, I follow the instructions for those pets and give them lots of love and attention.

I am happy to crate them or let them free roam when gone, as per your discretion, and I'm always mindful of objects around the house that could be accidentally ingested or they could hurt themselves on.
“Melissa was great. Although my poor scared sensitive rescue Chi always hid from her, Melissa was aware and made sure she did what she could to make Trinket stay calm. She was only able to pet her unfortunately. Trinket is so small she can go and hide in the smallest spaces and it was not easy to get her out. I will definitely use Melissa again once Trinket gains more confidence.”

“We had an amazing experience boarding Banana with Justine. She’s super nice and knowledgeable about caring for dogs. She was awesome at sending pictures and video updates. She has a wonderful yard and house with plenty of room to play. Banana had a great time staying with Justine.”

“I’m so grateful for the wonderful care Biswas provided for my dog, Halo. It was a last-minute booking, but he was kind enough to meet with us the night before to make sure it was a good fit.

“Our dog loved staying at Stefanie’s with her dog Prince. She always sent us updates and pictures. We would love to rebook with her in the future because she’s amazing!”

“Stacy was such a great fit for our healer with big feelings! She is knowledgeable, kind and easy to communicate with. Stacy sent pics and updates - and it was clear at pickup that Cali enjoyed her stay.”
“This was my first time using Rover, and since we’ve had our dog, Comet, for only a few months, I was feeling really unsure about the whole process. Allison completely put my mind at ease. It’s clear she has a wealth of knowledge and experience with dogs. She has now watched Comet on multiple occasions, both for overnight boarding and daycare. Comet is always so excited to go back, which is the true review right there! He has so much fun that he usually needs a full day of recovery when he gets home! If she's able to she will take Comet out for a walk but there is so much room for him to run around and play in her yard that he always finds a way to get all his energy out. Allison is incredibly thoughtful, friendly, and consistent with sending pictures and updates throughout the day. I definitely recommend her and plan to continue entrusting her with Comet's care.”

“Karen did an excellent job taking care of our dog Lola. She was really easy to communicate with, made Lola feel totally at home and provided a bunch of pictures. Lola was in a great mood when I picked her up and had clearly been well taken care of. Will be booking with Karen again in the future!”

“Pratik was an AMAZING sitter. They made us feel so comfortable by doing a virtual meet and greet (we didn’t have time to do an in person). They took such good care of our two babies and sent lots of pictures throughout the whole stay. We will 100% be using them again in the future!”

“Sabrina is great and professional! She took such great care of Riley, he was so happy & had so much fun. In all the pictures we got he was smiling. We will definitely be calling her again when we go out of town again. I highly recommend her!”
About: Hello, my name is Kristen. I am a dog lover with over a decade of experience housesitting and petsitting and have experience working with dogs of all ages, temperaments and breeds. I grew up with a cocker spaniel and a labradoodle and feel most at peace in the presence of animals. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and currently work fully remote. I live in a home in Concord with a large fenced in yard. Your pet must be house trained with reliable recall. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! I currently work fully remote (part-time) for a medical center in the East Bay. I am typically available to take pets out for a potty break and walk every 2-3 hours. Pets are allowed on all furniture and beds, however, if they have a particular preference for their own bed or crate I have space to accommodate.
“Best dog sitting experience we’ve ever had! Virginia and Max have a such a loving, caring, and beautiful family that we felt so great leaving our dog with. We will definitely be using them in the future!”

“Mauro and Allison were the first people my best friend has stayed with that wasn't family since he was born and with me being 2,000 miles away I was anxious about him but they were so great that after 2 days I almost forgotten all about it. 5 stars isn't adequate to how happy I am with their services.”

“This was our first time using Rover, so we were nervous. But it was a great experience! Daisy spent four nights at Ruth’s house and, as the only dog, got lots of TLC! Thank you, Ruth, for keeping us posted and for the great pics - and for loving Daisy while we were away! She’ll be back, for sure!”

“Kamila took very good care of our cats. She is very responsive in providing updates via Rover and text so we can have peace of mind during our long trip. My wife has always wanted to find a sitter who loves cats and we are glad we found Kamila.”
