About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, patience, and exercise. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks. I adore puppies due to their excitable nature and high energy! Cats have a special place in my heart because of the memories I share with the cats I’ve had but if you were to ask me if I was a cat or dog person; I’d say, “Why can’t you be both?” LGBTQIA+ friendly I graduated from college with a degree in anthropology and am now back in my hometown working a part-time contract job. My work schedule is very flexible so with enough time’s notice I can work any request into it. I am typically free to feed and walk pets in the morning and evening, as typical schedules go. I am very much used to taking care of pets in other’s houses and will follow the rules of the house perfectly. I have house sat in Kosher households before so I am familiar with the importance of following set rules. I am okay with pets that sleep on the bed with the owner or having to crate up a pet for the night. I am a private person and often keep to myself; I don’t cause a ruckus! About: I absolutely adore all kinds of animals. I currently have my bestfriend Benji he’s 8 years old and part border collie we walk/run about 25-30 miles a week. I’ve worked at multiple doggy daycares. I have experience walking dogs at work and also house calls. Hiking is my favorite way to spend my time. I work full time at a school, however I’m open to weekends and after school hours. I do have breaks during the year that I’m available also. About: I am empathetic towards others and have a soft spot for all animals. I am a friendly, loving, energetic person who owns 2 dogs and one bunny. Simba the bunny is 3 years old, my 12 year old schnoodle named Coco and my 6 year old Pitbull named Bella. I enjoy walking Coco in downtown or the beach, after 3 knee surgeries she can't keep up like before. Bella and I on the other hand enjoy taking long hikes or walks across town. Bella can be reactive with other dogs so I do have experience handling dogs who are anxious. I have successful trained puppies in basic commands such as to sit, stay, shake hands, and roll over. I believe it is important to spend time to stimulate the mind by teaching them new tricks. The smallest dog I have dog sat was a 5lb Yorki and the biggest dog weighed in at 65lbs. I do feel comfortable caring for all dog sizes and all dog ages. I'm currently working part-time and once we agree on a schedule I will be committed to sticking to it as I know the importance of structure for a dog. I like to have the dog/cat feel as comfortable as possible. Giving them time to adjust to me. I ask specific questions about feeding time, how and when. I have my dogs on a schedule and my day flows a lot smoother. When walking I like to make sure they are calm and following my commands before we start our walk. I don't just walk your dog I study them, look for cues of anxiety, nervousness or stress. Something I often do with my dog Bella. Because of how she reacts to other dogs I find places and times of the day she won't have many distractions so we can both enjoy the walk.

About: I’ve cared for dogs in a wide range of situations, including senior dogs, special-needs pups, and dogs recovering from injuries. Most dogs love nature, and it's exciting to see them perk up on walks at the sound of chirping birds, rustling brush, or a skittering lizard. There are great dog-friendly nature paths in Novato and San Rafael that give the pups both sniffing and social opportunities, so they come home tired and content. What I’m especially good at is communication. I pay close attention to a dog’s eyes, ears, posture, and energy, because they tell you so much before they ever make a sound. I use a gentle “dog voice” (yes, the sweet baby-talk voice) and clear, steady cues, because many dogs respond quickly to warmth, tone, and consistency. Even anxious or shy dogs usually soften when they realize they’re being understood. I’ve also cared for large dogs, and my Labrador retriever loves having big buddies to play with. No matter the size, age, or temperament, I’m respectful of each dog’s individual needs, and I make sure they feel safe, seen, and truly cared for with plenty of affection, attention, patience, and exercise. I currently work from home, and I have a (mostly) flexible schedule. I like to get out with my dog two times a day for 2+ mile walks on local trails and parks.
