My husband (a social worker) and I are both dog lovers and have a dog (a Frenchie) as well. I work from home (I run a marketing agency I started 12 year ago) and alas much of typical day I'm on zoom, and treasure the breaks for walking and loving on the dogs. While new to Rover, if been helping out friends and neighbors with dog care and logistics and sharing the love for years I'm reliable, work from home, and would love to know how you could use some help. Currently offering to sit or board one dog at a time or arrange prescheduled walks. I'll treat them like family. Comfortable with dogs of many sizes and personalities, and happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Our dog Fiona, a frenchie, plays well with others and has some unique needs including no rough play + daily medicine needs so we're familiar with special rules and medical needs. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. About: I’ve had cats my entire life and understand them well. My sweet kitty just passed away at 20 years old and I’d love to help take care of yours. I frequently travel for work for weeks on end, but when I am home and able to cat-sit, my schedule can be completely flexible. Day / night. Since I only offer cat-sitting, I doubt that this section about my own house will matter much. Cats don’t like to be relocated for temporary purposes.

About: I grew up with many animals in our household from dogs, cats, turtles, birds, fish, and bunnies and always had a unique connection to them. I have an innate empathetic understanding with them. I have experience with training younger dogs, as well as taking care of elderly dogs. I have experience providing necessary medication if needed, as well as lots of love and snuggles and adventurous hikes or leisurely walks for elderly animals. I’ve worked in many dog shelters taking care of dogs of all different ages. I have also been a dog walker/sitter with rover and wag for about 6 years now. With me your puppers are in good hands :) I am working on a farm from 8-4 M-Th so weekends are more ideal. I like to take pups out first thing in the morning for a little stroll and on weekends I usually spend more time relaxing at home. I’m always checking in on them and giving them love whether that looks like playing with them or giving them a cuddle. I also check the water bowl multiple times a day to make sure they are hydrated. I try to have regular feeding times as well.

About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I’m the perfect person to hang out with and cuddle your furry friend while you’re away. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I am home for most of the day and am typically not gone from the home for more than a couple hours at a time. Love having the pets sleep with me and venture out to hiking spots or day trips if that is something that suits them.

My fur babies have 3 dog beds but are always allowed on my bed and sofa. They have a ball pit full of toys , and when I need to leave for a moment babygates and dog fence it is.

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs for 30 years. I have two Pittbull mixes , one boxer Pitt and one Pitt bulldog. The Pitt Bull Dog has intervertebral disk disease and used my training in occupational therapy and massage and did physical therapy with him myself so he could use his back legs again, after being paralyzed and needing a wheelchair. He’s now able to walk without his wheelchair. I’ve also taken pittbull training classes with them and am knowledgeable about training cues. I currently work as a distribution sales executive, and work from home, so have free time in the afternoons and weekends. I have a baby and two dogs of my own and would still be able to take some time to visit other dogs in my area. I can check on pets during the day or while clients are on vacation . I can take them on walks, let them out in the yard, play fetch , feed them , snuggle them, and even give medicine.

About: Walks through Armstrong Redwoods are a favorite activity. I have a large yard and a dog friendly house. I have a couple of years experience working in a veterinary clinic giving me experience medicating animals, including giving injections. I have a pool for dogs who love to swim! I was a volunteer and puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence back in the mid to late 1980's, and a Puppy Petter for Assistance Dog Institute in the early 2000's. I've also kept busy with boarding in my home for friends and acquaintances. I love dogs!! I have Sundays and Mondays off from my full time job, but I can fit in a nice walk after 4 pm most other days. When I have someone's dog, they get my full attention; we play, exercise, snuggle. My focus is providing an enriching experience for your dog .

“Sarah and her family are fantastic! We were in town for a wedding and brought our dog, Mr. Kirby. We booked an overnight for the wedding night. Coming from far away and booking a sitter not in your town is a bit scary, but she had great reviews, and now we know why. She was very communicative even beforehand, and after we dropped our baby off, we didn't have time to worry, because she sent us so many photos and updates! She knows exactly what dog owners want to know, too: if he ate, if he pooped lol, everything! She also saved a puppy tooth that he lost while there, which was so sweet! He looked so happy in the photos with her husband and sweet son! She was careful introducing him to her dogs (which we appreciated), since he was only there one night, and he met and did well with her cat, which is the kind of exposure we want for him. We would definitely use her again if we come back to town. When we picked up Mr. Kirby, he was happy but made sure to turn around to give Sarah some love before we left, which gave my heart a warm feeling. About: I began my seriously joyous devotion to animals at the age of 11, as an SF ZOO volunteer in the barnyard, where I learned to care for a variety of animals, from miniature horses to coyotes to parrots, and more. I have continued to attract rescuing wayward beasts of all kinds, providing them with excellent love and care. I am a natural nurturer, the animals feel at home with me wherever we are. I have worked as a cat, dog and multi-pet sitter for many years, up until now, only through personal referrals. I am a kundalini yoga teacher, craniosacral and polarity therapist. My son is grown and I have a very flexible schedule. I love to get out with the dogs for long walks and if they don’t mind the car, we might get to the beach. I have a lovely minimalist home for your pet, a small garden and plenty of leashed walking in the woods space for regular exercise. If a dog is ok with car rides, I’m happy to take them to the beach.
