About: Having owned cats at a young age, I have a great understanding in feline body language and temperament. I understand that trust is earned on a cat’s terms. I’m able to recognize subtle cues to determine when to provide space or when to give them attention. Whether your cat is a social butterfly or just a shy baby, I ensure they feel safe and unhurried in their own environment.

“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. Shanna has been very reassuring and understanding. throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her.”

“Karla Michelle took wonderful care of my dog Rhonda! My dog is anxious around new people but she was safe and cared for when she stayed with Karla. Karla sent me updates and photos, and Rhonda felt comfortable around her dogs who are calm and friendly. I would definitely rebook in the future with Karla Michelle!”

“Rocky can be a picky dog, with humans and dogs. When I dropped him off for daycare I was so nervous that he wouldn’t play nice and would wreak havoc. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked him up and they said he did great. By the time we got home, he was snoring away. Jill and Liz did great with Rocky and he will definitely be back! Big plus for sending me a photo after about 30 minutes assuring me he was fine :)”

“This was first time leaving my dog. I was a little nervous since we were in town for my husbands work so I was not familiar with the area, people or just leaving him. Nalani did a great job making it comfortable for me. I took my dog to her two days and it was such a great experience. He did well and Nalani gave him lots of attention. Thank you so much for taking care of my fur baby while we were in town. I highly recommend her.”

My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

“Haley was a very thoughtful, flexible sitter for Jethro. He can be a handful at times, but she was great at understanding his (and our) needs while we were out of town. She is trustworthy and goes the extra mile to make sure your dog is comfortable, and updated throughout the day without needing to be asked. I’d recommend her if you are looking for someone to trust with the security of your home, and safety and happiness of your animals.”

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.

About: I’ve had pets of all kinds ever since I was a kid. I grew up around livestock and showed pigs through 4-H. I’ve never had a dog-less household, and I strongly believe every dog is a lap dog. I would love to get to know and spoil each and every one of your pups, while keeping you updated every step of the process. Although I only have one review on my profile, I have been taking care of friends’ and family’s pets for years. I guarantee a 5 star experience for you and your pets. I am currently self-employed, so I am extremely flexible when it comes to my schedule. Just let me know what you need, and we can make it happen! I have a fenced in yard, with two of my own indoor/outdoor dogs. There are also 2 indoor/outdoor cats, so no dogs that could put them in danger.
“Brandan is great with our one year old fur baby! Simba has separation anxiety, but Brandan stays patient with him and attends to his needs to make him comfortable. We appreciate that he is flexible with our schedule and treats Simba like family. Simba is always excited to go to daycare as he starts to show excitement when we approach Brandan’s home and runs up to his door! If you are looking for someone who is compassionate and trustworthy; Brandan is the one!”

“Veronica is really kind and gentle to my dog that is extremely anxious and whiny. The rover card was updated and photos were uploaded as well. And it was a bit chilly and she gave my dog a nice sweater to go home with.”

About: As someone who has owned pets, I have years of experience in caring for cats, dogs, lizards, bunnies and more! When I could not locate a proper groomer for my shihtzu, I learned how cut my dog’s hair and clip his nails. When I owned cats, I did extensive research on diet to ensure they had all the nutrition they needed. I’m still fairly new to owning bunnies but I have learned a lot from vet visits and testimonials from other bun parents! I work two other jobs but I make my own schedule so I can fit late afternoon and nightly check ins, baths, walks, overnight sitting, and errands into my day if that’s what you’d like. I would love to spend as much time as I can making sure that your pet is well loved and taken care of. I don’t want to break an animal’s routine so if you have your pet on a schedule/routine, diet, or regiment of some sort, I plan to stick to that.

Every animal is unique so I tailor my schedule and the fur baby’s schedule with what the owner/fur parent prefers and based on each baby’s needs. About: I’m 20 years old with a career path of becoming a veterinarian. I have lots of experience with dogs, as I have two of my own, and I’m a really big animal person. I typically watch over friends’ and family’s dogs, which I have a blast doing. I like going to dog parks and going on runs, as I’m a very active person. I have experience with drop-ins, making sure they are fed, played with, and well taken care of. I also have experience With overnight stays! I’m a very flexible and spontaneous person! My schedule is three things: school, part-time work, and the gym. Making time to care for, feed, walk, and play with animals is no problem. As for taking dogs on walks, that would fit naturally into my routine. On my days off, I would have extra time to give the pet more attention and care. Pet care is something I generally enjoy and something I would look forward to doing as well, since it is the career path I’m pursuing. :) care for pets by making sure they have fresh water and are fed the appropriate amount of food, depending on how much the owner usually feeds them. I’ll follow the pet’s daily routine as closely as possible. I’ll make time to take them with me on runs for exercise, provide plenty of playtime, and give them bathroom breaks whenever needed. Respecting my client’s home and space is very important, as is making sure I treat their pet the same way I treat my own dogs!
About: I have experience and patience to deal with dogs. My house is well maintenance and have a big yard for dogs to run around and play I have the time to do it. They just need to let me know with time what days and times will they drop off and pick up I keep them in a save enviroment. Feed them as told by per owner. Will have them in good care. About: I focus on giving each dog consistent attention, patience, and a calm environment so they feel safe and comfortable. I follow care instructions exactly, keep routines consistent, and communicate clearly with daily updates and photos. I’m especially attentive to each dog’s behavior and energy level, making sure they get the right balance of play, rest, and care while you’re away. Pet care fits into my routine in a very consistent and flexible way. I naturally build my schedule around reliability and attention to detail, so I’m used to checking in on responsibilities throughout the day rather than letting things pile up. On a daily basis, I can dedicate time in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings for walks, feeding, playtime, and any needed check-ins on weekends. Evenings during the week. I’m good at adjusting my schedule to match the pet’s routine, whether that means early morning walks or evening drop-ins. On a weekly level, I plan ahead so I can make sure I’m available for longer care periods like overnights or multiple visits per day. I’m also comfortable being consistent with routines like medication schedules, exercise, and keeping the pet’s environment clean and safe. Overall, I treat pet care like a real responsibility, not something I “fit in” when convenient I structure my time around it to make sure the pet stays comfortable and cared for. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping the pet’s routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow the instructions exactly as provided feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, medication (if any), and any specific behavior or care notes about the pet. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. I don’t just “stop by and do tasks” I treat it like I’m temporarily responsible for the pet’s wellbeing and comfort, and I make sure they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.

For walks I’m available after my shifts or before I am closing. House sitting if you allow me I can leave from your place to my job. About: My passion for animals started when I was young. I begged for a puppy at the age ten until I got one. My first pet was a teacup chihuahua, named Teacup, and I absolutely adored her. Twelve years later, I owned a Husky mix, named Smokey. Which provided me with experience handling small and large dogs. I also have experience working at Saint Louis Zoo is Missouri. It started off as an internship, then the next year I worked as a part-time zoo keeper for a year. I also have experience volunteering at SPCA through highschool. For colloge I attended Harris-Stowe State University, and majored in Biology. I completed 100 credits. If your interested in my services please feel free to contact me; I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby My availability is currently open. I do not have any other duties throughout the day, which means I can give your pet my full attention! Your pet will never be left alone and unsupervised. I treat the pets as if I have a friend over. They will never get bored with me because I am super playful. If they’re not the playful type, then I love cuddles as well. I also love walking and going for a jog, so we would spend a lot of time outside, if the pet wants. I understand all pets have different behaviors and personalities, so I make sure I know about the dog before the booking.
