“My dog stayed with Shannon for a week, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. Shannon was friendly, responsive, and provided daily photo and video updates, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Shannon was also very accommodating with the pick-up time which I really appreciated. I think my dog enjoyed his little own "vacation" too!”

“George was very happy in Amy&Justin care. We received frequent and positive updates about his stay. There were very flexible and easy to communicate with us. We are very satisfied and would recommend!”

“Melissa was the perfect person to take care of our Sara. She had a great time with Melissa’s pups and family. She kept us informed on how Sara was doing each day. This was great for us as it was Sara’s first boarding experience. We know Sara had a blast!! Melissa thank you for welcoming Sara, Rich and I. We enjoyed you and meeting your family!! Hugs 🤗. Thank you.”

“Alexa is an angel! We have two dogs whom are used to being with my husband and I 24/7 because we both work remotely. We are very selective in who we have watch our boys while we are gone (typically family or friends would come to our home and stay with them)… but we moved from Southern to Northern California so need to figure out an alternative. After searching Rover I came across Alexa’s profile and read each review and she stood out as someone that could be a good fit for my boys. I reached out and was immediately impressed with Alexa’s responsiveness, and decided to proceed with an introduction. It couldn’t have gone better. Alexa had clearly studied my dogs profiles to get familiar with the basic needs of each and I appreciated the questions she asked to understand their normal routine. Within just a short time of drop off, Alexa sent an update with pictures which allowed us to see that they were making themselves right at home and enjoying play time and snuggles. My Boys looked relaxed, content, and exercised. I’ll definitely book with Alexa again!”

“This is the first time we left our dog Ginger in the care of Ruchi and her family, and we are happy that we did. At the Meet & Greet, we were impressed with how clean their home was and how orderly they attended to their dog guests and their own dogs. When we dropped off Ginger to stay, she immediately made herself at home. Ruchi gave us updates and sent photos and videos several times a day for the entire stay. We appreciated this as it gave us peace of mind that Ginger was in good hands. We look forward to bringing Ginger back to Ruchi's home the next time we need a sitter.”

“Michelle was absolutely amazing!! She was professional, took my puppy directions very well and had great communication while I was gone. She is a natural with dogs and that made me that much more confident to leave my dog with her. Definitely will be using her more in the future!”

“So very highly recommended!!! Our puppy loves being in their home and receives the best care. The pictures and communications we get while we’re away is such a special touch!”

“Amber accepted our request on late notice. She had a nice yard for our dog to explore and took her on a long walk! Amber sent me photos multiple times to keep me updated on how my dog was doing. I definitely recommend her services!”

“Pranavi was great at caring for my Golden Retriever, Nellie. Nellie was cared for and spoiled. I was sent pictures and updates daily. This was our second time leaving her with Pranavi and she didn’t want to leave her home.”

“My little dachshund had been with the same dog sitter for 11 years. Adrienne was great with her. She was patient giving Bailee time to settle in. She provided pics to share with us. Thank you”

“Derek and his family were so hospitable to Winnie. They sent many pictures and were very responsive with any questions asked. This was my first time using rover and Derek and I will definitely use their services again.”

About: I have always had a pet dog throughout my life, so being around dogs feels natural to me. Taking care of them has been part of my daily routine, from feeding and walking them to making sure they are happy and healthy. Over time, I’ve learned how to understand their behavior and needs, which has helped me build a strong connection with them. Dogs have always been an important part of my life, and I enjoy spending time with them and caring for them. I work from home and love the challenge of some dogs. I wake up at 5 and feed my own dog and do some work. After I usually take him out for walks through the day. I walk him about 2 miles and can also walk your own dog, just tell me and I can do it. I can also follow any strict dietary restrictions if your dogs requires it for food. After around 3 I am free and spend time with my dogs all day after and chill with him beside me. But, if your dogs requires sheds a lot, I can’t promise he will be sleeping with me or be laying on the couch, I have a specialized ginormous dog bed for he/she. I live in El Dorado Hills, so it is very hilly in some areas, including my home. I have a big dog kennel outside that is surrounded by a fence, while I have a large dog cage inside my house that can also be used. I also have a area for the dogs to run and play in my backyard.
“Becky was great! She took such good care of our dog Nacho. Sent updates several times everyday with pictures and videos. You could tell Nacho was having a great time and it gave us peace of mind. Will definitely use Becky again!”

