She is also very easy to communicate with. She watched my dogs Sierra and Simba. Sierra is a 10 year old golden retriever, and Simba is a 16 year old Pekingese. Simba is blind and deaf. He is a very old dog. She did an incredible job with both dogs. She wiped and cleaned the eye boogers out of my elderly dog’s eyes and changed his diapers (he’s incontinent). She made sure the dogs got so much love and attention throughout the day. The dogs had free range of a fenced yard and were allowed up on the furniture. Sierra loves to hang out on furniture. About: As a child we weren't allowed to have cats despite wanting one. My brother and I secretly fed and cared for a stray in our garage until we were caught and had to find a proper home for her. Now my parents have a cat! I've cared for Cali a few times in recent years when they would travel. Most recently I spent three months in Italy at a villa and part of my job was to care for Tinker, a brave and friendly male cat whom I adored. My friend Beth also has cat I have grown to love and care for along with her dogs over the past two years. I've cared for both indoor and outdoor cats.
About: I’m the mom to a cat named Zeppelin, a dog named Stevie and a horse named Cece. I successfully trained both Stevie and Zeppelin (yes you can train a cat!) myself and have dabbled in equine training as well. Being the guardian of a nervous, reactive pup, I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and dog body language. After bringing Stevie home, I was quickly thrown into the world of dog training and behavior modification out of necessity and I have a special place in my heart for nervous pups. About: I grew up with both dogs and cats, I even had a gecko when I was younger. I have lived with and cared for pets my whole life. I grew up with a orange tabby cat, and recently lived with a Bombay and an American shorthair. I have also cat sat an Egyptian Mau and a Nebelung. My friends call me the cat whisperer because even when they say "he/she isn't keen to newcomers, the cat tends to feel comfortable with me right from the start". This is something I love seeing since cats are known to be more picky about who they chose to rub against or get close to. I have also grown up around and cared for a variety of dogs. To list a few dog breeds I have cared for: American Eskimo, Labrador, Golden Retrieves, Huskie, Malamute, German Shepard, Cavapoo, Belgian Malinois, Golden Doodle, Beagle, Wiener dog, Katahula, Mountain Cur, Boxer. My first dog was an American Eskimo , and then my family also had a couple Labs and currently have a Katahula/Mountain Cur mix. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with the care of their pets. I have experience working with working dogs (Belgian Malinois, German Shepard) and caring for them on strict schedules as my best friend has 2 working dogs that have alternating schedules and crate times. My last roommate has a Cavapoo and since I work fully remote I spent the days caring for him, taking him on walks, feeding him dinner, I even gave him bathes though he didn't particularly enjoy them. I love to go for runs/walks and love to cuddle. I promise that if you chose me to care for your pet they will receive all the love I have to offer. I do not mind if they are on the furniture but that is a personal preference and understand the need for consistency with animals. About: I am an animal lover who has always had dogs in my home. I have a large backyard with shade and a big garage dedicated to large dogs, and I also accommodate smaller dogs in the house. I am a full time pet sitter home all day with our guests. Please ask if you need anything particular for your family members and I will do our best to accommodate. “Cori is the sweetest and nicest sitter I have met in Salinas. I was pretty excited to leave Moon with her because she seemed to understand huskys and their attitudes and shenanigans they tend to come with. She never made me feel bad about moons behaviors and I loved that. Moon had seemed to have a little bit of a rough time because she does not like cats and we both assumed it might be because she smelled a lot around the neighborhood cori lives in. Moon howled and barked A Lot and I appreciate cori for putting up with that. About: I have the most experience with various dog breeds young and old. More recently I have grown to also love and care for cats. Most of my full time experience has been with my personal dogs. Zoe, an Australian Shepard, was a shining light in my life for 14 years. Prior to Zoe I had Max, a sweet and gentle Rottweiler I was with for 6 years. For the past 4 years I've been spending a lot of time caring for the beloved pets and homes of my friends and family. I'm a retired teacher so my schedule is pretty flexible. Tell me about your dog's special likes, dislikes, fears, and behavioral quirks so we can make dog feel at home. Your dog must be able to manage the steps to get in and out of the house, be willing to use the doggie ramp, or be small enough for me to carry up and down. Must be housebroken. Please provide crate if crate trained and more comfortable in the crate. Or, provide favorite bed or blanket. Otherwise, we have a collection of blankets. Please bring your dog's favorite toy. Some large dogs accepted, depending on size, breed, and degree of training. A meet and greet is a must for most dogs. Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans will not be accepted under any circumstances. He is a very old dog. She did an incredible job with both dogs. She wiped and cleaned the eye boogers out of my elderly dog’s eyes and changed his diapers (he’s incontinent). She made sure the dogs got so much love and attention throughout the day. The dogs had free range of a fenced yard and were allowed up on the furniture. Sierra loves to hang out on furniture.
