About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I remember. I have had many dogs of my own over the years who I have cared for dearly. I have taken care of puppies all the way to senior dogs. I’ll make sure to keep an eye on your fur baby and send you updates throughout the stay, so you won’t have to worry about anything. I have plenty of time in my hands to be able to watch over your pets at all times. I’ll have enough time to be able to take them on walks around the neighborhood, and as well to play with them. Your pet will have my full time and love. I have a fenced yard that your pet is able to use to run around in or play. I as well have two dogs of my own who are super friendly and would love to play with your furry friend. If needed I could crate my own pets to guarantee the safety of your pet so it can enjoy its free roaming space without worrying.
“Jessie was wonderful to work with! She happily met Maisey and me for a meet and greet before I booked. She took care of my shy, scared rescue puppy for the first time she had been away from me. Jessie rose to the challenges my girl presented. She sent photo updates and responded to my nervous dog mom messages. I absolutely trust Jessie and it gave me comfort to know Maisey was with her and well taken care of while I was far away!”

About: While I've not cared for a cat of my own, I've had years of experience caring for friends' and neighbors' cats before providing cat care services on Rover. I always let the cat dictate the level of engagement--if he or she wants to play or cuddle, I love to dole out pets and playtime, but I also respect when cats want less interaction.

“She took amazing care of my sphynx, Noodle. I’m nervous about someone I don’t know watching him but I felt so comfortable and knew Noodle was in good hands. 100% will book again!!”

My cat, Luke, is harness trained, clicker trained for tricks, and could play all day long! While that isn’t the case for every cat, I hope my care for Luke can make you feel confident for allowing me to care for yours 🐱

About: I adopted my first cat Bowie when I was 20 and he truly changed my life for the better. Since adopting him I've worked full time for a year in an animal shelter, adopted another cat (Chibi), and fostered over 10 cats with my local shelter. I've fostered a wide range of cats ranging from 3 week old kittens that required syringe feeding, daily medications, and extensive weight tracking to senior cats in their golden years. I've also experienced caring for a hospice cat which required administering medication, food, and liquids through an E-tube. As a fellow cat mom with a passion for caring for animals, I can assure you I will give your furry family member the respect, attention, and love they deserve!
About: I keep up to date on tips and tricks for dog care! I used to work for Bark Magazine, as well as a pet sitting company based in Davis. I have experience dog sitting all sizes of dog (from Chihuahuas to Danes!) as well as cats! I have experience sitting pups training to become well-behaved and responsible dogs. I am good to work around your schedule if you have work during the day as well! If the ground/cement it too hot for walks I'll try to get dogs to play or run around in whatever area is available (backyard/larger living space). I usually like to take them to parks, when the weather is nice. I’ve always taken care of pets, whether for my family, neighbors, or clients! I often like taking walks during lunch so walking or visiting pets during that time is very normal for me. I love to use what is available to me! If you have a small yard or a nice walkway near your home, I’ll make the most of it. Same goes for cats, a good toy basket or a nice place to find them is always helpful!

About: Besides caring for my own dog for nearly 13 years, including nearly a year of hospice care, I also have experience volunteering at animal sanctuaries and cat-sitting for roommates and neighbors. I consider companion animals to be family members, and the care I provide reflects that belief. I work from home, and my schedule is flexible, so I’m easily able to accommodate anything an animal in my care needs. “Valerie was amazing! We reached out just one day before we needed someone to watch our dog, Choco, and she was incredibly accommodating. She was very flexible with both drop-off and pick-up times, which made everything so much easier for us. Throughout Choco’s stay, she kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear from the pictures that he was happy, comfortable, and having a great time with her. We’re very grateful for the excellent care she gave Choco and wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again. We highly recommend Valerie to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative pet sitter!”

“Marya has been taking good care of Finley weekly since he was just a puppy. She is very patient with my high energy dog and he gets extremely excited every time we pull into her driveway area :)”

“Kathleen is amazing! For Sherlock was love at first sight and he came home tired and happy. She understood my dog medical condition, asked thoughtful questions, and took good care of him. I will sure book her service again if needed!”