“Elaine is an amazing, experienced sitter and knew just how to help Floyd feel comfortable and settle in for a short stay. I appreciate the great communication and frequent updates. 100% would recommend her to anyone looking for a safe, caring environment for their animals.”

“Lots of photo and video updates! Sharon & Henry are so kind and the dogs really feel safe with them. The extra love and care to make sure my boys felt safe after we moved here and it was my first time going out of town, made us all feel so much better. 10/10 would recommend booking with them!”

“Sharon was a wondedul sitter for our dog, Libby. Libby is a rescue dog, and can sometimes be nervous and shy. Within just a few hours, Sharon had her playing with them and the other dogs, as if she was one of the family! Sharon sent pictures and texts throughout Libby's stay to keep us posted on how Libby was doing. Libby had such a great time there, and we will definitely be using Sharon again.”

“Jena and her family took the absolute best care of our dog, Juno. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease knowing she was in such loving hands. They treated her like one of their own, and it showed. Juno was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We had total peace of mind while we were away, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Jena again. Highly recommend!”

“Our first ever time using rover and it was a success thanks to Irina! Stitch had an absolute blast playing with the other dogs and I appreciated Irina sending photos to put us at ease.”

“Cole provided excellent care and attention for our indoor and our outdoor(feral) cats. Instructions were followed perfectly, and we received detailed updates and communications, and plenty of photos of both of them which we looked forward to receiving for each visit. Will definitely be using Cole again in the future, 10/10 service! Thank you ☺️”

“Ruth took excellent care of our 3 kitties! I love that she was very thorough and took the time to let us know in detail everything she did with each visit. Although our kitties are very shy and hid under the bed when she came over, she still made sure to check on them and snap a pic so we could see their glowing eyes under the bed. ? We would definitely recommend Ruth and will be happy to have her care for our kitties again. ?”

“Justin is easy to work with and a great communicator. We appreciated that he got back to us right away to confirm his availability and provided twice daily updates on our dogs. We won’t hesitate to recommend him to our friends and neighbors. Thanks Justin!”

“Elaine’s care of our sweet two young kitties was truly wonderful. We received the most thoughtful lovely updates regularly with photos. “Shannon and her husband were amazing! They're very caring people. They also have a French bulldog which was a plus for our frenchie. When it came time to pick up our pup, she didn't want to leave. That's the best sign of a successful playdate. Anyway, we highly recommend Shannon and we will definitely be using her again. Thanks, Shannon!! :)”

“My high-energy large Lab and Golden Retriever puppy had an amazing day with Michelle and her family on their farm, and came home tired and well-cared for ❤️. Hope they will be able to visit again soon! Thank you again!”
“Henry and Sharon have been amazing dog sitters for my 7month old puppy Bodhi. They watch him for puppy daycare one day weekly. They are very communicative and reliable and make sure they understand your dog’s personality and care needs so they can make it a comfortable and positive stay. We had a meet and greet with their dog Rufus prior to setting up daycare and Bodhi and Rufus play very well together. They always send a Rover card documenting how the day went with photos and potty breaks. They even go above and beyond and give Bodhi mental enrichment with puzzles and healthy treats. Thank you Sharon and Henry for taking such good care of my little boy!”

About: I grew up with Afghan hounds, so dogs have been a part of my life forever. We adopted our first rescue, Jazzy, in 2015. We have adopted adult cats and kittens. I usually remember pet names before I remember human names when I meet somebody new. I can do in-home boarding for a cat or small dog/puppy if they can get along with our kitten. Otherwise I can come to your home and tuck your fur babies in and greet them early in the morning. Please reach out to discuss. During the day, I am available to walk your dog, feed and play with your pets, and provide all kinds of TLC. Call me! I'm currently building a business as a realtor. I grew up in Southern California, and lived in Alabama for 21 years, where I was a French professor. I moved to El Dorado Hills in 2023 to be near family. Four generations of my family, from my mom down to my four-year-old grandson, live in the Sacramento area. I love pets, and I'd love to help you with yours when you're on the road. I work with clients to provide the kind of customized care that their pet needs. I know pets have all personality types. Some like cuddles, some do not. We are there for your pets needs, whatever they may be.
“Alexa provided such a wonderful Rover experience. She's a great communicator, very attuned to a pet's care instructions, and I came back to find my pup so relaxed and happy with her. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with her, thank you Alexa!”

