“Rocky can be a picky dog, with humans and dogs. When I dropped him off for daycare I was so nervous that he wouldn’t play nice and would wreak havoc. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked him up and they said he did great. By the time we got home, he was snoring away. Jill and Liz did great with Rocky and he will definitely be back! About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

On a daily basis, I can dedicate time in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and any needed check-ins on weekends. Evenings during the week. I’m good at adjusting my schedule to match the pet’s routine, whether that means early morning walks or evening drop-ins. On a weekly level, I plan ahead so I can make sure I’m available for longer care periods like overnights or multiple visits per day. I’m also comfortable being consistent with routines like medication schedules, exercise, and keeping the pet’s environment clean and safe. Overall, I treat pet care like a real responsibility, not something I “fit in” when convenient I structure my time around it to make sure the pet stays comfortable and cared for. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping the pet’s routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow the instructions exactly as provided feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, medication (if any), and any specific behavior or care notes about the pet. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. I don’t just “stop by and do tasks” I treat it like I’m temporarily responsible for the pet’s wellbeing and comfort, and I make sure they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.
About: I have always had dogs growing up. I currently have a French Bulldog that is my 2nd baby. I will take care of your fur babies as if they were mine. I just moved to the Bakersfield area from La where I had established a good Rover schedule but have to start over meeting new furry friends. About: For over 7 years, I’ve provided dedicated care for dogs of all breeds and ages. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or extra cuddles, I treat every pet like family. Pet parents trust me to keep their furry friends safe, happy, and loved while they’re away. This will be a safe space for them. I work full-time Mon-Fri. However, Fri-Sun I have more than enough time to provide proper care and lots of attention to your furry friends. They're in good hands. During certain months there will be availability during weekdays I provide a safe, welcoming environment with a fenced backyard and one friendly cat, Kurin, for companionship. If needed, I can easily crate your pup. I always supervise playtime, ensure pets have fresh water, and give them plenty of love and attention so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I would like them to roam freely around the house unless specified otherwise. The goal is to try and recreate their normal routine, so they feel at home.