About: I have a Golden Retriever that is 6 years old and my cat who is 4 & mean the world to me. I’ve pet sat for friends and family throughout the years and enjoy spending time with them. I’ve gone through the puppy and kitten phase so I understand the chaos it entails. I’ve dealt with special food diets, reactive barking on walks, stranger anxiety etc. I have not had to give any meds other than regular flea & tick but I am more than willing to learn. I am a nursing student and am not queasy or new to the importance and safety it requires. I am more than happy to have day & overnight boarding in my home as long as they can get along well with others. I have a cat stroller & car seat as well if needed. I am a college student on summer break but have dog sat for family and friends in the past. I will try my best to accommodate to any special needs needed if required. I have a lot of patience & my dog (Rocky) is more than happy to keep a friend company. I love providing daily photos of pets to keep you updated. I’m currently at home for summer and often focus on the needs of my animals throughout the day. I do take my dog on daily walks when the pavement is not too hot. I can adjust to any routine necessary if clarified ahead of time. I do not keep my pets crated all day and allow them to free roam. I have a fenced in backyard and an energetic golden retriever to keep your pet company. I also have a separate bedroom for cats if needed. My cat also is very curious & loves other animals. I would prefer to know ahead of time if your pet gets along with cats to accommodate any needs and prevent accidents. Thank you!
About: I'm a very responsible pet parent to my own senior Maltese. I can provide medication as necessary since I'm aware of the medical needs of my own. I have a fenced yard and parks in the area. This is a very dog friendly community. Regular potty breaks and walks are the norm for my house.

“So awesome. Kirsten was available last minute as we were passing through woodland attending a birthday party. Needed a place for our pup to hang out for half the day and Kirsten made herself available. Even coming back a little early from her personal plans to make it all work for us. Can’t recommend her enough! Thank you!”

“Ally was so sweet and we could tell she really wanted Opal to be comfortable. We got lots of updates which we appreciated and would absolutely have Ally watch Opal again when we’re in town next!”

“Bailey gets so excited when we pull up to Giezell’s house! He runs to the door and runs right in - so I know he’s happy going to doggie day care. I think Bailey especially likes Giezell’s little girl too. We appreciate all the pictures and the video is especially adorable. We appreciate all the great care and positive vibes with Giezell. Highly recommend! 💕”

“I needed someone last minute for daycare for my dog. Lilly was very responsive and was able to pick up my request no problem, and Astro seemed like he had a great day with her. Would definitely book again.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different dog breeds and sizes, each with individual needs. I grew up with dogs and cats and have experience from bottle feeding newborn kittens to giving medications to senior pets. My schedule is very flexible, offering pet parents with a variety of pet care support to meet their needs. I work with clients to provide a schedule that works for them. Having fur family members in my home already does not allow for me to provide in my home support. I provide my pet clients with detailed notes on their pet followed by pictures, putting pet owners at ease while away from their fur babe/babies.