“Elaine, treated Cruz like one of her own. She gave her lots of love and attention. Cruz had such a great time with her and her pups that she didn’t want to leave each day, and was ecstatic going back each morning. Elaine provided us with great pics and detailed updates. So thankful to know that Cruz had a wonderful week of daycare with her!!”

I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so very familiar with what to do. Happy to take care of yours or take your pups on a nice walk😊 I work from my phone so can essentially do anything or be anywhere as needed. About: Im so excited to be working for you! What a treat to be able to love on your beautiful babies! I enjoy pet sitting so much because just like people, animals have their own personalities and it’s really neat for me to discover them in all the little fur friends I get to meet. I am good natured and loving and your pet will notice that right off the bat. I’m caring and compassionate and you won’t have to worry about your babies while I am there. I enjoy overnight stays because I know it’s important for them to be “at home”. It’s easy for me to feel at home wherever I go! I have a kitty and he stays home and is very content with that. He is a super friendly 15 lb MainCoon that has a very sweet personality. He’s always up for belly rubs. He does not accompany me on any of my stays or visits. I have several families that aren’t on rover that I just love so much. So their reviews aren’t on here. But if you need references, please let me know. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hang out with your fur family and know that you can rest easy knowing they are in good hands, I am open to visits and check ins or even long weekends or vacations. It would be great to come to you. Take a vacation and relax knowing your home and sweet babies are being lovingly cared for. Unfortunately I am unable to board any pets at this time. I don’t have the needed space to accommodate them. Thank you so very much!

“Jenny was great with Raafi! She followed all the care instructions provided. When we picked him up at the end of the day, he kept looking at Jenny from the car while she walked back into the house. That’s how we know he really bonded with her. Thank you Jenny for looking after our puppy!”

“Indy loves being at Sarah’s house so much, she didn’t want to leave. It took some convincing to get her to come back home with me at the end of the day. It’s so reassuring to know that Indy is well taken care of and loved by Sarah’s family.”
“Michelle and Dave are amazing! I knew I had found the perfect sitters within minutes. Truly dog lovers. My three year old Pom Chi has never had day care, she loves them! I highly recommend them!”

Secondly, your dog is going to have a great time! We have a fenced-in backyard and if your dog likes to swim, we have a [gated] pool for them to play. We're located near plenty of dog parks and hiking trails which we visit nearly every weekend. I love spending time outdoors so your doggo will get plenty of exercise. Last but not least, my dog Clay makes a wonderful companion so your dog will have a built-in buddy during their stay. He's extraordinarily loving and gentle, very easy to get along with. Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and we hope to meet you and your dog very soon! I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule which makes it easy for me to give your pets plenty of love and attention. Because we have a dog of our own that we love and adore, we know how important it is to find a sitter you trust. We'll look after your fur baby as if they were our own!

“Cole was amazing with our beagle puppy, Cowboy. Cole was super communicative and friendly, and he took Cowboy on a long walk at the nearby dog park. Cole has dogs of his own, so he has a wealth of knowledge on how to train and take care of our dog. Would highly recommend Cole!”

“Riley did a great job with my shy grown pup. Riley shared quality feedback and photos with me on how Dakota responded to her, even after meeting her, which was helpful. Dakota is a shy girl, but sometimes warms up quickly. She gets homesick from her mama, but Riley handled it well. She was timely, responsive, and professional.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. After receiving my degree in Animal Science, I worked for an animal sanctuary for 6 years where we helped rescue, rehabilitate and care for animals in need. I've also been petsitting for neighbors and friends since I was 12-years-old. Since leaving the animal sanctuary, I’ve found myself really missing caring for animals and would love to help anyone, animals especially, that need assistance. Love playing, walking, and cuddling! Go for a morning walk before work. Take my dog to work with me and take him on a walk at lunch. Or if working from home, go for a walk on our lunch break. Gets fed 3 times a day and many treats! May go to the river or creek after work or on weekends. Dogs are allowed on couch for cuddles. I have a doggy door so dogs can go outside as needed. All doors and windows are closed and locked. The backyard is fenced with nice grassy area to run around. No kids, toys, or sharp objects in house for animals to hurt themselves on.
“Bailey is super communicative and an awesome dog walker!! I had to find someone ASAP and she was super accommodating. I really appreciate her updates and timeliness. I highly recommend her services!!!”

About: I have always taken care of friends/family pets and or housesitting, and started expanding across the community! Am happy to help with whatever task is needed! Currently going to school and am open otherwise! Would love to fill the schedule up to help others out with any pet or house needs! I can very easily work with both dogs and cats, and will always respect one’s home and do whatever is necessary to keep things clean and tidy.
About: I have taken care of all types of animals including dogs and cats since I was 14. I have experience in working in a vet clinic and can handle if any major or minor inconveniences happen. I have walked, fed, done drop ins, and stayed in order to watch dogs and cats. I am also comfortable and have experience giving any sort of medication. I am currently an undergraduate student at UNR and am not working so anytime I don’t have class I have time to watch over animals or do drop ins in between classes. I live in a student apartment so I would be willing to watch cats but I also have roommates and want to remain respectful. However I am comfortable crating or handling cats in dogs in any environment including their home.
About: Hi! I’m Tarron — lifelong animal lover, rescue director, and experienced handler with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs and many other animals including cats, ducks, goats, bunnies. I’m the Executive Director of a nonprofit animal rescue and have extensive experience with: * rescue and anxious dogs * senior dogs * puppies * medication administration * decompression and slow introductions * leash handling and structured walks * dogs recovering from surgery/injury * reactive or fearful dogs I understand that every dog is different and I always prioritize safety, patience, structure, and making dogs feel comfortable and secure. Because I have animals of my own and run a rescue, I currently focus on: * drop-in visits * dog walking * medication visits * structured enrichment walks * pet transport/help with vet visits I’m especially comfortable with dogs that may need a little extra understanding or experience beyond a typical pet sitter/walker. Reliable, communicative, calm, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. I currently work as a program manger for adults with special needs, and manage a small team of individuals. Mornings and evening are best. As well as Tuesdays, and weekends. I do not provide pet care in my own home at this time, but I will gladly come to yours and spend time with your fur babies!
About: Owner Away? I’ll Sit and Stay. I am willing to take care of your dog at my house or yours and have been an avid lover of our furry friends for as long as I can remember. Besides caring for dogs, cats, birds, fish and gerbils of my own in the past, I have been declared the animal whisperer in my family. I am currently a third-year student studying to create prosthetics for animals at Cal Poly University and volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as two other organizations that foster and rehouse animals to their furrrever homes. I would love nothing more than the opportunity to meet with you and your pet to give them the best level of care while you're away and to help you feel confident in trusting to leave your fur baby with me. I am currently taking this quarter off of school to focus on work and so I have quite a bit of free time as my job only requires that I work from home. That being said, whatever availability is required to fit your needs, that is a department I am more than flexible to appease. Ideally, I would like to offer care in the client's home, whether that be pet/house sitting or just walking the dog. In that situation, I would be more than happy to take care of upkeeping the household if need be (i.e. water plants, take out the trash, pick up the mail, etc.) I live in an apartment complex where smaller animals are allowed so depending on the client's case, I can try to accommodate housing arrangements in my home instead.

“Michelle was absolutely amazing!! She was professional, took my puppy directions very well and had great communication while I was gone. She is a natural with dogs and that made me that much more confident to leave my dog with her. Definitely will be using her more in the future!”

“Thank you so much for loving our pets as much as we do! They were both exhausted when we got home which is hard to do with dobermans! We felt at ease on our vacation knowing that they were in good hands. We got some cute pictures too!”

“Galady is absolutely amazing. She provides a great environment for any dog to feel comfortable. She provides updates regularly and photos :) she was also very accommodating when it came to pick up and drop off times. I felt so good knowing our Milo was in such good hands while we were away!”

“Nancy was absolutely awesome! She took excellent care of our guy with plenty of exercise. More than he is used to! He came back a little trimmer! He also had plenty of his favorite thing...relaxing next to someone on a couch! She only does obe dog at a time which is even better. She has a wealth of experience with training large dogs. I highly recommend her.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Deborah! She was attentive, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Our pup was happy and well-cared for, and we received regular updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away. She also took our pup on walks which was great. We will look forward to use her service again. Highly recommend!”
“Reginay was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of Kobe and sent photos and videos every single day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Kobe was happy and well cared for. We’re so grateful and would definitely book with her again!”