About: I have multiple years experience working in dog boarding facilities, as well as small animal veterinary clinics. I have extensive knowledge of dog behavior and welfare, and am able to confidently care for many different types of personalities. I will start veterinary school in the fall, and plan to fit visits in around my class schedule. I commute from Esparto to Davis/Woodland daily and am easily able to make stops anywhere near this commute. I believe in keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine and following given instructions as closely as possible. I operate under the principle that as a sitter, I should do everything (and more) for someone else’s pet that I would expect a sitter to do for my own pets.
About: Hi! My name is Faith Tupin and I am a substitute Paraeducator in the Davis school district, babysitter and grad school student. I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and sheep. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter off and on for a few years and was in 4-H for many years. I have experience with extremely large dogs to tea cup chihuahuas, three legged dogs, dogs needing end of life care (medication administration, pet inhalers), puppies who haven’t been house trained and even service animals. I was taught how to do CPR on dogs even though i’ve never had to put my skills to use. I am active and I love long walks. I am also very clean and will make sure your house looks great when I leave. I currently am working part time and am also able to make my own schedule. This allows me to be flexible and take on additional responsibilities. I always talk to the owners to ensure that I am following their routine and keeping an eye out for any bad habits the dog may have- chewing on cords, digging by fences. I am aware of what food is toxic to dogs and never leave it out. I avoid other dogs on walks and look out for unknown food on the sidewalks that they may be tempted to eat.
About: I’ve always loved animals of all kinds. Insects, reptiles, rats, especially cats and dogs. I’ve also volunteered at the ASPCA for a year! I have experience with almost all animals, and I’d love to help take care of yours! I take care of two pets of my own, but currently don’t have a stable job. My days are open! Might as well do what I love and get payed for it. XD I have a calm smaller dog, and a cat who LOVES dogs (she’s strange I know). I live right next to a huge park and walking trail.
About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up with dogs in my home. For the past 8 years, I’ve also had a cat who has taught me so much about patience, care, and the unique bond we share with our pets. Between my own pets and caring for friends’ cats and dogs, I’ve gained experience with different personalities, ages, and needs. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I truly enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care is naturally part of my daily life since I’ve always had animals at home. I love starting and ending the day with walks, playtime, or cuddle sessions. Because I currently have a very flexible schedule, I can easily fit in feeding, exercise, and companionship throughout the day, making sure pets feel loved and cared for just like they would with their own family. In my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow the routines they’re used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or quiet companionship so they feel at ease. I give lots of attention, cuddles, and exercise when needed, and I’m always careful to keep their environment clean, calm, and stress-free. Every pet is unique, and I make sure to adjust to their needs so they feel cared.
About: I am a regular volunteer at the YOLO animal shelter and Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary. At home I take care of all of my exotic pets, I own a parakeet, cockatiel, bearded dragon, rat, and two fish tanks. I love my at home zoo and taking care of everybody, I'd love to share that joy with YOU! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule to accommodate all YOUR pet's needs! Weekdays are very flexible where-as weekends need a couple days notice. I follow directions diligently and confidently. With all of my pet experiences your pet is sure to feel comfortable, safe and happy in my care.
About: I’ve taken care of six dogs before coming onto Rover. I have experience walking dogs, feeding them, and taking care of dogs of different sizes. I work full-time as a closer at my current job, so I have free-time to be able to take care of animals anytime before 2pm most days. I can do 30 minute visits or longer — whatever you need for your fur baby. I graduated from UC Davis this year, so I’m trying to get hired in the environmental sector to start my career and begin a more typical work schedule. I have an apartment in Woodland where I spend time with my indoor cats. One of my cats is very friendly with people and other cats, but my other cat takes a while to get adjusted to people and other animals, so I only do visits at other people’s places. I treat client’s homes with care, and ensure I do not make any messes or overstep any boundaries.
“Esmerilda took great care of Finn. Prompt and very good communication. She was very patient and caring. The feedback I received from Finns dog friend's were all positive. I would highly recommend Esmerilda on any dog services.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. Friends and family have trusted me for walks, feeding, playtime, and snuggles. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m dependable, patient, and love giving every pet the same care I give my own. I care for pets in their own homes so they feel safe and loved. I stick to their usual routines, give lots of playtime and cuddles, and make sure they’re happy while you’re away.
About: I have lived with pets all my life and have over 6 years of professional experience in all kinds of animals (including but not limited to) birds, reptiles, and amphibians. I have 1 green cheek conure, 1 desert tortoise, 2 cats, and 1 dog myself. I can medicate your animals, but also help with training, exercise, grooming, and other enriching or basic husbandry care. I’ve recently moved to Woodland to help my sister with her kids, which leaves me some time for myself but not enough for a full time job. That’s where pet sitting comes in for me. Animal care is an important thing to me, and I love to know I’m helping your pet live their best life. Most pets will be comfortable in their own home so I can make house trips at least twice a day, perhaps more depending on where you are located respective to me. If you’d like me to take your little one into my own home, we can talk about it and go from there :)
About: I worked as a behavioral tech for over a year where I learned all about behavioral training. I’ve had great success with my own dog at home. We have almost always had a dog in my house and know how important of a family member they are. I dog sit for several families when they go on vacation and have been doing this for about a year or so. My background is with children and have a lot of patience and love as a result! I am available full time as of right now. If this changes, I will update my availability ASAP. I wouldn’t be away from the home for very long most of the time. Any occasion where I would be away from the home for a significant amount of time, I would first make sure that the dog was completely cared for (fed, watered, pottied, and played with) before leaving. I will not be providing care in my own home. However, I do know of a dog park in the area as well as public parks for walks.

“Kirsten was great!! She was kind and communicative by sending me pics/vids with updates and was very reassuring as it was my first time having my boy away from home. I would definitely trust her to watch him again, 10/10”

“Lupe was absolutely wonderful with our service dog. She accepted him at the last minute during the holidays, which was truly a godsend for me since he’s always by my side. I can’t thank her enough.”

She is very sweet and professional the first time we met. I picked her before but didnt need her that time . She was very sweet and understanding thats why when i needed a sitter she wss the first person i contacted. Ceecee has very bad speration anxiety and this was my first time leaving her with someone she didnt know. I called and texted a million times she never missed not one call or text and made me feel at easy everytime. My dog also have pancreatitis She have a special diet she followed all food instructions i gave her .. Ceecee was smiling the whole time she was with her and she dont do that with anyone. About: Hi! I'm Susi, and my goal is to make your time away as stress free as possible, for both you and your pets. My experience comes from being a lifelong dog owner and understanding firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I know that every dog has their own routine, comfort level, and quirks that make them who they are. That’s why I focus on providing personalized care for one family at a time, creating a calm and comfortable environment where your pet can feel safe and loved. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new, so I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, giving you peace of mind while you're away. I'll follow your instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite toys and bedtime routines, so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. When your pet stays with me, they'll receive the same love, patience, and care I'd want for my own family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I’ve structured my schedule so every pet in my care receives consistent attention, companionship, and supervision. I’m home everyday of the week and have plenty of time for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm and 6pm-9pm, but someone is always home, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. Because I only care for one family’s pets at a time, I’m able to give them focused, personalized care instead of dividing my attention between multiple bookings. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress free as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets can settle in and feel like part of the family. I have a large, fully fenced yard for supervised potty breaks, playtime, and outdoor enrichment, along with a quiet dog park just a few blocks away that is usually empty. I only use the park when it is appropriate for the individual dog and with the owner’s permission. I also have a dog (Jayda) of my own who is friendly, calm, and respectful of other dogs’ boundaries. I always prioritize safe introductions and closely monitor interactions so every pet feels comfortable. If a visiting dog is not comfortable around other dogs, my home has separate rooms and spaces where pets can be safely kept apart whenever necessary. Their comfort and safety always come first. Because I care for one family at a time, I can give each pet personalized attention and follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. For care in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. During drop-ins or house sitting, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, litter box or yard cleanup, medication when needed, playtime, affection, and any other care instructions provided. For walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and letting each dog move at a pace that suits their age, energy level, and comfort. No matter the service, I send regular photo and message updates so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving attentive care.
“Kathleen is observant, intuitive and sensitive to our dog Juno's well being. Just tried overnight boarding for first time and Juno was relaxed upon pick up. She was very comfortable in the home, and even crawled in to sleep with Honey in her kennel at one point! She will be staying for multiple nights soon and we are very comfortable with her in Kathleen's care.”

“Beyond fantastic! Kasandra kept our cocker while we were away for 2 weeks. Not only was he very well cared for—he was actually better than when we left him! He is way calmer and has better manners than he had at drop off. Kasandra gave me some pointers that will help me a lot with him at home. This gal is a dog whisperer!! I could not be more grateful. Thank you Kasandra!”

“Cecilia is very professional and caring. She is a real dog lover! She and her dogs welcomed our energetic puppy and she sent photos and videos every day. We appreciate her work!”

“Brandee was reliable, kind and professional. We felt safe leaving our pup with her and he came back clearly well loved and cared for. Would definitely book with her again.”

“Cindy was very wonderful and did a great job taking care of my dog, Finley while I was gone for a couple days. She sent me frequent updates and pictures which was really nice and relieving for me. I would definitely have her watch Finley again in the future!”

“If I could, I would give Shanna 10 stars. Truly, she was a godsend. We adopted a sweet, albeit unruly border terrier two weeks before we had to leave for an extended weekend. We soon found out he was aggressive towards other dogs and cats on walks. I was nervous about a kennel and stumbled upon rover.com. I found Shanna and met”
“Anthony is top-notch! He took great care of our King Charles Cavalier for four days. Anthony sent lots of pictures and videos of our dog playing with his dog, Kai. He took our dog on many walks to the local park and played fetch with the dogs his backyard. Anthony was very flexible with pickup/drop off times and had everything ready to go when it was time to take our dog home. I highly recommend Anthony for dog boarding and we will be rebooking with him in a few weeks.”

“Rosalinda was immediately receptive and responsive to my last minute request for dog sitting. I made the request 1hr before I needed to head out of town and she approved it! Relief! I also loved the my dog Tilly was able to play with 3 other dogs while she stayed with Rosalinda. And Rosalinda spent a few minutes with Tilly and I before I left to ensure Tilly and I felt settled in. Thank you, Rosalinda!”

“They were so accommodating on such short notice. Gave Bodie the quiet space she needed on the final leg of her spay recovery. Received many updates along with photos. I don't think she wanted to leave when it was time to pick her up. Wonderful people and will definitely keep Marie & James in mind for next time. <3”

“Cedric was awesome and very attentive to my dog Pinchy. His corgi instantly became besties with my dog. We can’t wait to use him again when we go out of town. Thanks a bunch!”
